8161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Socially, a great social network. on: February 25, 2013, 09:44:40 AM
As much as I hate social networks sometimes this isn't a bad idea considering how new Bitcoin is, is it going to be decentralised so we don't have government numpties coming along to take it down?

Anyone who actually has a decent set of eyes will tell you that snow flake isn't perfect.

What happens to gold price if interest goes up, does it drop?

I doubt the interest rates will effect very much what we need to keep an eye on is the borrowing and the printing because that is what causes inflation in the long run, this bit of news with the UK being downgraded and so on may explain the rise the BTC/GPB had recently Cheesy

Evangelical Bitcoiners, please don't annoy everyone, I like Bitcoin a lot but I'm not going to go rambling on about it to every single person I see, we have enough spam to deal with without getting "Have you heard of Bitcoin?" messages spammed in the inbox every day.

I f   I   r e c i e v e   a   s p a m   e m a i l   I   w i l l   k i l l   y o u    a n d    u s e    y o u r   c o r p s e   a s   a    f o o t   s t o o l   a n d    y o u r    c o m p u t e r     f o r    a   t o i l e t

Just hope that makes it clear Tongue we don't need to spam people for them to know about Bitcoins guys, people will come to us.

Germany aren't successful because the morons in charge there have decided that the EU is a fantastic thing and they must support it even if it means taxing everyone to pay for the damn thing, who do you think paid for the bailouts for Greece, Italy and Spain? The UK and France? HAH! They're one of the only producers in the world right now and they're being leached off by the rest of us like with China.

Capitalism is private ownership of means of production. It's unfair because initial distribution of wealth is unfair.

You sound like a lot of these equality groups I see around that only want things to be 'fair' or 'equal' for them rather than for everyone else, sorry but your definition of 'unfair' or 'fair' is favouritism and you just seem to be annoyed that the other guys have what you don't.

Avoid survey sites and the like no matter how tempting it might seem, they're pretty much designed to data farm email addresses, I know that because it's a start up Bitcoin does have some legitimate sites to get Bitcoins but some of them have me suspicious all the same, once they get your information they'll sell it off to spammers or do whatever else they like with it.

People need to stop voting and focus their energy on more productive things.

I called up the Peter Schiff Show a couple of weeks ago and made a Bitcoin pitch.
He's still not convinced. Maybe others here can call his show and try to get him on board.

Peter Schiff is a pretty hardcore gold bug but I'm sure a practical demonstration would give him an idea of what Bitcoin is about, trouble is a lot of us won't understand the complex math behind Bitcoin so naturally it would seem a bit suspicious to most since they won't know how it works, it's a bit like how very few people trust the financial sector etc. because they've invented words for things to cover up what they actually do.

8170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you invest $1 million into Bitcoin? on: February 24, 2013, 07:22:35 AM
I'd fund a decentralised stock exchange that would be even more difficult to take down than piratebay Cheesy
8171  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Free Market Fascism on: February 24, 2013, 07:20:07 AM
What people forget about this whole class thing is a lot of the people in 'upper' classes for example couldn't really exist in the way they live because it's the government that gives them special treatment, they get monopolies, they get tax breaks and they get treated differently in courts and so on. I know there are a lot of Ron Paul fanbois on this forum but I give him one thing, he described our economies perfectly, we don't live in a free market, we live in corporatist society and that's where it's different groups getting preferential treatment over anyone else, that doesn't just limit to corporations though but pressure groups and religious groups as well.

Why do you think there are two mainstream parties that are never booted out of the country for the shit they pull? They grant special favours to the groups that support them, my personal favourite examples are here in Britain where you have labour having the support of unions, equality pressure groups and so on and then the conservatives who have the support of the religious and of course the upper classes etc. they just love to divide people and because the normal people who just go about their day don't give a shit it's a never ending cycle of disappointment after disappointment.

In this society if you aren't in a group, no one gives a shit about you and if you disagree with them you're the enemy, even if they don't treat you like that openly.

We have an ignore list for a reason, ignore the trolls and they go away because they're annoying little friendless attention whores.

ironcross360 if you want to sell something on here be sure to provide as much detail as you can about the thing your saying, post photos out and so on, if you bought it from somewhere else show people the website so they won't think it's just a scam, I'm going to be making Jewellery to sell and I've told them where I get my materials from.

8175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tax legal question UK on: February 22, 2013, 10:16:17 PM
I'd like to know this as well because I'm in the UK and they don't seem to have said much about Bitcoin yet so it makes things pretty awkward for me tax wise too, if I do start getting a lot of Bitcoins it will be handy to know about this sort of thing.
8176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcointalk Trolls on: February 22, 2013, 10:10:52 PM
Honestly I think trolls are nothing to worry about as long as you have an ignore/block function, they're only a bother on those stupid forums where there isn't any such thing, like with house phones in real life too.

8179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YOUTUBE IS SO STUPID on: February 22, 2013, 03:59:35 PM
Adblock isn't working for these new popups anymore unfortunately.
