Sorry to hear about the wallet hack. btw not sure if kano can (without manual intervention) redirect payments to another btc address other than what it was set to at the time the block was found. But if you have updated the payout address all future block payments will go to the new address.

Don't worry about the website I'm sure kano has alarm bells ringing for certain issues, and the main thing is that we are still mining.
EDIT: and if your not mining then you should have at least one of the other kano servers as your backup (as well as other contingencies)

Is there any current pool issues? looks like my workers have been offline since 1st June around 00:00. I'll have to give them a cold reboot when I get to site in the morning if there's no issues and its just me.

I think nhando was giving a for instance and wasn't meaning that he comes and goes and throws 5PH here (I might be wrong though). I'm sure I saw a post where he says he occasionally does some rentals and the 5TH was for another user in kind

the suspects must at least be readers of the thread since they are trying to hide who they are. just give up hiding and leave, kano will find you.
i say out the thieves and give them the ban hammer.
Cant ban them, they use a proxy and mining with a btc address both can be changed, it sucks and I don't know why the would hang out and waist electricity. Their IP(s) could be banned, however Kano has done the best thing and is withholding payment (pending blocks) which means little/no downside for the pool. They either start finding blocks and get paid, or now waste their time and electric by worthless mining. Either of which is ok with me, although I would prefer them to find blocks. As for why they do it is because, they (did) get rewarded for providing work (that is like all of us mining here), however withholding found blocks doesn't hurt them as they got paid for their work regardless (albeit with less block rewards) and only served to hurt the pool overall. Again kano has done the sensible and best approach for the pool, with a bit of extra work for him regarding payments. If they change their ways and bring in the blocks then great, if not then kano can let them waste their hash or perm ban them.

AVALON6 GIVEAWAY is very close!
The contest has started but we wont know who wins which prize until the first block is mined on the network in April (UTC time). However this block could be in the running for the prize that's assigned the highest CDF (assuming a valid contest miners gets this block).

well for those eligible the race is on....
This one could be classed as a marathon. Will be interesting to see how the race progresses over the month.

Ignore this, blockchain ALWAYS say this and means absolutely nothing. Once the payment is confirmed in a block this goes away. EDIT: By always I mean to those payments that are over the 250 limit they decided to make up.

There's still a lot of unconfirmed transactions on the network so hopefully yours will be included in a block soon. You'll just have to be patient and hope empty blocks are not being mined (unlikely though from certain other pools).

It looks like bitcoin confirmations are taking a very long time at present.
approx. 24000 unconfirmed transactions on the network

I've been mining at nicehash for a while now, 100% bitcoin mining with asics. I'm wondering if I should look at other pools now. Antpool looks good, f2pool looks ok, what other pools can be recommended?
The ones you're considering aren't the most profitable. check this resource for pool profitability: http://organofcorti.blogspot.com.au/search/label/weeklypoolstatisticsNot to mention about certain pools mining empty blocks creating backlog of transactions on the network. If your serious about choosing a pool I would suggest a little research into which ones are good for both miners and the network. Give support to a smaller ethical pool

Anyone have issues connecting NiceHash rental to Kano pool today? Tried stratum 80, 81, and 3333 still no luck
I've not validated any actual hashing but using NH pool verification shows its all ok (tested using stratum80.kano.is)

I agree with you d57heinz about the key points of antpool being bad for many reaons and miners should support smaller pools like kano or bitminter or jonnys pool etc... . one thing to note though is that the restarts kano has been doing recently (with plenty of advanced notice) haven't affected mining and has only affected the website stats (for that short period of the restart) Other things mostly outside of kano's control have been the causes of the occasional miner disconnects. I also believe he still has room to grow.
But yes, people reading these posts please do seriously consider choosing a smaller pool that serves the interest of its miners and the Bitcoin network.
