Does anyone have the new Dragonmint 16T miner running yet?
I see where they are available on Ebay so guessing someone has a few running?
Initial thoughts on Hash Rate, Noise, and power consumption?  Are they worth the money for the extra 3TH over the S9?
Great deals out there on the new S9's if you have the $420 coupon...
Any feedback would be appreciated?
Ref the Halong Dragon thread for feelings about the company and its products. That discussion does not belong here specifically because the T1 does NOT WORK AT ALL on 'normal' (non-AB patched) pools.

I read a firmware update is supposed to be coming out to where we can point to any pool, so we can use on kano then.

KDB is doing a restart - it crashed at 17:40 UTC
Restart almost completed.

Lulz at the abuse Smiley

Does restarting the pool effect ramp up in any way?

So my payment page shows I got payment for this block, but nothing was sent for the previous block. Yes the previous block was above the dust threshold. (It's possible I didn't have a payout address at the time) what happens to those funds?
If you didn't have a payout address, then the rewards join the dust bunnies, to be sent out after I get time to finish the accounting code.
Awesome thanks for the quick response. Any eta on that?

My t1 can still mine at kano, just at reduced hash correct?
246  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [110+PH] KanoPool kano.is 10 BTC giveaway 🐈 on: April 02, 2018, 10:29:21 PM
Just wanted to give a shout out to clgrissom3 for donating a $420 coupon going towards another S9 to Kano Pool. Thanks a lot!!

I also just decommissioned an S7 that was only running on 2 boards. That being said...... I have an S7 that was hashing on 2 boards for a while at 2.8 TH/s if someone smaller is looking for a CHEAP addition. If there are anymore coupons of $420 that are not going to be used by someone willing to donate, I will donate this S7 to someone willing to keep it on Kano if I can get at least 2 more coupons to go towards S9's

I'll take you up on that.

On a side note I'm getting to many failures when trying to login to kano, I think I'm ip banned is there a way to change this? Been this way for 24hrs approx.

Thoughts on this pool and ckpool? Just switched all my ckpool miners over, gonna give kano a try. Was on ck for 7-8 days, no luck on a block :/. 0% fee for them and kano is .9% I believe, any other huge differences I need to know of? Bringing over 165TH/s for now.
248  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [7 PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: March 29, 2018, 06:50:27 PM
...You don't need to understand how blockchain works to start mining.

It's like, you buying a car and you don't need to know how it works under the hood to successfully drive it everyday and make a living as a driver.
Same with operating mining equipment.
Imo, it's more like buying an electric car, driving it around, and then asking if it takes gas or diesel when you're stranded on the side of the road because you didn't charge it.  Undecided

Well if you did your due diligence you would learn the car was actually a hybrid Toyota Camry and not the tesla model 3 like you thought. Thankfully you were able to uber to a nearby gas station and buy 87 octane unleaded gas to put back into your car and continue on your journey! Smiley
249  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [7 PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: March 29, 2018, 07:43:25 AM
At the risk of being a complete dick, my question is how do you drop $20,000 USD on 9 units of computer equipment when you haven't the vaguest idea how they work, what they do, or even the basics of mining?

imo, "what are shares? and how do blocks work?" are questions you ask before you buy equipment; because, due diligence   Undecided

I knew enough about mining to be comfortable starting. I've been involved in the crypto scene since 2012, I remember the rise and fall of mtgox and how butterfly labs ripped everyone off. I have a basic understanding of what is being solved, and how it's being solved. With that being said, I've never mined in a pool before until recently. I took a risk and I'm happy I did, but there's always more to learn and I'm trying to soak up what I can. I don't think I ever asked how do blocks work, only about shares. As for the money, it's both an investment, and my support of what I think is the future. I'll be directing 600TH/s towards this pool in the near future.

How do I know when I'm fully ramped up and have reached 5x difficulty? Only earned .005btc with 9 s9's in 3 days. Obviously I know this isn't accurate due to ramp time, hence the question.
Also on pool info page what's the diff? It's at 25, is that the odds of solving a block or something?
Believe it took my 2 -741 about 5 days.  but what you see as earned is only what you will get if block found right now.  you also get btc over course of next 4 blocks if you keep mining or quit mining.   Kinda hard to figure,  but this is the best payout of any pool,   just comes a little slower.

The 25 means we have submitted 25% of the shares of the mythical 100% shares needed for 100% luck to solve a block.

we could solve a block at 26 or 126 or 226 or any number between 0 and a couple thousand..   but we normal get one around 100 give or take.   except that last real lucky block that was 1.5

How does the submitting shares work? Each new block requires a new number and new shares correct? Shares generated by trying to solve block x can't be used to solve block y right? If somebody wants to point me in the right direction I don't mind doing my own research, albeit it might confuse me more.

I'm sure this has been answered a million times but I didn't see the answer after a brief search. How long is the ramp up time? Moved my small farm over yesterday and want to know how long it will be before fully functioning. Also can somebody give me the condensed version of herp derp, I've read and reread it and still can't wrap my mind around it.

3rd question, how much is the block finder reward?
253  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: March 26, 2018, 06:43:25 AM
Has anyone got an update for batch 1 shipping?

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is no one who has received  substantial delivery of T1 in the field?

Halong has posted on there twitter page retweeting people that have picked up by hand in Hong Kong it looks like.

Got 9 s9's I'm going to be throwing at this pool, hopefully the luck hasn't run out.

Why does the site say its running at 8ph/s but https://btc.com/stats/pool/CKPool says its 112ph/s. I'm a little confused by this.
255  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [65+PH] KanoPool kano.is 10 BTC giveaway 🐈 on: March 15, 2018, 10:03:09 AM
So I have ~ 200th now, and 600th next month to throw at a pool. This one came highly recommended along with slush and nicehash (selling power not the pool) what are peoples thoughts on this pool vs those other 2. Also, can somebody explain the ramping up and payout method? I've read it a few times, and then googled, and I'm still confused.

Just deposited and my user name and deposit address have now changed. How do I recover the amount that I have deposited? I can post the address I sent to if that helps.

Forwarded you the email and cc'd you on the reply. Blockchain has confirmed that if I have coins that are showing but can not be spent, that they are unconfirmed and could be rejected by network. You would owe me the sum again. Please confirm you got said email.

Here is proof that I can not spend the coins.

The payout was confirmed by the Bitcoin network as you can see in all block explorers :

There might be an error in your wallet provider. Please see the e-mail that we sent you in an effort to help you resolve it.

I have contacted blockchain.info still havent gotten a response. Now bear with me hear, im not going to call myself an expert on bitcoin, but I know more than the average person. However, with that being said, you guys deal with BTC every day, and im going to defer to your expertiese here. Hear me out.
There are two blocks that my transactions confirmed on. One is a orphaned block, and the other is on the chain.

Block: https://blockchain.info/block-index/1464124 <-- This is the one that is on the main chain.
Orphan Block: https://blockchain.info/block-index/1464119 <-- This is the block that was orphaned

My transaction 084e41a62a733f1aa6f105f2e3265673d5b3647ac52adabb88d0a033e8240cf6 is included in both blocks. I have 2 other bets also included in both orphan and normal chain blocks. e3db44c12f7fd8f4aa672e1a543cce0625c38d37934887814e4b8614b0b90ffb and 51ce4a8dd8daaacdc50612351a4684742334be3b867addef99afb311afcb621c. As you can see, all three of these transactions got included in both blocks. Still with me? Now the 1st txid states that there is .47061536BTC that is unspendable and has been double spent, blockchain.info warns me "Warning! this transaction is a double spend. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to/from this sender."  The 2nd and 3rd transaction are for values of .1274276btc and .20133999btc added together they total of 0.32876759btc. https://blockchain.info/address/1BrTB7EfbLMwceb5kXaYWuY7Dy5qUAFMc1 Check out my bitcoin balance in that wallet, its .exactly 0.32876759 and the total unspent outputs for 1BrTB7EfbLMwceb5kXaYWuY7Dy5qUAFMc1 is .79938295BTC which is the .032876759 (which is unspent according to the above link) and the .47061536BTC that is currently unspendable and just sitting in my wallet. Again, I have emailed blockchain.info with this, but I am requesting help from you guys as well. I have been a loyal customer for years and feel like I am getting screwed. I have emailed this, and am posting on thread also, so if anyone with tons of BTC knowledge can join in and help.
260  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Now Accepting Ether ! on: February 25, 2017, 07:23:55 AM
You double spend my transaction causing me not to be able to spend the BTC I won.

Your payout was confirmed by the Bitcoin network. There is no problem with it.

Please double check your wallet and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Here is proof that I can not spend the coins. https://blockchain.info/unspent?active=1BrTB7EfbLMwceb5kXaYWuY7Dy5qUAFMc1&format=html It shows as unspendable. The block that my transaction came in became orphaned, and I believe you spent the coins again paying somebody else, rending my coins null and void. Using blockchain.info wallet I can not spend. If I use my electrum wallet, the transaction doesnt even show up in my wallet. The error is on your end I believe.
