...
Possibly. Certainly has a bigger userbase (because first on the scene/paying people to post with multiple accounts via sig ads).
I was talking about this forum, not the reddit page but okay.

That's what I'm talking about too, see your sig (which, presumably, pays, idk). Is /r/bitcoin also paying people to post?

So yeah, this forum has more posts, but ~95% of the content is:
1. Insipid pay2post bullshit, most of it in embarrassingly broken/misspelled/mispunctuated English. I'm not a native speaker myself, but content like that shoo' makes bitcoin enthusiasts look like illiterate morons.
2. Red vs. Blue bullshit: You suck/are a shill because you don't like what I like.

The rest is comic relief, scam accusations, scam attempts, sig campaign promotions & gambling.

It is still much better than the alternatives.

Possibly. Certainly has a bigger userbase (because first on the scene/paying people to post with multiple accounts via sig ads).
But other forums are narrowing the spread. Thanks, in part, to draconian bullshit like "If 90% of /r/Bitcoin users find these policies to be intolerable, then I want these 90% of /r/Bitcoin users to leave," & super-pro moderation.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: /btc is full of hypocrites or shills on: March 25, 2016, 02:04:18 PM
Yeah it's getting out of hand. All /btc/ is is just a FUD hate central about Core and Blockstream, they spread half truths so casuals think Bitcoin Classic is the second coming of Jesus Christ that will save Bitcoin from problems that don't really exist.

so much for quiting bitcointalk.org
i just love the controversy too much!

I didn't believe you'd really leave. You can't really trust that other forum anyway. It's run by cypherdoc.
If you're not getting deleted/banned, what is it you feel requires trust? I never had a post deleted there, have you?
Trust is needed only when a forum takes on the burden of censorship; only then does stuff like trust & impartiality come into play.
... Not even that, but literally everything there is anti-core, anti-blockstream.

Gets annoying/repetitive after a while.
It does, but consider how the users ended up on that forum.
People joined bitcointalk because they were interested in Bitcoin.
They joined bitco.in/forum because they were censored, or booted from, bitcointalk. Mostly due to their support of [that which must be unspoken].
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: /btc is full of hypocrites or shills on: March 25, 2016, 12:44:07 PM
Could you please explain what you mean by " Classic supporters are controlled opposition" I just don't understand what you mean, thanks.

Who do you think is controlling them?

Who knows, but there is some hidden agenda that they are doing , of that i`m sure.

They are very shady people.

Regarding your earlier point about the daily candle, it is within two hours of closing, and looks like it could be red today.. it is going to be a close call, since price has been hovering between  $415 and $417 all day.. and maybe a little over $417.50 would cause the daily candle to come out green?

227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: March 24, 2016, 05:17:54 PM
This is great, means next Bitcoin rally won't have such weak hands hodling btc

228  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Microsoft Keys! Windows 10, Office 2016 and Much More! on: March 23, 2016, 05:51:19 PM
At the moment, I only accept Paypal as a payment.

Peddling MSDN keys on a Bitcoin forum and ...not even accepting BTC.
Lame. Also should've been deleted long ago by teh mods, because verboten Cheesy
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: March 22, 2016, 08:37:32 PM
... yeah, but to be honest bitcoin is way less used for doing illegal stuff than fiat ...

Yup. That's because the whole world uses fiat, and just a handful of people use BTC.
So, while most IRL BRC use is criminal, almost no one uses it, so your claim holds true.

OTOH, while more people die from choking than from exploding hand grenades (in US), choking hazard snacks are not regulated (in US), while hand grenades are.
You wanna hazard a guess as to why that is?
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: March 22, 2016, 08:24:21 PM
Bitcoin will go dormant till the internet is brought back online and will build up just like every other commodity as the world gets its bearing. Seems like a odd question to pose,to me it seems obvious like asking what happens when I turn out the lights?

Not quite.
Since the internet won't be brought back up simultaneously everywhere, the first miners to go online will have the option of 51% attack/doublespend/fork/etc., etc.

Why israeli people love bitcoin so much?

You know Jews are great bankers, so it's not surprising that they've tapped into the new trend. It's a wise move investing in bitcoins now as bitcoins hold the future. Or don't you think so?

Yup, with over 5% of the hashpower & over 30% of the nodes voting against, either that 95% min for consensus or the need for consensus will shortly be forgotten.

IMO it's unlikely that miners will refuse to take a scaling option that's sitting right in front of them.
But if 95% can't be achieved, it's possible to switch to a lower percentage.

It's also possible to do a softfork with less than 50% mining power

There seems to be some fuzzy logic going on here.
Of course there's fuzzy logic going on here. Don't use jargon you don't understand.

Looks like you are attempting to employ your own diversion from the topic by pointing fingers.   I fully explained what I meant in my post, and if you want some further explanation of some "jargon", then let me know. < snip >
Ignorant fuck:
"Fuzzy logic," the jargon you're misusing, means "non-Boolean logic." It does not mean shitty/sloppy logic.
The rest of your post is, per usual, more drawn-out bland bullshit peppered with buzzwords. Which you hope against hope other idiots would mistake for erudition.
Which, of course, they do not.
And if the meaningless, insipid tripe you type up ain't enough, you pad it out with shitloads of blank lines. You annoying fuck.

The status quo does not lose consensus or its position merely because you get 10, 20 or even close to 50% of people complaining or protesting.  That's ridiculous.
Good luck with making that segwit thingy happen. Enjoy your status quo: 3tps Smiley

Seg wit has more or less achieved consensus and is going to be going live because it has achieved consensus.
Nah. Needs 95% support, ain't got it. Hilarious, since thermos & co. set that bar Smiley

Got your hobo bindles & "Argentina or Bust!" cardboard signs stylish go bags & super legit Paki passports ready?

@BitUsher: that 95% consensus gambit backfired pretty hilariously, hmm?
