Well i say this is good news for the community, Shocked  lots of people will go search the internet for information again and they will learn that bitcoin is develping very quick in a positive way , and yes its start out negative again but everybody knows that you can use ur money for the good or the bad anyways... Wink
522  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Bfl jalapeno asic on: October 02, 2012, 07:47:24 PM

523  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL's new "highspeed manufacturing" capability? on: October 01, 2012, 09:35:07 PM
Very good questions  Wink

They magically produce 3 different types of devices in 1 or 2 months that can magically produce a magically amount of money against a magically low price and were are a lot of proof is magically not given so far ...

524  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Whose ASIC will ship first? on: October 01, 2012, 03:28:05 PM
Well it is October and there is still no PROOF or whatever that there are ASIC..at all.. Huh

I can kind of see your side on this...there isn't any physical evidence of the device because no one on the forum is holding one in their hands. I get that.

But there is PLENTY of circumstantial evidence to show otherwise. 4-5 different companies creating and marketing their devices...tons of obvious test runs shown in the network hash fluxes...BFL showing pictures of what their devices will look like on their website...

Not to mention they've already sold past products that are still in use today, and they're giving you an opportunity to upgrade those products.

The evidence is there...all you need to do is look Smiley

There is evidence these companies are in the process of create ASIC devices yes, but all of this evidence is based on speculation/statements. No one has seen any evidence of an actual prototype in their consumers or manufacturers hands. I think that is where the concern is coming from, since after all, how can you delivery early November if you don't even have a prototype out yet?

525  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Whose ASIC will ship first? on: October 01, 2012, 03:21:12 PM
you're a retard, if there were no asics, then over 10 thousand people would sue the company and get their money back

Sue what then?? if all those 10 thousand people get there hands on a asic x 50gh they screw themselfs don,t you get it??
Just let me be the retard who will say ..i told u so.. thx
526  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Whose ASIC will ship first? on: October 01, 2012, 02:46:00 PM
Well it is October and there is still no PROOF or whatever that there are ASIC..at all.. Huh

The gpu,s were invented and created by a million dollar gaming industrie so thats for real, the fpga were there also before btcmining, i really hope for those pre-ordered they WILL get deliverd.. Shocked Shocked

So i say non will get deliverd first..

527  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: miners: how are you going to react to the reward halving? on: September 30, 2012, 10:44:01 PM
If the exchange rate is still $12.32/BTC on halving day I'll drop to $0.43/day.

Presuming you are like most other GPU miners and pay a normal electric rate (e.g., $0.15 per kWh) then your electricity for the rig will likely exceed $0.43/day.

But let's say it is break even.  You'ld rather pay $12 to your electric company for a month of mining which yields 1 BTC versus sending $12 to an exchange and getting your 1.0 BTC that way?

And if your electric bill comes in higher than the $0.43 per day, then you are paying above market rate to buy -- and you are going through the effort of managing a rig for free.

If it is a hobby, then call it a hobby.   But anyone mining GPUs for the purpose of profit should know right now ... in about 60 days the party is over. [Edit: Of course, there are other uses for your GPUs, but mining BTC for-profit is specifically what I'm addressing.]

No - everyone was making statements like this when btc was 5.50 with lower difficulty. halving the block reward is effectively the same as halving the price of btc. People are were still mining at 5.50, and 2.50, and 0.02.

Minor point, pools may need to charge higher fees.

Major point, tech change - ASICs coming out, what if you're lovely BFL SC single is only netting you $120 per month (40x difficulty) - extreme example, but thats the only uncertainty in btc right now, the potential for asic mining to kill the hobbyist aspect by making gpu mining pointless, thus killing demand for btc in general.

Personally, I think we'll see a 10 or 20 times increase in difficulty once asics saturate the market... which probably won't make gpu mining die entirely, if it comes with the price increase expected to go along with the halving, you might see people running gpu farms for another year or so.

yes and then there will be created asic farms.. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes..i don t see a problem at all for miners..big or small, the ones with the most money will still gain the most assets and shares.. but that will always be that way...but i do think allot of small miners are counting themselfs to rich thinking there pre orderd 50ghas device makes them quick money..it would today but it wouldnnot next year when deliverd....IF ever deliverd.. Huh Huh Huh

It s going to be an exciting next half year in miners land, block halving, ASIC delivery, total hash power due to testing  ect.ect.... Kiss

I let my gpu,s run as long as they make btc,s  Cheesy   and will see what will happen, or the price or difficulty will change, but I hope in the long run the made coins will pay it self in about 3 years from now so i am thinking in a long term, maybe next year i will turn around to asic if they are for real,...and dropped in price vs needed ghase vs difficulty..i adjust to the market even when blok reward is halving.  Wink
532  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Nederlands! (algemeen) on: September 28, 2012, 09:00:25 AM

Wink

Posted this on our blog so that others can refer people to it - it's another "overview" of what Bitcoin is, but formatted as "The First Five Questions" everyone is bound to have. This is particularly useful for any journalists who are starting to research Bitcoin.

Not super useful to pros on this forum, but please feel free to use any of it for any purpose. Copy, paste, edit, and redistribute at will.

534  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is it even worth it to buy/order an ASIC single now? on: September 26, 2012, 06:08:43 AM
Regarding whether we are a scam or not, the several thousand shipped units can speak for itself. We've used the experience gained in mass production
of our singles in our SC production cycle (we've got a MyData Pick-And-Place and an Oven for high-speed and high-volume inhouse assembly). Someone
mentioned the backlog is already 5,000. On a production speed of 500 units a day for instance, 5,000 will only take 10 days. We've already prepared the
infratructue for very high volume production, since the great portion of the orders will come in after the SC is released to the public. 5,000 units is not much
compared to orders we expect to receive after SC release, so we're very ready for it.

edit:
If I did not already have BFL equipment on order I would not invest.  This seems to me to be a very questionable time in Bitcoin mining.

1) Wel maybe ONE picture of some kind off production line would say more to me then all these words.. Wink

2) This is so true 2 me... Cool
535  Other / Off-topic / Re: butterflylabs.com - any comment about your ASIC progress? on: September 25, 2012, 11:06:32 PM
Will there be a power adaptor splitter a bit like Enterpoint has done, so if someone has 5 or 10 SC Japalenos or Singles, then they don't have to use 5 or 10 power adaptors taking up just as many power sockets ?

Let's first see some Jalapenos and Singles in the wild, then worry about power adaptor splitters  Cheesy

I trust no one, not even myself ! *queue eerie music while crazy guy laughs in background *

But seriously, I couldn't agree more, trust is something hard to earn and quick to break, with horrible consequences in most cases.

zie: Huh   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110805.0

Hallo BTC miners,

Ik ben me nu al enige tijd aan het verdiepen in het minen van BTC en zit met het volgende;

Ervan uitgaande dat je mined om geld te verdienen;

Huh
