421  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: February 24, 2017, 09:25:39 AM
This thread was started by a guy who has not been active here now for over 18 months.
But I think as long as people are still writing here, it's a goof proof for the fact that bitcoin is not dead at all.
The community gives a statement exactly by writing into threads like this one that bitcoin right now is more alive than ever.
422  Other / Archival / Re: Earning "free" bitcoins on: February 24, 2017, 09:21:38 AM
Get a job and buy Bitcoins. Simple as that.
This  is the most simple guide and I do not know why there are still many people keep desperate about have no ability to earn Bitcoin. You can easily find a job in the physical world and use your salary to buy Bitcoin. There are likely a thousand places and people for you to convert you Fiat into whatever cryptos you like
I can only agree to that. Work a job and buy coins from the money you get there.
All those mini and micro jobs that are offered in the internet, they are all not worth it.
Either the amount you get payed is ridiculous, or you harm your computer. There is an angle everywhere.
Signature campaigns are the only exception I am aware of, but there it's more like working for your coins in the way of writing quality posts.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I transfer my cash without leaving a trace? on: February 23, 2017, 08:48:45 AM
The moment money goes off or on a bank account, it is always traceable.
The only way to keep it completely off the records would be to do it all in cash.
But cash transactions have their negative sides as well.
424  Economy / Speculation / Re: is 2017 the new 2013? on: February 23, 2017, 08:45:56 AM
For the last two months bitcoin price has been dancing somewhere in the 1000 range.
I do not see that this is an overheated market like in 2013.
That bubble exploded within days there was no boouncing up and down over months.
At the moment, even if bitcoin falls again a little bit, you always find very soon people who consider the new lowered price as cheap.
That means the demand is really there, not a speculation. I say the developement is solid.
425  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it profitable to run a Bitcoin faucet in 2017 on: February 23, 2017, 08:40:33 AM
yes if the rewards is higher than every other faucet sites, you can also promote your faucet site like some weekly raffles to users , I myself sometimes visiting faucets with high rewards or having some jackpot bonuses to users it will attract more visitors.
one people that makes users happy to visit a faucet site because the faucet is have a great reward and a simple design and minimalist. so do not put too much ads if you want to get a lot of users

The hardest part, to make your own faucet, is to invastigate a lot of resources on advertising. To build a new faucet that's not a big deal , the most difficult side of that work is to promote and bring people to your site.
I think the hardest thing in running a faucet is to keep the bots out.
Bots steal your money and they create bad traffic. That reduces your already low income from ads, because nearly nobody wants to pay for bad traffic.
In my eyes faucets are a failed experiment.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We will never be able to convince them with argument. Fork now. on: February 23, 2017, 08:34:34 AM
I think forking bitcoin would be a global extinction event for all crypto currencies.
The amount of people that this would scare away could not be regained in years.
And by that time economy has lost its interest in bitcoin everywhere.
Because bitcoin is the main currency the altcoins are traded against, it would drag them down with it.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we ReBrand Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2017, 04:20:59 PM
Why would we rebrand bitcoin?
It's finally known to a few millions of people, and the reportings in the media have turned from negative to neutral.
All that hard work that has been done till today to get bitcoin into peoples minds would be in vain.
Besides, rebranding something always creates doubts, and that is something bitcoin does not need.
428  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: get up to 1200 satoshi in one hour on: February 16, 2017, 04:12:38 PM
This faucet is really simple and clean.
At the moment the rates are 60 sat with 96% and 100 sat at 4% chance, claimable every five minutes.
One captcha has to be solved, that's it.
The faucet is liquid and the satoshis go to epay.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: February 16, 2017, 04:02:49 PM
Using multiple wallets will not improve the protection you have over those bitcoins. You would even have higher risks having more wallets than just one.
You are just contradicting what many bitcoiners have been doing so far. Different wallet each with some 2 to 5 bitcoins and different password with multiple back copy in different geo location would be the idea I will follow to protect 100 bitcoins if I will be having. Splitting into multiple addresses and wallet will reduce the risk as far as I understand.

I must agree as well that many wallets are better for storing big amounts.
Of course the risk is higher that one gets compromised, but I think it's easier to live with a loss of a few percent than losing everything.
Paper wallets seem to be the most secure wallet from all I have heared.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy back up! on: February 16, 2017, 03:56:01 PM
China no longer has real impacts on Bitcoin -- we growing too big.  Kiss

The interesting part is that the Chinese exchanges are no longer leading the price as it was the case before few weeks
Now the price is $1020 +/-10 in the western exchanges meanwhile sub $1k in the Chinese
Buying now could be a loss in the beginning but in the long term it is a good investment

i don't think that this time is a good time to buy back because the price is go expensive for me and for small trader, maybe if we only buy in small amount, i am sure that we can but to make middle until big amount, i don't think it will be done for only doing one or two trading. maybe we need to wait for a moment and if there is a down trend, then i think it will be a good time to buy back.

It's always the same problem with buying... maybe the time is right, maybe not.
Nobody can foresee the future. And bitcoin is still a risky investment.
I would say it's always the right time to buy, the amount is the tricky thing to find out.
431  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN ATM MACHINES on: February 16, 2017, 03:49:45 PM
a bitcoin atm machine would be cool.   plug in your USB stick that contains your wallet.dat, and withdrawal the amount of Cash you need.
Yes it is good, unfortunately there are not many bitcoin ATM machine around the world
should there are developer whom be serious building projects of ATM machine,
although it will taking much time because not all of the people who know and use bitcoin
on their life.
I agree so. I am glad that I live in the area which accepts Bitcoin and some people have already developed the Bitcoin ATM in a small pizza restaurant. The machine works fast and absolutely astonishing. However, there is still a problem: I have to wait for about 15' to 20' before I can receive my funds because the ATM need to connect to the blockchain and wait for my Bitcoin to be confirmed
You are lucky man and I have good news if you or other people who want make business on bitcoin ATM please check this link https://news.bitcoin.com/start-bitcoin-atm-business/
actually I am interested with this business although there are not people who use bitcoin,
unfortunately I don't have enough capital for building this business.
I had an bitcoinatm not too far away from me, and it closed...
Unfortunatelly not every country is as far developed in things of bitcoin than Switzerland is.
The ATM in my region was closed because nobody used it. What a shame.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still use Bitcoin if price would be stable for years? on: February 16, 2017, 03:39:23 PM
I think most users are involved in Bitcoin not because they belief in the technology, but because they hope the price will go thru the roof. So let us say the price would be at $900 for the next 50 years.
Would you still use and buy Bitcoin or would you leave?

That's the trader's mind. Honestly, we have still the other way to trade behind using bitcoin for the general trade. I will still use it because there are a lot of the sources to trade. I will never leave it.
A lot of the bitcoin's advantage have helped me a lot.

Also because since we are holding our bitcoin for a very long time and waiting until its price goes up to something that it never hit before, that is why we are hoping that bitcoins price would fluctuate always in a good price, why? because of only one thing, to have PROFIT from it, not just profit, a huge PROFIT, for our patience to earn.

But still, even though its price would just be stable for years in $900, I would still use it, $900 per bitcoin is not that bad compare to its price before, it is better to have something than to have nothing at all.

I think there is more to bitcoin than just the possibility of a dramatic price increase.
Anonymity is a big factor for many people. Or the possibility to send money without having a bank account.
So for me there would still be reason to use bitcoin even if it is stable.
Besides, a stable currency is better than one that loses in value.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Main Currency on: February 13, 2017, 08:23:58 PM
It is clear that bitcoin is only the online currency and good for investment but making as main currency then i think still their is lot of time to declare it as fiat currency influence is too high.
Bitcoin beats its competitors because of the community size it has. If it was smaller than another crypto's community, it is not unlikely that other crypto would take the position of the "best" or "only" crypto to do online business with or whatever.

Fiat will always have influence as long as it is impossible to buy everything with bitcoin.

Of course bitcoin has the biggest community compared to all other crypto currencies.
But compared to the fiat currencies, the community is very, very small.
Even under the best circumstances bitcoin won't be able to play in one league with the big fiats.
Or maybe my imagination is just not big enough.
434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the price of bitcoin still skyrocket on: February 10, 2017, 07:18:01 PM
Personally I would not like that, since it is very likely we will not hear good things about bitcoin from the Chinese government and if china went ahead and created a campaign to denounce bitcoin we could see the price losing value very sharply.
Don't you see bitcoin is being used and adopted by rest of world ?
China may dominate bitcoins but only some certain level. There would be a limit which could not be breached by one group of people nor government due to the fact that bitcoin is omnipresent.

Sharp down fall is the thing I do foresee may not happen like what we encounter when mtgox collapsed. But there are many such exchanges and every other things has an alternate or substituent so we are never going to face any sharp down fall.

Only skyrocketing would be possible in upcoming days.
I think that bitcoin can have a very high price, but the same thing always happens, and make bitcoin prices fall back. Well, this is the same as it did in 2013. The people think that bitcoin is dead, and will not have a high price. but, ketka price back up, people back speculated that bitcoin prices will rise higher. I think, this is the same situation. so, bitcoin prices will remain high.

I don't think the situation now can be compared to 2013.
At that time a lot of coins were lost. Now every coin is still where it belongs.
China will put on some regulation on exchanges, but to me that is just something that makes bitcoin as a currency more secure.
So to me it is absolutely clear that bitcoin will rise, in acceptance, popularity and price as well.
435  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: February 10, 2017, 07:13:22 PM
A scam is a scam.
No matter in what level you enter it, somebody always has to pay.
And even if I would be one of the lucky few who would make profit, many other people would have to pay for that.
That's why I would never join such a thing.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should governments allow people to pay their taxes in Bitcoin BTC? on: February 10, 2017, 07:10:34 PM
I do not think this is going to happen.
But if a government would really do so, I would appreciate it.
The important thing would be that a government recognizes bitcoin as a legit way to make a payment. Even to the authorities.
This could give bitcoin big support in that country.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM and Dubai Government initiate blockchain logistics initiative on: February 08, 2017, 03:50:14 PM
It's nice to see that the world adopts more and more blockchain technology.
Although news like this do not involve bitcoin directly, I think that bitcoin can still profit from them.
Bitcoin is based on blockchain technology as well, so every positive news about it may help to improve the reputation of bitcoin in the public opinion.
438  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [live] FAUCET DICE coming again 50 satoshi per 20 minute payout via faucethub on: February 08, 2017, 03:44:35 PM
I just took a look at this 'faucet', but nothing seems to work.
Instead of ads there are just rectangles with their dimensions.
The captha is not visible as well. The only thing that works is the countdown.
So claiming is impossible.
439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin trap more new user in coming years on: February 08, 2017, 03:33:13 PM
I think it all depends on what way bitcoin evolves.
If the transaction fees increase, I don't think many new members can be won.
Everybody starts small in the beginning. And when new users have to spend a big part of the amount they want to transact for fees, I highly doubt they will do that often.
Transactions with bitcoins have to stay cheap and fast, otherwise people will stop using it. And that would be kind of... bad.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: February 08, 2017, 03:28:47 PM
I have not used bitcoin for direct payments, because in my country rarely accept bitcoin. But I think if bitcoin used as direct payments it is going to take a few minutes to confirm the payment, it is better to use a fiat because it does not require the process. Bitcoin is less suitable I think if it is used for direct payments that need development again to be used for direct payments, but for online payments bitcoin very superior because it would be more efficient.
I like to share an app in my country which is coin.ph . In coin.ph you can use bitcoin , you can convert it pay bills, use it as a load or even buy thing online as you convert it to money Smiley . In this app you can use your bitcoins in many different way. Even if you can't use bitcoin directly , you can use it in many different ways. If you like to consider trading it can do , or even investing in some teams to earn more.
Well it is only applicable to your country. Obviously if you are in a different country all of it will be useless because they will have a different provider, a different way to pay bills in other words they have a different system that your local wallet does not have any authority with. Not unless the app is a multinational compatible app it will be useless to the user.

I think that apps like coins.ph are a useful thing, even if they just work mainly in one nation.
The Philippines for example are not a rich country, but most of their people have a smartphone and the population is over 100 millions.
Instead of using an expensive service like western union they now can use that app.
That helps the bitcoin community to grow and the people there to save money.
