Kano is very active in this thread, if he doesn't answer by tomorrow I'll shoot him a PM.

So I'm pretty sure there's a bug and I got paid 2 much. My N average was calculated from when you ran all of the shifts instead of when the block was found. My N average was only 330TH when block was found but I got credit for 412TH
I'm not saying your hashrate is right or wrong but it should be the average from all of the shifts paid on that last block which was from a2www ako BTC Apr‑09 21:42:41 all the way down to 9zudx sena Apr‑03 08:16:06 (to the red line on the shifts page). It's possible that you could average your hash rate over that range to see what it should be. My hash rate would be even lower than so that still doesn't answer the issue that I think I'm having?

Been mining on Kano for a few months now and noticed that the reward for a block shows up almost as soon as the block is found but with block (517439) there is no reward showing. It has 25 confirms. Anyone else not get paid the reward? Thank you.
I'm only at 41 TH/S but there should be at least some reward (even though pool has grown).
Kano is doing some manual adjustments and checking, reward should be sent before maturity still

Damn up to 165TH! Unreal how fast we growing.

Come on block!!! Under 100% would be a nice change instead of 200!

Block by cryptostarusa! This is our 1st of BLOCK SUNDAY! It was less than 200% as well The reward for this block wont appear until I've finished fixing the missing shift, just before the payout - I still need to fix the missing shift and I'm setting that up now on another server to generate the missing shift data (charlotte) and correct the belldandy shift. Anyone who looked closely enough would have noticed that the beldandy shift says it's twice as long but not twice as many shares (and charlotte is missing) The reward of course depends on the shift data, so I have to get the shifts correct before generating the rewards, for doing the payout. It should be done in time for the payout I've uploaded the missing charlotte shift to the live database. I'll need to restart KDB (again) to bring that shift data into the system. Sorry for the short notice, but that will be when the current shift completes and updates which will be in the next 5-10 minutes. This also will fix the block Diff% since it was missing a shift in the calculation - it's a few % higher - but still just under 200% KDB restart as soon as the current shift updates, in the next 5-10 minutes. No mining will be affected, only you'll see lotsa zeros and ?s on the web site during the KDB restart. Thanks!

25 blocks to maturity, think those share calculations will be ready by then?

If anybody has any 400+$ coupons I'm looking to buy another 20-25 miners within a week if I can get enough coupons. Currently have 6
Aaaaaahhh... So you could spare me 2... I offered 2! Just not 400$ ones

KDB restarting (again) - restart was at 04:39 UTC
As pointed out the other day, no mining is affected by a KDB restart at all.
The web site will show lotsa zeros and '?'s until the restart completes.
Sorry about that, had to do a second reload due to a resource timeout just after the first reload completed. I have a process that forces all the payout and related data into RAM to ensure the web site is OK when long term miners request that data - unfortunately it caused a timeout just as the reload finished and lead to a 2nd restart. I've disabled that until KDB has restarted again and the system has settled down to normal running. Finally KDB/Web up and running again. Had a few problems getting it back online - again resource issues. All OK again - as said before, it had no effect on mining and, by the KDB design, there's never any missing shares or data. I'm considering doing a main back end server update in the near future (with a reboot) which will mean about a 15 minute (or less) outage. I'll give everyone at least 2 days notice (and on the web site also) before I do that though. Site worked for about 15 seconds, now it's down again for me

There was a back end pool restart at 12:56 UTC Everyone will have failed over to their 3rd pool. The script restarted it immediately, so everyone should be failing back within the next 5 minutes. Sorry about that unexpected restart.
Hi, Is it possible to send out an alarm when something like this happens? Right now i got an Email from nicehash that some of my workers were disconnected. So assuming they re-connected to Kano again, but not all did, so my hasrate dropped again. Thats a bit of a bummer, as i want to measure profit compare for mining at kano. Thanks. I'm surprised you got NH to connect, I couldn't for the life of me.

@kano is there a way to verify if my current rented shares are trash shares or actually helpful? Currently have around 4-5hrs left on my 1.2ph order. Would be more than willing to redirect to a test pool for research if needed.

No need to be coy, with whom are you renting? Inquiring minds want to know! https://www.miningrigrentals.com/?ref=24525 (note this is a referral link, any money made referring will be put into buying hashes for kano) Non ref link miningrigrentals.com

Ok so I deposited some money on NH I was going to send some extra power to this pool, I can't get it to work though, NH can't seem to connect to this pool on any port. Is there a reason for this?
Several months ago (last year?) when the pool was last this size a lot of it was rental and it turned out a large percentage of that rental hash was either maliciously or unintentionally returning very low quality hash results. Ergo all rental has since been banned from here. I figured it out. I'm renting 1.3ph for 12 hours and pointing here. We've been through the crappy hash that comes from NH & WH before. I for one would prefer that you don't use it here on the Kano pool. Kano has said he is blocking all rental hash so if you found a way to bypass it I'm sure he will have something to say about it one way or another. I'll be more than happy to tell him what I'm doing if he inquires. Not trying to cause any problems, just figured the more hash the better. Should shorten my ramp up time for my normal hash rate as well. Not using NH or WH though Interesting...it seemed when you posted "I deposited some money on NH I was going to send some extra power to this pool" that it was NH. Rented hash just about killed this pool not too long ago. I even had a routine where I rented about 200TH and rolled the payouts back in continuously. I lost money over time and gave it up. It was nicehash originally but it didn't work. I found a different rental service that was compatible. So I xfered my money to x site and started hashing!
