1101  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: August 07, 2012, 10:02:24 PM
After reading the 2 million unspent bitcoin thread I started thinking of two charts that could be interesting...

1. Daily bitcoin days destroyd in percent of daily new bitcoin days. Yesterday it was 3497490 bitcoin days destroid and 9631650 (roughly estimate) new bitcoin days. That's 3497490 / 9631650 = 36,31%.

2. Total bitcoin days destroyd to date in percent of total bitcoin days to date.

Thoughts?

1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just made my first Bitcoin ATM withdrawal... 3BTC from my printer. on: August 07, 2012, 09:07:55 PM
BTC banknotes should be available down to 1 bitcent at the moment it means you can divide a dollar down to 10 cents
Likewise when you're printing them yourself - you can have one for 23 bitcents if you want.
yeah, if i want to pay my beer in a pub with bitcoins then i have to take a 1BTC banknote with me and will get back a 50 bitcent and a 20 bitcent banknote. the rest is tip...
If you go to your regular pub, you would take many 30 bitcent banknotes with you Smiley
1103  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: Even numbers on: August 07, 2012, 08:53:53 PM
I don't think it will go down under 10. Bitcon is ready to rise up and spreads

ya, scary thought right?

Kupsi compare cumulative and non-cumulative versions, and then please stop posting here.
I can stop posting, but you are wrong Smiley
1109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alright, we roughly doubled before the block reward adjustment. on: August 05, 2012, 07:33:39 PM
Do it with more coins.
That doesn't help in the long run. I think you should read up on this  Cheesy

It does matter now.
Bitcoin days destroyd has been increasing for 2.5 years. You can't manipulate that!

Send coins to a new wallet. Again please read up on that issue.
That don't increase bitcoin days destroyd. You can send 1 BTC 1,000,000 times a day and it's still 1 bitcoin day destroyd.
1112  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alright, we roughly doubled before the block reward adjustment. on: August 05, 2012, 07:12:57 PM
First transactions involve two parties.

So?

Second those charts are so easy to manipulate it is best not to consider them as representative to judge economical development.

How do you manipulate bitcoin days destroyd?
1113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alright, we roughly doubled before the block reward adjustment. on: August 05, 2012, 06:58:58 PM
@Kupsi, you ever played satoshidice?
I'm not going to get in an argument about blockchain statistics with you, if you believe they have representative information do that, but don't bother somebody else with it.
I suggest you read up on them, there is plenty of information in the wiki and the forum.
Nope, because I don't like to gamble if I don't have an edge.

But the first chart, Number of transactions excluding popular addresses, exclude the SatoshiDice transactions.
