You should laugh, but I have a feeling, based on special subset of my indicators, which says that my short buy @~65 may transform into long position. 30% probability estimation.

Really good call on this!

On a wave basis, we have 9 waves down from the July 21st high - specifically, looking like a wave 4 finished near $100 and we had a fifth wave impulse down from there to complete a larger impulse (9 waves visible on a chart is typical because it means one of the impulse waves extended, giving you 1-2-3-4-(1)-(2)-(3)-(4)-(5) in this case). So we could easily mean-revert back to $100 from here as a correction of the burgeoning Wave C downtrend.

Short buy everything below $70.

Daily sma 200 should rebound.

Conflicting_arguments_brain_hurts  Tongue

short the USD

I think he means short-term buy, as in f( timeframe, direction ) Wink
63  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Palio diet and how effective is it for weight loss? on: July 04, 2013, 08:14:07 PM
I gained a lot of weight as a result of meds I was on. Unfortunately I cannot exercise due to exteme pain and muscle dysfunction.

The counter this, all I did was simply (1) cut back on carbs and (2) eat more veggies and fruits and (3) no eating after dinner. This affects me particularly because I'm a night person: I have little appetite during the day and a huge appetite at night - not sure why it just seems to be baked into my genes (also hotter at night, higher energy, increased heart rate, etc.) Yet avoiding food in the evening does not seem to increase my appetite during the subsequent day. Not sure why though.

Ended up losing 25 lbs pretty fast with these simple changes. Unfortunately, now I'm under my target weight and too skinny, but that makes some sense since I cannot bulk my muscles at this time.

My conclusion is that dicipline is what matters, and small/sustainable changes can have a big impact over time provided you follow it to the T. Anything extreme just doesn't work, for many reasons...

Nice charts lucif.

BTW although Wave C has *finally* brought some recognition among bitcoiners that we've been in a bear market since the ATH, there's absolutely no dearth of perma-bulls, and therefore this bear still has a long way to go - please observe the responses to the following post (important psychological statements in bold):

I am seriously considering getting out of this game. Give some strength bros!

EDIT: I sold some of my Bitcoins but I will still hold fairly good amount of BTC for the longest time.

Note that he's "considering" but hasn't acted yet, which is the crucial part. Also, the responses are amazing:

I won't give any strength, but I'll give you some USD for some cheap BTC. Grin

I've been buying like crazy.

Hang on tight. Don't lose faith. This is time to buy up more coins while we go through this period of slow down.

I am seriously considering getting out of this game. Give some strength bros!

I'm still holding. Looking at the bubbles the last 2 years, the price will recover and go higher than before. If you are so damn sure it will go low, you can sell your coins and try to buy in lower but it's a big risk.
I'm holding out for sure until Winklevoss IPO hits which values coins at $100 each. Lets see if the institutional investors like Bitcoin, easy to purchase a stake in.

Chill out man, worst case scenario, hold your bitcoins for a year and make a massive profit.

People will NOT be talking like this at the next major bottom.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any word on why Bitcoin has dropped 30% in the last 3 or 4 days??? on: July 04, 2013, 03:07:52 AM
We've had a bubble and now it's deflating.

Exactly... all these other explanations are just... crap
66  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: July 03, 2013, 02:48:00 PM
When will you learn.... bitdaytrade is a scammer / thief whatsoever and will never pay anything... Even if he announces something its just another lie, so dont get your hopes up...

Unfortunately this is true.

He's probably a drug addict like Trendon Shavers as well (pirate's drug of choice was cocaine); it wouldn't surprise me one bit given the similar behavior here. The nonsensical rants that Meni described fit right in, along with chronic dishonesty and of course criminal behavior. The one piece of good news is that large scale BTC thefts will enable these folks to abuse their drugs ad infinitum, which invariably leads to an early grave.

Quite a breakdown today. Cool

This makes me feel sick.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Well we are back to the double digits again on: June 28, 2013, 01:54:00 AM
Such lament already and yet the bear market in Bitcoin has only barely begun!
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: June 27, 2013, 02:38:36 AM
Anyway, sorry.  That figure came from the total cycle length (top to top).  We are over 6 years past the previous bull market top.  With an average 4 year timespan from top to top, we are due for a bear market and may have just put in the top in May.
Sell in May and go away.

Absolutely. I'm short everything right now and long the dollar i.e. the deflation trade:

"Over the past two weeks or so, we've been seeing a very clear portrait of how sick our economies are. Not that you would know it from reading the press. The term deflation pops up only very cautiously. Could that be because people don't understand what's going on? Or are they simply afraid of the word? This is the real thing, guys. And it's going to hurt."

71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: June 26, 2013, 02:25:15 PM
Will I get my $20-$30 Bitcoins after all. Been waiting a long time.

I've gone into litecoin as well recently as it was priced quite low at around $2.20 a few days ago.

I'm not so sure. A LOT of people are thinking the same thing, and the one market principle I believe in more than waves and psychology is the principle of maximum ruin. I'm not sure the mechanism, but the market will try to prevent that strategy from working, somehow.

In any event, if the triangle's upper line holds, then sometime in July we kiss trlple digits goodbye for a long, long time IMO.
72  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Building the Next Generation of Crypto-Currency (developers required) on: June 26, 2013, 12:15:28 AM
Do you have a code repository up yet? I absolute would like to contribute to this project.
Yes we do but it's still empty: https://github.com/peercash/peercash

We are still lacking a team of core developers but if anyone wants to start working on the code I would welcome it. It's harder than I expected it would be to get some good programmers in on this project. I think once we get started on the code things will naturally progress at a faster rate and more programmers will be attracted to the project. And it's not like the project is totally unfunded so contributions will be rewarded.

And I'm still not entirely sure whether working in Java is the best idea. Would you prefer to work in C++ or Java? It seems most of the good bitcoin programmers are better with C++ so I'm not sure that building it in Java is the best idea after all. We need to decide this carefully before writing the first line of code.

Personally I can't stand writing code in Java (checked exceptions...), but I do acknowledge that bitcoinj and supernode are much furthur along than any other managed language implementation (such as bitcoin C#)

Also, recommend you call the unit XPC

When marketwatch is giving tips on how to avoid a 2008 crash, its because things are getting pretty fucked up.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/how-to-avoid-another-2008-stock-crash-2013-06-24

Lol

The new 2008 has already started, except much worse - this time, treasuries aren't even safe!

Nice selloff in bitcoin today right along with everything else (except for the dollar, which should strengthen during a deflationary episode)...  Think wave e is over in btc -> but lucif has it broken below the triangle yet?
74  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Dollar headed for 'multi-year rally' " on: June 22, 2013, 06:50:16 PM

Agreed.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: June 22, 2013, 06:47:55 PM
I agree. My model is deflation followed by hyperinflation. But don't underestimate the deflationary part of the cycle, it will be (and already is) intense.

Really? I'm still waiting to see prices dropping around me; or at least stop increasing.  Huh

It takes a while for falling prices to register in the PPIFGS, since the economy is such a lagging indicator. The thing I'm watching is the collapse in commodities, especially gold and silver. These types of declines are a precursor to falling prices throughout the economy, and we are at the correct time in the K-cycle for deflation (winter). We are very, very early in this new phase - heck, stocks only topped a few weeks ago! Give it time.

77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: June 22, 2013, 03:40:35 PM

A period of deflation is not uncommon to see before (hyper)inflation. I wouldn't be too confident if I were you.

Awesome! I have proposed the "rolling chain" concept myself. It's the future for sure.

80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prices Follow Dollar with 0.89 Correlation on: June 22, 2013, 02:57:51 AM
Over what time period??

I don't think this correlation is valid - maybe for a very short time period. My own long-term correlation studies (utilizing ALL the data) don't match up with this.

Just the last 50 days.

OK, that makes more sense. 50 days is pretty much random IMO. The study I ran shows a strong correlation with the S&P, but that was over all the data. The dollar more or less moves inversely to the S&P, hence my surprise at the OP.
