701  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC wallet with interest? on: August 07, 2016, 06:49:12 PM
I can not see how that should work. If the coins are on a wallet, only the wallet owner can use them.
How should a company offer interests when they can't wotk with the coins?
A btc company that offers interests must work with the coins they have (like a bank). That way the coins are not save.
So they offer some kind of investment, and that sounds a little bit like a cloud mining company to me.
I really do not trust those.
702  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: August 05, 2016, 01:42:22 PM
Nobody can give you a guarantee that the price will rise.
And if you accidentally send it to a wrong address, well, gone is gone then.
So, if you buy bitcoins, use just as much money as you can afford to lose.
If you can afford it, I would buy now. Because, if that recent hack could not drag the btc price down, what will?
The eth/etc fork effects are slowly fading away as well.
This makes the environment on the crypto market more predictable again, and will at least stabilize the price or even rise it.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Bitfinex Hacked] So , learned the lesson ? on: August 05, 2016, 01:31:59 PM
Of course, keeping the coins at the exchanges is a very risky thing.
But a trader has to have the ability to react fast on the market. Especially here with crypto coins.
If he gets his deposits after half an hour or even later, the chance of trading successfully is often gone.
It's kind of a dilemma I think.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Bitfinex Hacked] So , learned the lesson ? on: August 03, 2016, 08:22:52 AM
Might be a stupid question:
Would it bring more safety if withdrawls on exchanges would be only possible to addresses the user gives his ok to in advance?
Maybe one when he registers, and others only after a certain time period? Let's say a week after the address is applyed at an exchange?
705  Economy / Speculation / Re: 350 USD in August on: August 03, 2016, 08:16:44 AM
In my opinion it is mostly due to bitfinex hack, panic is the main motivation behind this fall of price. It will correct to its previous levels in a few days.

I think it depends much on the media and picture they will be drawing of bitcoin.
Since this was not the first hack of an exchange, and the DAO attack is not that long ago, I can imagine that there will be a big image damage.
And that would scare people away from bitcoin. For a longer period.
706  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investing on: August 03, 2016, 07:16:14 AM
In your position I would wait a while until the dust has settled.
I can not recommend anybody to buy coins under this circumstances if he does not exactly know what he is doing.
Personally I converted a good part of my coins back into fiat yesterday, because I am expecting a bigger drop in btc price.
But I will reinvest later this year.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is fundamentally broken and unviable in current form on: August 03, 2016, 07:02:48 AM
I don't think like that, bitcoin is has strong fundamentaly we can see it is still survive  until right now. The problem today is just bitcoin had be lost from the online wallet and not on bitcoin its self. Losing bitcoin  is not first time  but it is still survive.

Yeah, bitcoin will surely survive the decades. Because the Foundation is very strong bitcoin system or so it will be very difficult to be destroyed by its competitors, often happens does indeed lose bitcoin * theft * that's not caused by system security system provider but bitcoin wallet bitcoin inadequate.

Of course, bitcoin will survive.
But for the next few months it will have problems.
I do not think that the community can grow much in the near future because the media will draw a very bad picture of bitcoin.
It will take time until that impression will leave the heads of the people.
708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Keep drop over 7.7% today... from 8 days ago on: August 03, 2016, 06:43:07 AM
All those natural fluctuation theories here are obsolet at the moment, because nobody expected the bitfinex hack.
This is going to follow us for a very long time, and drag the price back to about 300$.
If it is as bad as some people say.

Bitfinex got hacked is one thing, I think if a relatively low amounts of coins are stolen, then the price will move up again. But if it turns out that perhaps tens of thousands of coins are stolen, then prepare yourself for $3XX prices again. But then again, that's assuming Bitfinex is honestly communicating to the outside world. They can also just say; Hey! We lost like 500BTC, but everything is fixed now! While in fact they lost much more coins due to a hack. We don't know that.

From all I have read so far the amount is much larger.
About 120000 coins were stolen the media write. Ouch!
That would be about the same level than the DAO attack.
it will really affect the btc price just in one day dump the price will go down immediately we can't stop this to happen but im sure it will bounce back bitcoin already been there and bounce back in a few months it will recover for sure.

I am afraid, but I think that will happen.
The major media have not picked up that news yet, but they will during the day.
I am really not looking forward to what will happen then to the bitcoin price.
709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins new trend on: August 02, 2016, 07:01:06 AM
ETC and ETH grabbed investors attention, i guess the rest just move thier money to ETH derivative seeing as these are much better currency and that no one as of now is simply claiming they are scam.

BTC market share is 81% like always, so it's safe to assume that BTC is dumped for fiat. The only question is why?

Even there the explanation could be the eth/etc investors.
Eth and Etc are second and third by market capitalization.
Maybe the volatility of those two coins at the moment scares btc investors away becaus btc is a crypto currency as well.
710  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins new trend on: August 01, 2016, 03:03:25 PM
Bitcoin is cryptocurrency and volatility lies in their nature.
Therefore a few percent up or down are nothing special. It's simply the way bitcoins are.
Of cours if it happenes for a longer period, even small steps down could cause some crazy reactions on traders side.
But at the moment I do not worry.

711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyrpto vs Fiat on: August 01, 2016, 02:57:46 PM
Of course I use much more fiat than bitcoins.
Cash and coins have the advantage of being relatively anonymous.
But everybody needs a bank account, at least where I live.
I would say that fiat is necessary, and bitcoin luxury.
712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell BTC anonymously on: July 31, 2016, 02:51:33 PM
The only really anonymous way of selling it is for cash I think.
As soon as there is a bank account or paypal involved, they have your Id and you have lost any anonymity.
713  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Claim 150 satoshi every 1 minute and 40% ref commission on: July 31, 2016, 02:49:51 PM
There are really some aggressive adds working on your site.
I decided to leave very soon again, so I can not tell if there is any payout.
714  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Blue-Faucet.com] Up to 900 satoshi every 120 minutes. on: July 31, 2016, 02:31:47 PM
"This faucet exceeded it's safety limits!"

So sad to read that here.
To me, this faucet is now scamming people. There is no reason to visit it anymore.
You let people work for you and do not pay them.
It went down from hero to zero.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: July 31, 2016, 07:17:49 AM
It always depends waht you understand by fast.
My last transaction took more than one hour to be confirmed. But I don't need it any quicker than that. So it was fast to me.
Of course, my last paypal transaction only took a few seconds. Compared to that, the bitcoin transaction could do quicker.
On the othere hand, a bank transaction takes a day. Much slower than bitcoin.
Everything a point of view.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Fork good or bad? on: July 29, 2016, 01:49:40 PM
The Ethereum fork could teach a lesson to bitcoin and other altcoin about the danger of the hard fork.

Any fork, at this point. We have seen every manner of fork, including salad forks coming out of the Ethereum camp. I think hard forks shouldn't be off the table, but should be limited to major technical issues that would otherwise 'break' the usability of the network.

I think that fork scared away a lot of regular bitcoin useres from the eth/etc currency who are not so much into all that technical stuff.
And as a payment method, it has probably ruined its chances to be accepted like bitcoin already is for a very long time.
Nope, I do not think that the fork was good for Ethereum.
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin get the ability to implement reversible transactions? on: July 27, 2016, 08:57:13 AM
Implementing reversable transactions, would this mean that there had to be a hard fork?
If so, and if I look at the situatuion that is going on with ether at the moment, that would be one reason more never to implement such a thing.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Control the Future Value of Bitcoin on: July 27, 2016, 08:53:21 AM
You have only mentioned that people need to hold the bitcoins and if they will jsut hold their bitcoins, there will be no transactions and once there are no transactions, there will be no demand  created.

Such cooperation of everbody holding and no one spending/selling so there are no transactions anymore is never going to happen. Afterall people have different reasons why they own Bitcoin and when they spend/sell it.

Transactions are needed to create bitcoins during the mining process, right?
How could new coins be created if no transactions are made?
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Banks are researching the usage of private Block Chains, and not Ethereum's on: July 27, 2016, 08:45:04 AM
This might look like a basic question and I'm sorry I have to ask, but it really is not clear to me:
What use do banks have from an own blockchain? They have their centralized servers, isn't that a better solution for them?
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth Classic opened the way for Bitcoin Classic fork on: July 27, 2016, 07:45:37 AM
I really do not think that forking bitcoin is a good idea.
Eth is something for people who already know a lot about the crypto world. And those are not many.
And even most of those do not know exactly what they should think of this whole fork situation.
What would happen if something like that happened to bitcoin?
I think the average user would leave the project. And most likely never come back.
