I think that any kind of betting on a negative outcome of your own team or yourself should be completely forbidden, fined, and that person should receive not only a financial punishment. But I see nothing bad in placing a bet on a positive outcome of your team or yourself. What could be wrong if your strongly believe in yourself, your team and bet on a win?
