I really love the looks and functionality of this site. Too bad that it's having issues with order book and volume so I have to manually refresh for current data Undecided
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Occupy Round Table on Bitcoin on: December 09, 2011, 04:26:00 PM
Yeah, that's why I dropped out of the various movements going on. They talk about blue sky ideas, but have few practical solutions that even they can agree upon. Besides, most of them just don't have a clue. Bitcoin is a fundamental new technology based upon a primary concept in communications. It's like the discovery of how fractal geometry redefines natural sciences. Sure, cryptography has been around for ages to secure the value of ideas, but Bitcoin is the purest extract of the concept and will be like warp drive for global finance.

Although I do support occupy movement simply for the fact that some of them are smart enough to at least know something is going wrong in the global financial market, I completely agree about the fact that many have absolutely no clue about how to go about making things better.

All I can hope is that the awareness brings more knowledge over time and they will find many paths to improving on the current situation. It isn't going to happen over few months, or even few years imo.

Same for me, I did a instant payout of more than 3 BTC, just do not appear in my wallet although the later ones are ok.  That transaction is missing.

so you actually received payments from the ones that didn't go through right away? The two payments of mines still never arrived.
64  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling a 2x mining rig 3x 5850 Seasonic 850w 80Silver in Los Angeles area on: December 09, 2011, 01:32:25 AM
Ok I've found out some more info about the new place and turns out the old screw in fuses were 30amps each and not 15amps each like I thought they were.

I guess I might actually have enough to run them for a while longer. I may sell just one rig if a local buyer turns up reading this, but otherwise consider this thread closed.

Thanks.

Free dongle for buyers only!  Wink

And I can provide the necessary invoice to the buyer if needed for warranty. I purchased them through Amazon and can print the invoice as needed so no worries there.

ok. it happened to me as well. The payment id and amount does show in the payout section, but didn't receive the payments.

The error message is slightly different than previous earlier errors saying the payout address is valid at the end which I suspect is why the payout is being deducted unlike the previous errors.

I'm looking to sell a couple of mining rigs I run because I'm going to be moving soon to a smaller place with not enough available outlets.

If you don't need HD we can't exclude that depending on your need.

I liked bitcoin being called bitcoin. It is what it is. Some get it and some don't.

Eventually more will get it.

Bitcoin could have huge political and economical implications as a result of it's widespread usage, but like any tool, it's simply just a tool.

Trying to coin some political phrase to gain additional interest right now imo will do more harm than good imo.
69  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Occupiers Plan Economic Shutdown: http://westcoastportshutdown.com/ on: December 06, 2011, 11:40:33 PM
Well if only the people in the U.S actually stood up for having the police and the Gov't using their monopoly on force to tresspass on the people's freedom of press and assembly...

That didn't happen outside of the Occupy movement at all right? At least some people think their freedom is worth fighting for.

Let's not even talk about National Defense Authorization Act passing the senate by greater than 90%.. I mean who cares about freedom and liberty.. Let's just let them make w.e laws to traps us into docile and afraid little beings that work 50 hours a week and get spoonfed what the mass media gives us.

71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your Bitcoin balance worth in derivatives? on: November 29, 2011, 10:43:33 PM
Good grief, this stuff again?  Sorry folks, it's not going to happen.  You'll be lucky to get anything for your bitcoins 5 years from now.

Looks like he's got some bids up this time.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new interface in Bitcoin 0.5.0 is BAD! on: November 29, 2011, 09:08:33 PM
Something I learned from GA at local occupy movement.

Unless you have a clear proposal that includes how you will make improvements on your complaints, your complaint will be ignored and not be presented to everyone for discussion.

So this thread is completely useless in that regard. Just complaining to complain hoping someone will care about your crying. Moving on.
73  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NMCBit pool 0% fee prop 6.6% PPS on: November 27, 2011, 08:20:46 PM
I'm sure there is a good explanation for losing about 6k submitted shares between before the website went down and now along with not getting the payment updated for the last block found. You must be working on this already Davinci?

I did get a picture of Max Keiser speaking tweeted by Stacey Herbert. Wish I was there. I'm sure there are lot of exciting things being talked about.

76  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox/TradeHill SierraChart bridge - Realtime Bitcoin charts [v0.4] on: November 24, 2011, 07:10:35 PM
Litt, I put it back to my signature.

P.S. I prefer wine :-).

I sent you a few coins out of my mining income to show my appreciation. I would like to ask others to do the same if you love using sierra chart and appreciate what Slush is doing for the bitcoin community for free.

I personally prefer wine myself, but buying another guy beer just sounds more masculine? haha Smiley Again thanks for doing this Slush.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox/TradeHill SierraChart bridge - Realtime Bitcoin charts [v0.4] on: November 23, 2011, 05:51:41 PM
Version 0.4 released, fixes non-working streaming from MtGox. It is now using socket interface to bitcoincharts instead of MtGox's socket.io.

Download: http://mining.bitcoin.cz/media/download/sierrachartfeed-0.4.exe

Pros - sierrachart now supports live streaming of all bitcoin charts, not just MtGox.
Cons - there's currently implemented only polling between bitcoincharts and mtgox and chart updates are delayed 5 seconds in average. But tcatm is working on socket.io support on his side, so it will gets better soon.

Enjoy! :-)

Thank you Slush for updating this. Can you add your bitcoin add to the front page so I can buy you a beer for your troubles?

I think it used to in your sig, but no longer there.

Am I never going to get  1.19862518btc I have in my balance because I don't mine there anymore? I've been waiting forever for the balance to be moved from pending...

If you pay newer shares first, then does that mean you are just going to keep my btc hostage forever?  Huh

wtfman?
