781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 13, 2023, 09:01:22 PM
ChatGPT is all the rage at the moment. I’ve seen that people are asking it to predict sporting events. Would you leave gambling decisions up to artificial intelligence? Do you see any potential drawbacks for outsourcing your bets to a software program? Has anyone here tried this yet? Do we need someone to put together a thread of ChatGPT predictions to see how accurate they are?  Any other thoughts?
Basically this AI is made by humans where the results of the AI itself are the results of formula analysis and data input into the AI, so AI can respond to what we ask, but unfortunately there are some questions that Ai cannot respond to because there are some that are like local team matches because of the data that hasn't been entered into AI yet, so it might still be limited to popular matches.
I haven't tried using AI technology here to help me decide where to bet in football or other sports, but it seems interesting to bet using the help of AI that is being talked about a lot.
I would guess that "AI" that they are promoting is basically what the openai team puts into it and nothing more. Basically give it all the wikipedia and academic research results and let it be how it is, and maybe fixed by all the responses eventually.

There is a good chance that it could get better in the future but for the time being it doesn't have thoughts and as long as it doesn't have that, it's just a google search engine that is doing a better job and nothing more, it's literally a google that chats with you, that's the maximum capability it has and that is why it won't be able to calculate games and tell you who could win in that game or not.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 13, 2023, 07:01:33 PM
https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/womens-cricket-in-afghanistan-lack-of-progress-a-concern-for-icc-1353307

The ICC has raised a concern regarding women's cricket in Afghanistan. As of now, Afghanistan is the only test nation without a women's team. Even associate nations such as Netherlands and Thailand are having strong women's squads and on the other hand Afghanistan despite receiving millions of USD every year in funds from the ICC hasn't managed to come up with one. ICC constitution makes it mandatory for full members and associate members to allow the development of women's cricket. So far the Afghan Cricket Board hasn't taken any steps in this direction.
Lol they are a bunch of idiots and this problem is there only because of them, they hardly care tbh.

If that was the case or even a serious talking point then ICC could've stripped Afghanistan's test status. They just need to follow their own rules, that's it.

Meanwhile, CA also joined their usual monkey balancing on a moral compass.
Agree, because ICC needs to take tough decision and stripped their test status even if they can ban their men's team this could be also good because Taliban doing useless tactics and world needs to act quickly and have to take tough decision's about this all which will bring them in main stream with balanced system, and surely they could be able to bring better policies for the women's as well which are important for having better future of them.

CA is also good about this all, and they need to stay with this all until we have good positive development about this all because if we will not support them surely they could be ruin things for their own sack and many countries will suffer with this all well because they are threat for the world right now.
783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best crypto selling method on exchanges on: January 12, 2023, 09:11:50 PM
So, what do you prefer, to sell your coins instantly for less or to open an order and profit a slight better margin, reaching the general market's prices rates?
Depends on your goal, if you have a specific price where you want to sell your coins then use the limit order, set the price where you want to trigger the order, and set also the selling price.
Or you can immediately sell your all your buy using market order it will be sold at the current price. For me, I always use market order when I am selling some of my coins if I needed the funds immediately.
As long as the set price is realistic (not that high enough) then it won't take long for some one to take it. I always do this at all times because I also lack patience. If all fails then I just choose on the pre-existing orders of other users but usually, we can't earn much from this one but those sellers are the ones who gains more.

Nowadays, we have been told to be careful on using an exchange so guys shouldn't store funds on an exchange longer as the issues about FTX is still fresh so maybe there is a tendency that a domino effect would happen just like on the past specifically after the collapse of terra coin's Luna and their stable coin UST.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 12, 2023, 08:44:23 PM
Marseille are slowly closing the gap with lens after their win yesterday against troyes and they benefited from lens draw against strasbourg, now with only two points away they pose a huge threat, they are playing very well since the break is over but catching up to lens will also be difficult because they aren't losing much points either.
Lens are only 2 points above Marseille, and any mistake from Lens would give Marseille the opportunity to climb to second and pull Lens down to third, i was disappointed that Lens drew with Strasbourg, i wanted them to continue winning so they can stay very close with psg at the top of the table, but now they have fallen 6 points behind psg and it is very difficult for them to get close to psg or even climb above them, sadly it is looking like we are going to have the same winner for the Ligue 1 this season, and that's psg.
After the break things looking tough for the Lens even they won against PSG at home, but they lost four points in two matches which are vital for them and Marseille now in next few weeks will we have Marseille at second spot and Lens could be slip because they are looking under pressure which is not good for them after having second spot for long time Monaco is also improving their performance which is giving impression they could be at third and Lens have to stay at fourth.

Now in coming week, we have two tough matches first Rennes will host PSG and then Marseille will host Lorient all other teams are going to play against weaker sides which is surely having not any impact on league table but these two matches surely important because these can change the table.
785  Economy / Speculation / Re: January bitcoin price out look on: January 12, 2023, 07:26:42 PM
And just like that we reached your prediction as bitcoin is trading above the 18k level at the moment, but I will admit that I thought it will take longer for bitcoin to reach this price.

But it is still important to keep our expectations out of this market at reasonable levels, as roughly one month ago we reached this price and then we touched the 16k level again just a few days later, and we saw a similar event two months ago as well, and while this could be the beginning of a strong recovery it could also be nothing more but the whales playing with the price to extract more profits from us and we need to be careful so we avoid falling into a potential bull trap.
Last year, it is normal for any increase to reverse as there are so many negative news and then the trauma is still there. It's not about people being excited and that have cause the dip of the price unless if that excitement lead to sell-offs. It's been a while since we haven't hear a negative news.

The market and the people can breathe clearly now. There is also another excitement that builds up with them and that is the bitcoin halving event. They won't sell now for tiny profits but will rather buy more coins, hodl it and then sell it on the actual event for a much better income.
786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: January 11, 2023, 10:49:01 AM
Sometimes failure could be our best lesson in life, we could learn a lot of thins from our own failure.
And I agree to OP that failure could make us realize a lot and wake us up to reality.
I feel so proud and powerful back then when I was gaining so much from my success but one mistake took it all and made me realize so much.
I wonder if what mistake did you make on why you lose all what you have? Are you talking about winning a big amount in gambling and then greed got you? I think it such a waste if we wait for too long only to realize a thing but we can always do it asap or by the time we fail on our early tries. Now you are going to start it all over again.

I hope luck still stays at you. Given that failure can do some amazing things, I just hope that people now aren't going to care less on what they will do because they might want to fail intentionally. No that won't work that way but it can only make the situation worse. Those failures that we are talking about here must be a genuine one only.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 10, 2023, 08:08:36 PM
Isn't this just the stupidest reason not to give her her winnings?
Couldn't they have known that their so-called machine was faulty before letting gamblers use it?
How could they do this to her?
The mechince being faulty is non of the woman's problem, since the machine already displayed that she won and she is having evidence, then they should pay her the money, next time they should always make sure they carry out maintenance on their machine frequently. The woman shouldn't accept the dinner, she shouldn't take it easy with them, she should make sure she collect her money.

The casino is just very stupid, how will someone win that kind of money and the only thing you can use to compensate the person is steak dinner, I think they should just plead with the woman and maybe give her half of her win or reasonable amount of money if she will accept their offer, but the only thing the can offer is just steak dinner.
The problem is with her actually because she didn't observe her surroundings first if there is a sign or what but he just play the game directly. I think this can be the same to those who gamble online blindly where they will experience a problem later on.

I know for some, they will blame the owner of the slot machine because why the heck they do this instead of replacing the whole thing? But, maybe that wasn't really their priority. Maybe they have other business (can be a restaurant) since it is said that the woman is offered by a dinner. The only put a slot machine there for their customers to have something to pass the time while waiting for their orders. If we are serious of making cash then we should go on a real casino, since they have more benefits there and we are sure that the machines are working fine or they are legit/fair.
788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 10, 2023, 05:54:04 PM
it will also increase the confidence of novice investors because they can see how their bitcoin investment can start to pay off. And if they can keep buying and holding it until the price goes up very high, their profits will be huge, especially if they can collect lots of bitcoins from now on. But we must remain vigilant because the price of bitcoin can experience a correction that is either deep or not too deep and if that happens, we will get another discount to buy bitcoin.
We know that this market is mostly composed of veterans but we can't deny that those novice are also a great addition to lift the price. It's nice if many novice have entered recently (this year) because the recent increase that happened can help them feel good. They won't think that Bitcoin is a scam like what other novice do in the past only because they entered at the wrong time.

It's fine if these novice can short sell some of their BTC. Once they got used to it, that will be the time they will try to HODL longer to earn better profits. Other benefits of short selling is that they will be encouraged to buy when the price starts dipping again.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 09, 2023, 07:48:03 PM
Pakistan bowled the first two overs with immense accuracy but then when Finn Allen started counter attacking they started spraying the ball and luckily for Pakistan Agha Salman took a splendid catch to dismiss Finn Allen if not he would have taken the match away within the first 10 overs. New Zealand still have a good batting line up and i am expecting a good match.
Pakistan is surely superior in white ball format and having good record against New Zealand as well which helps them for having good result in this match as well while the toss won by Pakistan and decided to bowl first was good decision by Pakistan team because this helps them for having good wining target from New Zealand which is playing an ODI series after very long time in Pakistan.

New Zealand start was not good as lost first wicket of the Conway and then having few quick wickets as well even few good shots were played by lower middle order batsmen for the home team, but Pakistan batting was also good after having impressive bowling by their top bowlers. Pakistan bringing few youngsters as well which are increasing their white ball pool for the world cup even right now situation is surely not clear about many things.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 09, 2023, 05:51:23 PM
Barcelona managed to get an important victory to get away from Real Madrid, one goal scored by Dembele lasted until the end of the game. Atletico tried hard to find a goal in this match, the struggle of Atletico players was in vain due to not being able to penetrate Barcelona defense which was getting stronger. The duet of Christensen and Araujo at the heart of Barcelona defense was very good, they were able to withstand all attacks from Atletico players.
This victory has further increased the confidence of the Barcelona players after last week they were only able to draw with Espanyol, now Xavi must take advantage of every opportunity so as not to lose points in the continuation of La Liga.
Without any doubt a big win for the Barcelona in Madrid because now this win give them lead of three points, and surely they could be proud of their achievement for this win and lead in La Liga league table because things are not easy for them in this season Real Madrid is surely having quality and ability to fight back for the leadership in this season Dembélé done good job in absence of Robert Lewandowski which was not available for this match due to RED CARD in last match.

In this match defence done good job and not allowed Atlético Madrid attack to have any good chance for coming at level with this defeat now things are going difficult for the Atlético Madrid to stay at the top four because they need improvement and change of strategy for having better results.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: January 09, 2023, 05:28:35 PM
Barcelona's defense looks better and in these matches it will be important how well MU attack will play. Barcelona will most likely be able to score, by mid-February Lewandowski should be back in the game, this is very important for them. The MU defense is not that strong, they will focus on the attack. In fact, the match is very difficult, perhaps even worthy of the semi-finals.
I think United offense could be a little weak right now, but their defense is quite good, whereas Barcelona has a great offense but a weaker defense, even though it has been better, still not great. This tells me, maybe these games will be filled with plenty of goals? Like a 4-2 type of score doesn't sound unlikely to me, it sounds quite like how it will probably happen.

I am still believing Barcelona to beat United in these games, but even if they don't, I am expecting a lot of goals. United got a lot better compared to start of the season, and Barcelona has been pretty good all year but somehow played badly at UCL and that's why they are here.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 09, 2023, 03:46:35 PM
You're talking about huge winnings, what about small to moderate winnings like $100-$1,000? it's not worth to hire a lawyer since the cost and procedure are higher than the winnings! Of course it will be words vs words war, then what you will answer with this case?

If anything can be faked, the casino can also fake their history and delete the whole evidence especially the unlicensed casino.

This is why it's better to gamble on licensed casino that ask KYC since they're more serious and professional, also they've leave their own personal information to the license site.
But if you truly want justice over the money then why not? You will do anything only to see that casino being shut down and the people behind it behind bars. You can ask for help from reputable people or from higher authorities about this matter.

There might be people or organizations which are specifically built for that reason. Same thing what we have outside or when there are poor people who are involved in something which they aren't really guilty of. These people are also being lend out a help. If will let them with their bad doings, then they will just continue it and many other innocent people are also going to be affected later on.
793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Michael Saylor and Bitcoin or Michael Saylor and altcoin? on: January 08, 2023, 09:22:23 PM
It comes to that point that when the market is quite passive, there could be these calculations and interesting articles of what IFs from these rich and influential folks in the space.
I guess it's just a matter of preference just like any other person that invests a lot in bitcoin and even saw people telling them that they could earn more with an altcoin or with a meme coin, doesn't breaks the idea that being patient and stable with bitcoin is the best long term plan. While after the merge or the transition of pow to pos for ETH, it's more of a rich's game now but I don't think he's willing to join them with it. He's got a more solid long term plan through bitcoin.
It seems that they are bored so while waiting for the market to become active again, these people can think of these things for a while so that they still have something to talked about and won't be zero in terms of content.

It's normal that when the market dips, Bitcoin is also starring or the first one to dive and it's also the coin who can dumped a lot but if the market pumps, BTC is again the coin that can lead the way and they will see that altcoin like ETH are going to be left behind in terms of gains. We know that Michael Saylor is an avid fan of Bitcoin so even if ETH is upgraded now, it won't remove the fact that he is still loyal to his first and main coin which is Bitcoin.
If I know Michael Saylor, he would have bought the worst kind of defi or nft out there and he would have lost money. If we are talking about percentages of making profit, then we could say there are some alts who have made more profits than bitcoin in the last 5 years, and there are many many many of them that did worse. Which one he would pick? That's the question, would he be able to pick the ones that would have made him more money? Or would he pick the ones that would made him less? I believe, %100 guaranteed, he would have picked some horrible ones.

The reason for this is the fact that he is too stubborn to realize he is on the wrong path and would have lost a lot more.
794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Price Drop - How are Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Responding? on: January 08, 2023, 08:44:03 PM
Once you have observed prior timelines on BTC, there is nothing to be afraid of. I'm pretty sure real long term holders don't even check prices of BTC, that's how much faith they have in it.
Yeah, I don't even think long term investors check the price so frequently because when you are investing in for the long term you are more focused about the development and further acceptance/news about Bitcoins rather than the price which is heavily manipulated and never a good indicator of the value.

I think everyone of us have some BTC saved and some we use for stuff like trading and spending in daily life. The BTC we have saved is what we are never afraid about or at least I am not concerned about it but the BTC I have in trust wallet for stuff like trading, gambling, spending, etc I always get nervous when the price is fluctuating.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: January 08, 2023, 08:26:22 PM
Will decentralised exchanges get more attention now that FTX secrets is all out? Will people now trust decentralised exchanges more than centralised exchanges? Cos the only thing still standing tall right now is Binance, I believe this is the only CEX people still give full face 😂  but it seems like Uniswap and Pancake will take the lead in near future?
Understanding that people do not really "need" it but prefer it is the number one step. Too many people act as if we need it and its a must and the world will go from CEX to DEX when a good one comes out and so forth.

Reality is that, there are some people who prefer DEX and some prefer CEX and it will stay that way forever. Doesn't mean its not good, doesn't even mean its not better, it just means even the shitties CEX's will find some customers with right marketing and that's it. Its definitely a good thing though, because it allows people to use whatever they want and not be forced into one or the other. That optional thing gives importance to our preferences.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Cassino Continue With Wagering Requirements, If Abuse is Eliminated? on: January 08, 2023, 03:26:44 PM
1. This mean the casino want to increase the wagering requirement difficulty since you need to able meet the requirement on both deposit and bonuses.

2. Security check doesn't only used to fight against abusers and multiple accounts, but it's used to fight against people who want to get free money from the casino! Can you think if the casino remove the wagering requirement and they have 200% deposit bonus? the casino will rekt soon since the users can double their money without need to gamble! deposit $200 withdraw $400, deposit $400 withdraw $800 lol.
For number one, the OP is asking about our opinion and not if what suggestions we can give to the casino and the point of all of it is to cut the wagering requirement and not to increase it more. I think that will be crazy if the casino will increase its difficulty when the current wagering requirement is already hard.

On your number two, free money was actually the root cause on why there are abuse and multi accounts but other than the free money or the bonus, the wagering requirement do also helps to possibly prevent money laundering. They are now rampant so I think there is no way that wagering requirements will be removed.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 07, 2023, 09:34:10 PM
Juventus moved to second spot with a win over udinese, four points behind first placed Napoli who play tomorrow and a point above third placed AC Milan who still have a game tomorrow, the league is getting tougher and more interesting because there are 5 teams who are title contenders this season and whoever wins the league will do so out of hardwork and team spirit, The teams in the top four are separated by only 5points. And the pressure is pilling on the leaders Napoli.
Yeah, after the break things are getting more entertaining as Napoli lost their first match and Juventus having second win after break and eight winning streaks with no goal conceded by them which is surely impressive because with this win now they are at the second spot and Napoli is surely feeling pressure because they need to win their next few games otherwise they can drop as well as they have habit of losing matches and points near the end of season hopefully now in this season we will be having better results from them in Italian League and Champions League as well.

Tomorrow we have two games which are surely going to have impact on league table, first Sampdoria will host leaders Napoli and in second match AC Milan will host AS Roma which is also looking for better results in this half of the season for having improved rank.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: January 07, 2023, 09:11:03 PM
While there is no doubt that plans should always be up to a revision in the case the events forced you to the point it was needed to do this as circumstances changed in an extreme way, at the same time a plan needs to include several scenarios, even the worst we think it may happen, this way if it came it happen then we are not going to be taken by surprise and we will be able to react quickly to the negative events currently taking place.
This is exactly why I have majority of my portfolio in big name coins like bitcoin and ethereum, and only a small portion of it in smaller scale coins like OP had. This results with me being a bit safe and low risk while keeping the profits to a realistic level, while also giving me a chance to make a great profit from some small thing if it happens.

If all of my small cap stuff goes to zero tomorrow, a simple 10% increase in bitcoin covers them all, but if one of the small cap stuff goes 100x, that could be as much as my bitcoin as well. That type of balance allows you to make a good amount of profit, and gives you a good chance to continue investing without a worry.
799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin survived the Christmas market pressure on: January 07, 2023, 09:06:23 PM
Quote
But bitcoin is certain to be above 30k before the next halving cycle which is around 2024 so hopefully, we will see some major shift.
we are all having this hope but the question is are we truly going to break that 30k?
if not happened this year then maybe it will be harder in 2024.
I do think that it will break over 30k this year for sure, I mean it's such a close price, it's not even 100% and we all know in the crypto world we face 100% increases all the time when bull run happens, in fact it happens a few times back to back. Like it could go from 16k to 30k and to 60k to 120k, which are all x2 increases eventually.

I believe that 30k will happen but in order for that to happen, we need to make sure that we are in the right head space because it won't be that simple if we do not end up with a good increase in price. Basically, all I am saying is that we need to have the starts of a bull run before we could end up being above 30k.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: January 07, 2023, 08:26:03 PM
I'm also not going to participate in this Bonk meme, but what makes you think that SBF is behind this project? He is currently busy with the troubles he is facing, and with the money he stole from the crash of FTX. I think he has more than enough money to live the rest of his life with no worries, he won't need to create meme projects with less than $1 million in trading volume per day. No need further blame him, I believe he will soon pay for what he did.
I think investing into a memecoin based on something that has connections with criminals is naturally not a good idea at all. Having such a big increase right away at the start, and then having this increase crashing hard after a while, and all the other things surrounding it, this comes out to not being great idea at all. I wouldn't invest into it and I understand people who would, and that's their decision if they want to.

Do you really think BONK could get high and stay there, really? Like something that is called BONK would go up and stay there and make you a profit? If you got it at the very start and sold it after 3000% increase that was very lucky of you and great for you, but now it's gone and won't do that again, will just crash.
