I am not sure if this has been asked before but i see threads regarding bitcoins being used on illegal activities but i want a direct answer Cheesy are they or they're not... cause the faith of crypto currency dpends on this...
Provably. They need to make remitances or transfer of money and bitcoin is a good option for them to use since it is fast and can easily sent else where in the world. The fact that it doesn't need any identification to transfer bitcoin and to anonimize the transaction, they will surely use it.

1743  Economy / Lending / Re: Urgent loan 0.015 on: July 06, 2016, 10:06:17 AM

If i loan with my acct? Can i access them if it is the collateral?
Once your account is held as collateral, the lender orthe escrow who is holding it are the only one who has access in it. You can't access them.
That is why it is called a collateral. To secure the loan.
1744  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Seeking some advice. How does one start to become an escrower. on: July 06, 2016, 09:39:54 AM

What kind of trades do people usually want here?  BTC to Neteller/Paypal?  Altcoin trades?

Any trades will do as long as you say away with a payment which has a dispute like Paypal. No one would trust you in that but some would do.
Nost people start by just helping out people.

Quote

How small is 'small' in escrows exactly?  And how much in fees do escrows usually get per trade?
By small I mean a value which you think will not exceed the value of your account. 0.1 btc 0.4 btc somethin like that or lower. Maybe help out someone who is looking for free escrow like what other escrow providers are doing.

Hi guys.

I want start another adventure here at Bitcointalk.  If you don't know, the first one was asking how to get in a good signature campaign as I posted here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1498626.0

It wasn't easy at first, and I had to prove to the managers that I am worthy enough to get in.  And thankfully, I got in very good signature campaign.  Ros of Betcoin is really great.  Props to him.

Now I am seeking advice on how I can become an escrower.  Where do I start and how do I gain the people's trust?

I'm also hoping this thread will be helpful not just to me, but for the other readers as well.  Thanks.
Start by building your reputation in here. Gather trust form trades.
Start small and get big. Prove that you have all good intention here in the forum and once you proved yourself, it should be easy to say that you are reputable enough.
You can start escrowing small amounts for now.
1748  Other / Off-topic / Re: Trolling levels on: July 06, 2016, 06:13:38 AM
Trolling has changed dramatically over the past few years. What is the highest level troll you have witnessed on Bitointalk in 2016?
Don't feed the trolls and they should stop trolling. The reason why they keep on comming with more of their shits is because people here encouraged them to.  Ignore and see them vanish.
1749  Economy / Services / Re: Free internet ph only!!! on: July 06, 2016, 06:11:51 AM
Because most people from the Philippines are in here not in the Philippines section.
I think that's the point. OP targets more audience.
But the topic being related to Bitcoin, I think it's not.

Lol. The only reason OP posted this outside our local is becase his post will not be counted on YOBIT if he posted it in there. I' sure you quite aware about it yourself.
It should be in off topic or in local. Yet this hasn't been moved yet.

1751  Other / Politics & Society / Pacquiao pushes for death penalty by hanging on: July 06, 2016, 05:55:27 AM
MANILA -- Former world champion and now Senator Manny Pacquiao favors the revival of the death penalty.
Just like President Rodrigo Duterte, he wants it to be carried out by hanging.
"For me the death penalty should be by hanging,” Pacquiao said in Boxing Scene.
The boxing superstar believes hanging is more “humane” compared to lethal injection. He said it favors both the criminal and the doctors forced to assist in carrying out the sentence.
“The law should also state that doctors are not allowed to kill people," he said.

The revival of the death penalty is part of the 10 bills Pacquiao filed on Tuesday. Three out of the proposed measures, seek to revive the death penalty for heinous crimes involving drugs, kidnapping and rape.
“Death penalty, to me, is a just retribution for a crime committed by a certain person. Gumawa ka ng kasalanan, kailangang pagbayaran mo. But the punishment must be commensurate to the crime committed,” Pacquiao said in a separate report by Philboxing.
The bills, labelled as "priority," seek to amend R.A. 9346, which prohibits the enforcement of death penalty in the Philippines.
The other bills he filed are the following:
• An act mandating the Philippine overseas employment administration (POEA) to publish, disseminate and update a handbook on the rights and responsibilities of migrant workers, amending for the purpose Republic Act No. 8042, otherwise known as the “migrant workers and overseas Filipinos act of 1995,” as amended;
• An act creating the Philippine Boxing Commission thereby strengthening the country’s standing in boxing sports, ensuring the welfare of Filipino boxers, and providing funds therefor;

• An act providing for the restoration of mandatory military training for all Grade 11 and Grade 12 students by reinstating Sections 38 and 39 of Republic Act No. 7077, otherwise known as the “Citizen Armed Force or Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act”;
• An act granting maternity leave benefits equivalent to 180 days or six months to all women workers in the government and private sectors;
• An act establishing the wireless internet access program in all state universities and colleges in the country and appropriating funds therefor;
• An act providing for the establishment of a community fitness center in every barangay nationwide and appropriating funds; and
• An act increasing the composition of barangay officials, amending for the purpose Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as “the Local Government Code of 1991”, as amended.

1752  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice PD3 vs PD4 Showdown! Poll - Which do you prefer? on: July 06, 2016, 12:21:25 AM
PD4 Design is more appealing for me. Anything else is good. There is the friend list, the autobet, the animation. I will have to say the new primedice is great.
Ofcourse the PD3 was also great but the new version is more refreshing and I have to say more entertaining to play at. Let's just wait for it to be fully functional.
1753  Other / Archival / Re: Need a Lender for 0.05 BTC with 20% interest repayable in 10 days on: July 06, 2016, 12:17:05 AM
I'm willing to put my account as a collateral, though I'm i a signature campaign right now.
I would be willing to fund .048 of this loan with your account as collateral with .0057 repay in 10 days. Any interest?
In case you don't want to lose money, retract/edit that offer. Else, I'm sure OP will pick up on it. Wink
Alright as Lutpin reccomends, offer changed! .043 to pay back .051 within 10 days with account as collateral! Confident I could sell account for at least .043
Actually You will have a hardtime selling his account at that price in case he defaults. His stats are not good. Post quality is not that good and no one will buy an account even if it is a sr. member if they can't use it to benefit in a sig campaign.
1754  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Primedice.com] Bingo competition - Win up to 4 BTC each! on: July 06, 2016, 12:14:05 AM
Thanks for your hardwork hui and zoltan.

How will it take for us to receive the prizes?I hope this doesn't take too long like the other giveaways.
Nah i think the payment around 3-4 days like previous bingo.
Previous bingo was creditted batch by batch. In the beggining they sad it is much easier to credit all at once at the end of the competition so I am hoping it will not take that long.

1759  Local / Pamilihan / NBI: Unauthorized 'sharing' of copyrighted materials is illegal on: July 05, 2016, 11:10:54 PM
MANILA -- Following director Antoinette Jadaone's anger over pirated copies of her movie "The Achy Breaky Hearts" circulating on social media, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday warned that such acts are illegal and punishable by law.

Ronald Aguto, the head of the Cybercimes Division of the NBI, said that unauthorized sharing copyrighted materials on social media is considered part of illegal distribution.
"That's exactly part of distribution. Once you share something that is illegal, you become part of the persons whom we can investigate and charge later on," he said in an phone interview with ANC.

Aguto noted that "sharing" such materials can be punishable by the Intellectual Property Code (RA 9283) and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA 10175).
"The law says unauthorized reproduction and distribution is the one penalized so the mere fact that they uploaded this and distributed this without authorization from the copyright holder is a violation," he added.
He also emphasized that "big penalties" await the perpetrators of the offense.
"There are big penalties in this kind of offense like if they upload it using the ICT (information and communications technology), then they can be punishable one degree higher than what is indicated in the Intellectual Property Rights Code," he said.
According to Aguto, he is currently mobilizing a team to investigate the spread of piracy on social media. He is also urging the public to report piracy by emailing the Cybercrimes Division via ccd@nbi.gov.ph.
Star Cinema, the copyright owner of "The Achy Breaky Hearts," has also launched an email address where netizens can send reports.

On Monday, Jadaone lambasted netizens who uploaded and shared the movie on Facebook, less than a week after it opened in theaters.

Anong masasabi nyo dito? Sa dami na ng movies na naipopost sa facebook ngayon lamang umangal ang NBI. Cheesy
I stand guilty dahil napanood ko yung video but hindi ko naman nishare kasi bago pa man deleted na yung content. Kayo ba?
