261  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian aggression against Ukraine. The world will no longer be the same. on: July 15, 2022, 06:52:08 PM

The Russians learned more of history though. The Crimean war that happened long time ago was because  someone took control of the sea. Who ever controls the sea controls all that surrounds it.
Ukraine was already lucky to have shared it with the rest but when they wanted to get enlisted with NATO, its a different path. NATO controling that sea will be the disaster of all countries surrounding there.

Blask Sea isn't strategic point anymore, I think since 1918, when Ottoman Empire dissapeared. Applying "Black sea" argument is means that you're from 19th century. While russia think trough 19th century paradigms, it's weird that a lot of people outside russia think in the same way. You're in the wrong time lapse man
262  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 15, 2022, 06:48:30 PM
Kosovo is Serbia?

Bad example. I think Kosovo case is more in favour to ukrainians and about that russian claims are shit.  Kosovo inhabited with albanians, and Serbia - with serbs. So it's obvious that Kosovo deservs freedom. The same as Ukraine.
263  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Deep dive intro culture of russia-Ukraine war on: July 15, 2022, 12:18:13 PM
I am one who thinks that this war has a lot to do with resources. Not as much capturing the Ukrainian resources (mineral, oil, gas, food, water,... ) but rather about not allowing those resources to actually being put to use by Europe in collaboration with Ukraine. But there is a lot more about the war:

As i said, can't agree with such point of view. russia has surplus of resources: oil, gas, gold, most of Rare earth metals, food, animals, wood and a lot of other valuable things. So i doubt it would need another bunch of resources in Ukraine.

And Russia (at least didn't) consider Europe as enemy, so again, I don't see any reason to start this war to not allow Europe to get some ukrainian resources. It's pure ideological crusade against "corrupted russians" (ukrainians).

Here interesting moment:

"Бaнкиp Пyгaчёв нe paз гoвopил в интepвью, чтo eщё 10 лeт нaзaд Пyтинa интepecoвaли тoлькo 2 тeмы – Укpaинa и Гaзпpoм. Bcё ocтaльнoe былo eмy нeинтepecнo."
https://t.me/tolk_tolk/12823

Translation: Banker Pugachev told in interview that 10 years ago Putin was interested into two things - Ukraine and Gasprom. Everything else were ignored.

Offtopic

@icopress told me that some bitcointalk users want to donate to Ukraine army trough me. For now, I'm mostly trying to help to Ukrainian Volunteer Army (УДA - Укpaїнcькa Дoбpoвoльчa Apмiя). Because unlike Armed Forces of Ukraine, it's is pure volunteer army, guys fighting without any salary or provision from the government.

I've alredy provided to them some consumables and one thermal image camera

If you want that their mortar squad would kill more russians, you can donate here. I will pin only BTC address at first, if you want to donate through other crypto, please PM me.

bc1q09ttrvhja4x0286nl9gzvs5z4ewvpeswamyvaq

P.S: We have already ordered one Mavic drone, but such things is just a consumables at war, so will be glad for any donations. Depends on their size and my own budget I will buy a drone, or thermal vision camera because guys has only this white Lahoux from me. One thermal camera for 32 soldiers  Sad

If you have a drone or thermal/night vision and do not need it, you can also donate it to UVA, I'll cover all shipment duties.

UPDATE

Thx to all who donated money to this. As you see, I had drone at 18 of August and now it's on it's way to the frontline!  Smiley

265  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reason why russia can never win war on: July 14, 2022, 09:57:20 PM
The NATO who had been supporting the Ukrainian goverment are making effort to crumble the economy of the Russian with different sanctions on them but still, there is no impact in this and the war sti continue. I don't see any sign of the war ending soon because the both parties are not ready for any negotiation of any other.

Looks like this wrote neural link, not a human. Man, this is not a gambling section, you should put more efforts and sense in your posts. Or go shitpost somewhere else.

Maybe I'm a little bit offensive, but really, your text to common.

About OP - you're also wrong. Russia unable to win not because of bonds, rather because it has shitty army and low morale of it's own troops. Also, it highly dependent on westerns part for it's own military production.

Here is my long promised story. Because of obvious reasons there will be not much of pictures. And this will be a short stories about some interesting and not-so-obvious facts.

Sooo. From what to start?

How I met the war

(So true)

I woke at 5.30 AM of February 24th because of sounds of explosions. I was not fully awakened and I lied in bed with thougths like "Omg, i hope this is storm, not what_I_think_it_is". After 15 minutes I got out of my bed, went to my panorama window and saw some Mordor-style horizon on the north. Then I had checked news before understood that it isn't a joke. A war FINALLY started.

Yep, because of two month of unrest about main question "Will there be war or not?" my first thought after accepting the fact was "Oh, FINALLY it happened!". At least i will not be thinking about potential of war anymore  Grin

The same vibes were also between my friends, no panic, just accepting the fact and move forward.

And yeah, I was fully prepared for such scenario: I had (!) a gun (which i gave to my friend on frontline later), military equipment (yep, i gave it too), a lot of cash, alert-backpacks, I knew safe place where i can take my relatives. Sometimes paranoia is for better , because a lot of my friends really do not know what to do.

The situation in Kyiv in the first days of war

GENERAL

(russian X-31P air-to-surface missile downed by ukrainian SAM at the morning of 24th of February)

February 24 and February 25 was the hardest days, because people didn't know what will be next and how it all will end. I've heard a lot of coolstories, like "Oh, this is just for 2-3 days, until russians will conquer all Ukraine territory and after that there will be order and the law" (LOL). Also, at first days Kyiv was heavily bombed and a lot of people who didn't run on 24th, after the first night understood that to stay in potentially besieged city is a bad idea .

Here is photo from my friend who lived at Poznyaki

I'm not sure what is this part of, maybe another russian cruise missile.

Many services (like Uber taxi) suspended their work, most of restaurants and bars did the same. Mostly because of the reason that many workers lived on the left side and all restaurants are on the right side of the city. And bridges was mostly impossible to pass.

(because of common services suspended their work it was impossible to repair or take out your car, so the guy just left his broken car on the street. In high resolution it can be seen yellow "SOS" on rear glass of the car)

As you can see, only one side on Northern Bridge worked, and all cars and people were heavily checked by army and police.  When I tried to pass through this bridge, soldiers had checked my passport, pockets, backpack, asked few cunning question (To know did i was really from Kyiv or not)

In first 2-3 days public transport worked, but in the next days it also suspended it's own work (as I know)

SUBWAY

Subway worked at the same time as the only arteria which connect different areas of the city and as a shelter. At every station only one entrance with a lot of armed police worked and if you wanted to enter, police would check your ID, all your backpacks, pockets and  may ask you some specify questions.

Inside of subway one line is worked (train moved in one side and then to another) and the second line served as a shelter with a trains where you can live as long as you want. Here is how it looked:

Also, a lot of people lived on the station itself in tents.

Here is a map of Kyiv subway in the first month of the war:

FOOD

With food things happened to be really funny:

While there were empty shelves with some cheap stuf, all expensive food was at it's place in great numbers. Hamon, oysters, salmon, expsnive chocolate shrimps, lobsters, snails, crayfish. Yeah, crayfish:

(Screenshot from video sent to me by my friend Kvanko. As you see, it was a horrible death Sad )

What I did during the war

Firstly, take my relatives to safe place outside the Kyiv.
Secondly, went to territorial defence near safe place, but it happened to be really lame, it was more about standing on blockposts than something really useful. And I was the only guy who know some basic tactic skills and medicine. So i left this guys (I was able to do that since i didn't sign anything by the time) and went to Kyiv.

Yeah, because of first two points, I've lost needed time to be drafted. I came to Kyiv at 2nd of March and by that time they didn't accept any new people (because of a lot of volunteers)

So, I started to volunteer. Since I have my own tactical equipment store, I gave everything with a 50 % discount (zero interest) and start to buy equipment outside of Ukraine (in German and Poland mostly).

(this is the second consignment of military equipment. As you can see, this is mostly high tech thermal vision. Thanks to one good user of Bitcointalk!)

Small results of my work:

Translation: Pointing those to whom you help

But this story I will tell you tomorrow (or later, ha ha)
269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian aggression against Ukraine. The world will no longer be the same. on: July 10, 2022, 07:42:29 PM
Characteristically, NLAW grenade launchers, for example, were often delivered with dead or oxidized batteries.

yeah, this is just from his words. And one interesting fact: For some reason operator shows NLAW only from side, not in front.
Maybe this because this NLAWs already used? *thinking*  Grin

And yeah, mostly only oldies on this exhibition telling some crazy stories, typical.
270  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Deep dive intro culture of russia-Ukraine war on: July 10, 2022, 07:06:19 PM
the reason for this war is capitalism

You're wrong. This hasn't anything with capitalism and war over resources. This mostly about ideological war, "War of memes" . Russians consider ukrainians as "fake" nation so they want to correct it. The war is the result of such "correction"

Also, added new info to @culture_context post. You're welcome to read

Russian Nervus rerum*

Many of people all around the world asking: What is the main goal of Russia in this war?

Answer: Destruction of Ukraine, it's culture and language.

But if we will try to look in higher orders? For example, Russia will break Ukraine. What will be next? Let see what russians think about it:

https://kenigtiger.livejournal.com/2162973.html

Translation: "If war will end in Kyiv (means: Russia will conquer Ukraine), the next war will start, again and again until we nuke some western city or they will run out of eastern europe and Asia countries"

So, the answer is pretty clear: War Without an End

This is mostly because russian consider their country as besieged by endless enemies. Western World - enemy, China - enemy, Finland - enemy, Japan - enemy and so on.

Russians like to quote words of russian emperor Alexander the Third"Russia has only two allies: the Army and the Navy."
Look at this russian meme. They quote Alexander and add to his words: "More than 100 years have passed, but nothing has changed"

So yeah, you can share it for all idiots who are talking about "peaceful talk" and all other such shit.

Also, read this twitter thread if you didn't done this yet

His most interesting (and important for westerner, for better understanding) threads which shows the main reason of this war:
1. War of memes: why Z-war won't end with peace (johhnyUA: I consider this thread as the most important in understanding about current war and russian goals. Under "russian goals" i mean not only Kremlin or just Kremlin. I mean the whole imperialistic russian nation)

"Russia aims to extirpating Ukrainian culture"

*Nervus rerum - Main Goal
272  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 09, 2022, 11:02:31 AM
Remember the Azovstal bunkers full of NATO generals? Well, no one does now, but it was playing on Russian TV at the time as one of the excuses why it took too months to occupy Mariupol and why they had to bomb it all to shit in the process.

You're wrong here. Despite the fact that noone had seen any "nato general" through captive on Azovstal, russian in general still believe in existence of such generals.

The reason why they don't see them for russian is easy: "Our NOVIOPS already exchanged generals behind our backs"
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 08, 2022, 09:58:14 PM
This got me thinking, I've only had one KYC done on a gambling platform as I am gambling on that website on a regular basis however I haven't checked their licence yet.

Could you please clarify more information on checking a proper casino? Also, Can I know more why having a EU/USA guarantees that the casino will not cheat or sell your data to anyone? Thanks!

It's easy to check if casino has USA/EU license. You can look where this company registered.
At first, UK/USA/EU license not cheap and you need to implement some quality standards to achieve it. And because of price, I doubt that casino will break them, because after that it would get into court and lost money paid for license.

But only few online casinos and betting sites are registered within EU/UK/USA zones.
274  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake making new accounts is too easy on: July 08, 2022, 09:45:28 PM
What do you get from doing this everything you do on Stake.com are recorded your IP your bets your history your location, you may not encounter issues right now but when you won a big amount and want to withdraw they will point all your violations, you don't take for granted what Stake.com can do they have proven that once they disable and ban your account it is backed by strong pieces of evidence, so stop doing this and change your way before its too late.

Ahahahaha, good explanation. man. I think this is enough good reason to stop play on Stake (if you're OP and don't want to play anymore, ofc)  Cheesy

This is typical practice within casinos. They know you're violating something but they want you to spend your money. If you win - you're get in trouble. Otherwise - no problem. Until you start to win, as i said
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 08, 2022, 09:27:27 PM
That is applicable if the Casino has no bet limit  Grin.  Even with unlimited resources, if the Casino implements a bet limit, the Martingale method is automatically doomed.  The reason for that is, the bet limit forbid a player to bet beyond a certain amount, and with the martingale strategy with a scenario of long series of a red streak, the bet will hit the cap which unable it to recover the lost amount with 1 win.

No. You're wrong.
As i said above the main problem with your balance amount. It must be endless to fulfill matingale probability. Otherwise you at risk to lose everything and not to achieve victory (winning outcome). Because Martingale doesn't promise that winning bet will be after 10-100-1000 bets. It can be after 1 000 000 bets. So you need endless resources.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 08, 2022, 08:08:41 PM
Although the original idea behind the creation of such apps was to provide a platform were individuals can practice their betting skills without loosing money before actually gambling with real money, i still find it useful to those trying to quit because they keep loosing money.

What is your opinion on Fake money gambling apps, do you recognize the potential I think they have to assist in reducing the number of gamblers who loose real money?

I think that this doesn't have any sense. Gambling is gambling because when you're betting on smth, you at risk to lose your money and so on. Without it feeling will not be the same. My IMHO.

And my observation of course. In poker without good bank everyone losing interest to fast.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 08, 2022, 08:00:29 PM
Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.

I'll tell again and again: Martingale works only if you have endless resources. By the term "endless" I mean really "ENDLESS", even more than few trillions of dollars  Grin Only in this case Martingale will work for sure. Or, you can decrease your bet, that it would tends to zero.

As we know from math lim resources (bet) (bet > 0 ) > endless
But in real life this doesn't have too much sense.

So just don't use Martingale  Smiley
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Payouts in casinos on: July 08, 2022, 04:27:16 PM
So is it highly personal ?

I think this is about marketing and creating a name.
There too much competition in gambling market right now, so better payouts it's important argument for many players.

- Have you ever considered researching about payouts before playing?

For honest - no.
The only thing I'm looking at is proofs of provably fair algorythm, nothing more.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 08, 2022, 04:20:24 PM
That's why we must be careful in choosing a casino site, especially one that uses kyc because we don't know what they can do with our data.

Exactly. And the answer for question "How to choose proper casino?" is easy: Choose those who has EU/USA license. Not of grey offshore, not of some third world countries. No. EU or USA - in this case you will be sure that casino not cheating and that it will not sell your data to some shady hackers.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 08, 2022, 04:15:57 PM
Many of us may know the name of an international courier service known as FedEx. This courier service company headquarter is in Tennessee, USA. FedEx currently distributes about 1.2 billion parcels a year in 220 countries with an annual revenue of about 3 billion. Smith, founder of FedEx, started his business with 84 million us dollar. At that time he started operations in 35 countries with 8 planes. But at one stage, the price of plane fuel increased and that contemporary time courier service did not become very popular. His company is on the verge of bankruptcy. Smith come back to Las Vegas feeling sad. At that time Las Vegas was known as the capital of casinos. He had only $5,000 when he entered a casino with a depressed mind. His destiny was revealed. He earned about $27,000 with in a week. Smith come back to FedEx headquarter and invest his money on his company even though his money was not enough to run the company but with his hard work and enthusiasm he arranged to send all the parcels. in this way he established his company.

Sounds like a "cool story", if you know what i mean.
27 000 dollars for such company as FedEx this is nothing. Is like 27 cent for you. Will they help you? I doubt it.

And of course, Smith could lose his 5000 dollars and then jump out of the window. Much more probable outcome than such "success story".
