Question -- how do I specify multiple source addresses for sending BTC?
623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why I maxed my BTC holdings on: February 09, 2012, 07:05:46 AM
The thing I see is, risk assets are extremely overbought at present, and BTC seems to follow the general flow of liquidity/credit in the broader financial markets.

If it does not follow their behavior, then it will be a first for Bitcoin IMO.

I of course have no clue what will happen, just postulating here Wink

627  Economy / Lending / Re: 13 BTC loan, will repay 14.5 BTC on: February 09, 2012, 01:01:42 AM
I was just thinking, right now BTC has a lot of P2P lending, but pooling risk for lending purposes might make more sense.
628  Economy / Lending / Re: 13 BTC loan, will repay 14.5 BTC on: February 09, 2012, 12:36:12 AM
I have a better idea. Take all his loans and package them into the "Pimple Kid High-Yield Investment Fund" - I bet Goldman could auction off shares in no time! And when they go sour, Bernanke will just print the money to cover your @$$.

Does anyone know how to donate BTC to this group?

Thanks!

true - Sorry, you missed me. :-/ I'm in LA! (Or close enough to count Cheesy)

I met up with BrightAnarchist in Vegas then Dissipate in San Diego. Now I'm staying with Coinman in orange county.

I've got in touch with everyone on my map who's in LA but I've probably missed some people. I'm gonna go to the Crash Space hackerspace at 8pm tuesday and maybe give a presentation there. Bitcoin meetup?

I am going to stick around for about a week and continue north to SFO / Portland / Seattle / Vancouver. I'm having too much fun to stop now. So far I love San Diego and California, I'm looking forward to seeing what lies north.

I'd like to plan out my route more carefully now that I'm on the tech-heavy west coast, so let me know if there's anyone I should meet, anywhere I should talk about Bitcoins, or anything I should see or do.

Thanks a ton to everyone who's helped me make it this far - everyone who's sent me coins, you rule, everyone who I've met, you rock.

PLATO

It was a blast, Plato! Anytime you're in Vegas again drop me a line

Crap, need 1 more BTC in this loan. I forgot about transaction fees and am trying to send a very specific amount for asthetic purposes.

Will pay back 2 BTC for this additional 1 BTC.

Again, address is:

Done. Please repay 19 BTC (total for both loans) by 2/7/12. No interest necessary on the 1 BTC extra.

19 BTC repaid early, please confirm on this thread - thanks!

Looking for a mini-loan to satisfy me until my next super-slow dwolla purchase goes through.

I have a very high standing in the community, feel free to research me. I am on honest traders thread etc. Have taken out a micro-loan before as well

I'm using the money to give a gift of BTC to a friend, but I don't have any patience.

My receiving address for this transaction:

Thanks!

638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BIP 16 / 17 in layman's terms on: January 29, 2012, 09:28:21 PM
For this reason, I think it would be very advisable for everyone to upgrade their clients when either BIP-16 or BIP-17 get adopted.

I think the concern is that this is not likely to happen. I saw a figure somewhere that 70% of clients are running a version lower than 0.5.

What about a staged update like when the default fee changed 0.3.22/23?

I don't like to upgrade. I really appreciate the work that goes into new features and versions, but sometimes things go wrong and I want to stay months behind. I certainly see the value in the improvements being discussed, but what I need is working and my main priority is keeping it that way.

Financial software is a different world from most. "If it ain't broke don't fix it" is the rule of the land in that arena, and with very good reason.

Can I "empty" several of my addresses to single, already existing, MY OWN address?

I am getting "Error: Transaction creation failed".

Can it be "not enough money on all specified addresses to take a required fee from it" problem?

I also have the same issue.

I just ordered an issue. Looking forward to it!
