421  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: "Avalon" ASIC, announcement & pre-order. second wave @ 9:00am EDT, 10/03 on: October 04, 2012, 09:34:12 AM
In the first batch, I bought one more than I wanted, for the purpose of reselling later when all 300 were sold. Now that it's unlikely anyone can buy more Avalons for $1300, is anyone interested in buying my extra one for more? I'll probably setup an auction thread, if there is enough interest, and assuming ngzhang/Yifu can change the ship address on my order to the auction winner's. So, who missed the boat and is willing to pay a premium to get a first-batch Avalon?

Cancel and refund this guy...

first i thought, wtf?! is this legal?, and what psilan said, but I guess this is how the free market works, with (limited:300) supply/(unlimited)demand ... I don't think I would have done the same thing if I could, too much hassle to change the pre-order address and it doesn't seem fair imo

klopt het in principe dat het zo is:

(preorders_hashps_totaal + netwerk_hashps_totaal)/(netwerk_hashps_totaal)  = difficulty multiplier ?

Due to AML restrictions, large wire transfers are a bit delayed at the moment, you'll receive an email with instructions following your orders confirmation regarding the payment.

As always, bitcoin are highly preferred.

takes a little bit longer than expected i guess..

If he's actually a Lightning Ridge local, you're not going to get anywhere.  It's the kind of place where locals close ranks against outsiders and someone going there to "have a talk" with him is likely to be leaving very quickly.

Or they end up in the bottom of the mine.

I grew up in NSW and there are some pretty fucked up people in some of the county towns up there. The movie Wolf Creek isnt that far off the mark.

or like Scarce (2008) ?  Wink

yeah, why waste time on making your own mining software client, the available ones are good (probably better) enough...
