In Norway, the rules are:

Goods with value < NOK 200: No VAT
Goods with value > NOK 200: 25% VAT calculated from (value of goods + freight). You also have to pay a fee to the company collecting the VAT.

Gift with value < NOK 1000: No VAT
Gift with value > NOK 1000: 25% VAT calculated from (value of gift + freight). You also have to pay a fee to the company collecting the VAT.

1 USD = 5.92 NOK

When someone sends you a bitcoin, it is only accessible from the device you initially receive it on. You cannot easily access the funds from your mobile device (or from any other device for that matter)
Not quite 100% true.

Why did you crop the author from the quote?

I believe it's a mis-quote from our FAQ here.

Q: What does this site do?

A: When you send a bitcoin, it will only be accessible on the computer it is sent to, and nowhere else.  flexcoin acts as a centralized location to store all of your bitcoins, so that you can send them anywhere from any web connected device.  It eliminates the need to be connected to the PC you originally received the bitcoin on.

This FAQ was written by the previous owners, and as was mentioned, requires a re-write.
It's quoted from your front page.
1087  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin value will most probably fail in the near future. My question is WHY? on: August 10, 2012, 02:56:53 PM
But i'm really afraid i would lose my investment.
That's the problem for all of us. I can't invest more in bitcoins than I can afford to lose.

But if you will be happy with your investment in bitcoins if it has the same value in 5 years time, I suggest you invest  Euro 1000 in bitcoins now and save the rest. I believe bitcoin will either be worthless or trading at $1000+ in 5 years.

I downloaded the software, installed, created an account, logged in and got this error message when I clicked around in the lobby.

Running Win7 64bit.

Edit: I don't get the error message if I change region settings in Windows to "English (USA)".

Maybe I'm being dense, but, I don't see a Tools menu.  At the top there is only a button that says "Wallet Generator" and a button that says "Help."  The Wallet Generator button brings up another window that says "Paper Wallet Generator", but it only prints a plain-text list of keys, not the pretty bank note.  Did you revert your ZIP file to an older version?  The one I downloaded from the above URL didn't include the source either...
I can confirm that the zip file has changed to an older version.

Not real.
1093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: August 09, 2012, 04:46:28 PM
Back to normal...

1094  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: August 09, 2012, 02:09:04 PM
Either way, it deserves a print screen Smiley

Edit: Looks like trading is halted again...

1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think will happen in the next 4 Months??!?? on: August 08, 2012, 09:23:46 PM
I don't understand why I read everwhere that the userbase grows. Where do you get it from?

If I look at http://bitcoinstatus.rowit.co.uk/ it looks like the user base is still declining. Or do I read this wrong?

I'm pretty sure that is the number of full nodes running, as the blockchain grows more and more people are using online wallets or something else

Online wallets (it's only really blockchain.info) cannot alone compensate for the decline, and nobody was able to tell me if electrum clients would show up or not or what their numbers are. There isn't 'something else' than that. Plus the decline started to manifest before those 2 came up.

Why is it so hard to accept that bitcoin is loosing excess userbase?
Bitaddress.org was announced in September 2011 Smiley

1098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How world wide is bitcoin on: August 08, 2012, 09:38:52 AM
WOW someone sent 15 bitcoins extremely close to me, and I thought no one knew about bitcoins near me LOL TIL
I believe the map shows the relaying nodes that send the transactions to the blockchain servers, not the originating client.  So if you run the satoshi client, maybe it was you relaying the transaction that showed up Smiley

I don't think the block reward halving will make that big difference as many believes because the monetary inflation in percent has been decreasing all the time and is already down to 7% per quarter. The supply at the exchanges is much bigger than the daily mined coins so I believe the increasing demand for bitcoins is much more important than the reward halving.

Maybe this could be something for Coinbase's merchant tools?
