Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it?

On this time it will be better if you are holding, because there is now no reason to sell your coins because the value is not even high enough to sell it with a good profit. I heard also from many people that they are saying that the value will not even rise after the halving so we should wait a longer time to sell it with a good value.
$400 is not higher enough for the miners with high electricity cost. If they pay $0.1 kWh, the electricity cost is about $220 each.

If it does fall to that level then I would surely engage myself in buying as many bitcoins possible, but its difficult to see bitcoin going that low at this particular stage, it would remain stable on $350 I guess.
The cost of mining has increased quite a lot recently. If the price drops too low, the miners will not sell. This will support the price.

I think it's good the price is stable around 380ish. I am sure the price eventually will go up or down, but it's good to see some stability at last.
That is just a consolidation or because people are selling bitcoin to buy Ethereum. But the Ethereum bubble might burst soon.

Boy we go down a little bit (for bitcoin) and everyone's crying that this is the end and we're going to $250, etc., etc. And we certainly could go to $250. Nothing's impossible with bitcoin especially with this spate of bad news we've had. But as I write this we're at $393, which is not too bad. I mean, come on. But if I said I knew for sure where we're headed, I'd be lying.
i don't think so bitcoin will never going back to $250 again but if price back to below $350, i think is reasonable because yesterday price down to #390 and i see price is still can down. I don't think the price will go down to $350. Currently there is an upward and downward trend every few days but its not very huge. It is quite difficult to say that the price will not go below $350. But if it does go below $350, it will be a brief period.

Stable price is good if we want to use bitcoin for currency / payment, as many merchant will keep bitcoin not immediately sell it like they do now. But for speculators, it's not a good thing because they want price is moving so they can make a profit. Because we saw a lot speculators on bitcoin now, i think hard to see that bitcoin price will stable for next years, unless many of speculators out from bitcoin.
I think 20% price volatility is regarded as stable for the bitcoin for the next few years. After that, may be 10% price volatility is normal.

In 2116, you will just need 100 statoshi to buy a pizza. The bitcoin will change a lot in 100 years.

If you are able to make profits out of selling your bitcoins at the time, you should go for it. I would advice you not to sell it all at once, you could sell 60% and hold 40% of your bitcoins. You never know if the bitcoin price will rise or not, so you should always have some bitcoins holding back.
If you have to sell some to cover your cost, then do it. Otherwise save as much as you can.

It will go back, of this I am certain, but 250 is too low.
Either we see the price go back to 380 dollar or even to 330 dollar. Not lower.
The price is not volatile recently. It traded within a range above $400. I think it will not drop below $400.

Volatility means insecurity. But not with bitcoin. With bitcoin it means some big holders/whales are speculation with lot's of money.
Again there is no event or signal that this rise would happen, or even hold...
When the price of bitcoin rises further, the market cap will be much larger. It is more difficult for whales to manipulate the market.

I wouldn't certainly buy Pizza for 10 000 Bitcoin as well. But then again it was exactly that that made bitcoin what it is today. So, should I buy a Pizza at 10. 000 satoshi now when it could be worth a lot more in the future? paradox
I will buy a PIzza at 100,000 satoshi. That will increase the circulation of bitcoin. But nobody will sell one to me.

Kinda feeling bad for the guys that felt for the FUD and didn't buy insane amounts at sub 300's BTC, it's looking more and more than we are at the last days of ever seeing sub 300's BTC. BTC on the 300's range will be history soon.
These guys still have the chance to buy below $450. I think the price will go up in the next 6 months.

10,000 satashi is about $0.04. There are not many places will sell pizza at this price. I will buy one if I have the chance.
