Zecminer64.exe = virus?
Kaspersky said...
Any ideas?
I don't trust Kaspersky but neither Zecminer64.exe seems legit, why not to check it with other antivirus ? or even with malwarebytes ? Is there any chance to make miner mine on two pools like Claymore takes his DEV fee by mining for himself ? I mean to make miner mine like 3 minutes every hour for other worker ?

after updating to V8 since the release day only three rigs out of 84 has the problem Watchdog: GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit and after that Reset control for GPU 0 ... and miner stops and hangs the PC in V7 there wasn't a problem like this any solutions ? Use -wd 0 When that GPU dies, you need to manually restart computer before re-running the miner. So far so good with -wd 0 also I wonder is it mandatory to set 16gb virtual memory ? No idea but most of us have like 500gb of free hard drive space so why not. That will be a huge issue for my, most of my SSDs are 16 and 32Gb.. One of three did the same hangs opencl call other two are working fine so far With -i4 each GPU uses like 1.5GB. so you need at least that amount of virtual memory. If you don't have enough virtual memory, the hashing will fail to start. The GPU 0 hang is something else. after setting wd to 0 I also did i to 0 too lets see what will happen

anyone messed with clock and memory on RX480 8G? Max I can get is 190/s on reference ones
GPU clock @1400 should push past 200 sol/s What are you using to change your gpu clock on your RX 480s? Each time I change mine with afterburner, it immediately freezes and i have to hard reboot. Any screenshots would be great! I use wattman tool it came with driver

Guys, can you tell me what is the average life of a rig which is on 24/7? Some of my fans are dead after 3 months, so it is clear that they will be all dead in 2 years tops. But what about the psu's, mobos and video cards? Can I expect them to work 3 or 4 years with the Claymore miners? I am asking this because if the profits drop again (like 0.20$ per day for 280x before the Zec launch), I will not be able to return my investment in near future.
I think it mostly depends on environment, dust and temperature. In my case in 4 month period I burned down only one ref RX480 out of 270, fans working great, a bit dusty inside but cleaning them regularly expands the lifetime How long have you had your 480's? From the beginning of August

Anyone know if it's possible to run the binary in Ubuntu (with say, WINE)?
That would be a terrible idea. You will have to wait until Claymore releases a Linux version or dual boot Windows. Bummer. I'd personally love a Linux version to be able to make Docker containers and easily manage the machines. But okay. Is a linux version something we can expect, or is it not really on the priority list? No zec miner for linux and nvidia cards as far as I know

Dear Claymore
I tried restarting miners via remote manager and instead of restarting they just shut down, is it a bug or am I doing something wrong ?
I use remote manager with no issues.. how's your setup? usual, no port change, nothing specific 65 ZEC rigs and on every rig the same, I use view miner console and config edit also they work great. On ETH rigs everything working fine
