serialmodus is disabled

Quote
For BFL, Icarus and Mod Miner Quad:
Copy serial script to       /opt/etc/init.d              (S45serialmodules)
Copy ftdi_sio.ko to         /opt/lib/modules/2.6.24.111  Rename existing file

Enable the USB serial drivers, type:
> service serialmodules on
> service serialmodules start
> service unicornblood on
> service unicornblood start

The devices should now be recognised as a serial device. To check, type:
> ls -l /dev/usb/tts

This will list all the USB serial ports detected.

For Ztex and Mod Miner Quad:
Create the bitstreams dir and copy bitstream files to    /opt/bin/bitstreams

However, the shareholders of ASICMINER are always in a better place

Props for the decency to present it as an equity deal from day one, rather than calling stock subscription "preorders" like everyone else.
I thought this was because the shareholders are actual shareholders in Avalon?  With BFL, the preorders are just that - preorders.

typo? actual shareholders in ASICMINER (because this is the ASICMINER thread)
366  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGminer v2.10.0 on Broadcom based DD-WRT / OpenWRT on: January 10, 2013, 05:33:58 AM
will this work with BFL Jalapenos?   (with new version of cgminer compiled for wrt?)
367  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 18, 2012, 04:30:22 AM
probably a nightmare to make, but would it be possible to give all shareholders the option to mine with their part of hashing power at their favorite pool? with some website/accounts ...  , i dont think this is going to happen but it could be a solution for the people that fear this 51% attack,  (and i dont think they should worry too much)

DiabloD3, as much as I dislike BFL, luke-jr actually postponed their shipping date from dec 2012 to jan 2013. He quoted ngazhang with Avalons shipping date. And I agree with him that as long as ASICMiner is not offering any consumer-products, it doesn't go on to that page.

I suggest you wear your mod-hat with ice inside it, as you must remain objective when moderating. Calling luke-jr a BFL shill in a pinned topic is a bit harsh, and just shows poor judgement as everyone know how much you loathe BFL.

Look at the entire changelog. He removed ASICMINER completely from the wiki.

As I already said,  I agree with luke-jr that as long as ASICMiner is not offering any consumer-products, it doesn't belong on that page.

okay, so, can you tell me, what company is actually offering ASICS right now? (pre-orders with multiple delays dont count)

so just remove the complete ASIC section of the hardware comparison wiki... it doesnt really exist

371  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner chips out of fab next week on: December 14, 2012, 02:18:02 PM
two + Avalon = three , no?
372  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGminer v2.10.0 on Broadcom based DD-WRT / OpenWRT on: December 14, 2012, 12:19:30 PM
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but has anyone tried to compile the stratum proxy for dd-wrt?

As ckolivas said, there's no compilation involved. Please follow instructions from https://github.com/slush0/stratum-mining-proxy , it should work even on dd-wrt (it requires only python 2.6/2.7).

Sorry for OT.
373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter: Dedicated Mining ASIC Project (Open for Discussion) on: December 14, 2012, 12:04:14 PM
so now everybody hates ASICMINER?  where did this come from...  just because some think they are building centralized farm? IIRC they want to sell the hardware later..

could it be a stratum issue?
375  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overc monit fanspd RPC stratum linux/windws/osx/mip/r-pi 2.10.0 on: December 12, 2012, 08:13:48 PM
I'm also having a similar issue where CGMiner freezes after a certain amount of time.  Sometimes it can go fine for a few days but lately its been crashing more frequently.

I tried a new .conf file, reverting to stock clocks, different video cards, etc.  And this has been happening on all of my rigs, not just one.

I just had this happen to me on cgminer 2.9.7-1 with 4 BFL singles on it running windows 7 64-bit. It was going strong for 2 days before it crashed.

i had it happen before, but i thought it was because i overclocked my GPU too much, so i put the overclock to  a little less and didnt have issues anymore, until just 10 minutes ago, i thought maybe my GPU is too hot or whatever, until i read your post, where you say you only have BFL's and no GPU's... so i don't think it is because i overclocked it too much (it is also on lower settings now) ..,  the few times it happened  I was sitting behind it and doing stuff, so maybe it doesnt like that, gets conflicted or whatever.... but who knows... ,, 2.10.0 here

Smiley bedankt in ieder geval!

Tongue
