241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Delays in transaction -ETH and ERC20 on: July 04, 2018, 01:10:25 PM
If you have noticed then you will see the prices of Gwei has been risen a lot since week now. This is all because of the network congestion. Now at the time of your transaction the Gwei might have been set to default price of 41 Gwei but the actual required or safe Gwei might have been more than that. It means you paid less fees and thus your block will confirmed after very long period of time.

You can check the Gwei current prices, safe Gwei limit to set at the time of your transaction here : https://ethgasstation.info
242  Economy / Economics / Re: CME BTC Futures and its implication in BTC price on: July 04, 2018, 12:36:24 PM
snip

Bitcoin started to crash the same day the CME approved Bitcoin Futures. Check out a graph, everything started from this point. And I am pretty sure the decline we are seeing these weeks are due to the contracts ending this week
Are the contracts good or bad, I don't know, but I think it makes people considering Bitcoin more as an investment rather than a currency (and its advantages)

Yup that could be valid reason for the drastic movements in the bitcoin these days. The contracts are the reason primarily for the fall. But have you guys noticed that after a weeks period of ending the contracts the prices suddenly pumped up. Now the question is whether there is another reason for that or the CME people invested another bag for holding later on, or something else getting cooked up here. Sometimes we cant answer or predict everything in the crypto space and I dont like that much secrecy even when we are in decentralised space. Lolz. Lets hope CME wont come back again if they were the reason for the drop.
243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who believes in HODLING? on: July 04, 2018, 08:48:21 AM
I Cheesy

Who wouldn't believe the hodling if it can give you benefits after long terms holdings. It is sure thing that we get 1x 2x or even more than that if we give some time for the bitcoin or other coins to get some investors on board, let the whales make their moves and market reshape itself during this period.
Also I am now sure that these kind of things will always happen no matter what and we will get returns over our holding. Why do you think whales make such slow moves? Because they themselves know the benefits of holding. So why we shouldn't be following this by ourselves!
244  Economy / Economics / Re: WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN? on: July 04, 2018, 05:19:51 AM
So saw many self airdrops of ERC20 tokens and wave platforms in social media. They would promise their investors a cheap token price purchase, and in turn promise a good listing price at the exchange. 98% of these self airdrop never make it to exchange, and the few that get listed in a decentralized exchange get pumped for 2hrs and there after dumped forever. Why do you think people still patronize these scamming project and not study good ICOs and buy?

Laziness, dreams of getting quick rich these sort of things are there which calls for such idiotic steps and literally we cant do anything about it. There is no way to stop such actions made by people because they think its worth doing and easy until the time they gets failed about it. Later on there is no way they stop because they think at least in the next drop they might become lucky. To be frank they never become one and end up loosing everything. In the process the airdrop creator gets success in attracting more people to invest and spams later on.  Roll Eyes
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do businesses/vendors that accept crypto HODL or SELL? on: July 04, 2018, 04:14:32 AM
What do you think vendors who accept cryptocurrency as payment (for non crypto services - just your everyday coffee shops & retailers) do with the digital assets - HODL VS SELL? Its easy for traders and independent investors to hodl and stay put during the volatile times. But businesses have monthly expenses to upkeep id imagine it is very hard for them to stay operationally stable if their main source of revenue came from a highly volatile asset; 10 cups of coffee are worth 50$; the coffee is paid for in BTC, two days later the same BTC is only worth 30$ and they just lost 20$ on the sale, i could see this being very problematic in the efforts to increase the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency.

Though you have pointed out that problem over there but that doesnt mean its the last option. I mean to overcome the loss per sell they should be (ideally) holding their bitcoin assets or whatever crypto in which they got paid. This way they will be supporter of the crypto currency and market will be stable. If they dont like this kind of option then they are always free to sell their tokens immediately after they get it and make the sell right one. The only thing they will do this is attract more people to come and use the crypto currency.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Renoucing Ban on Crypto Ads on: July 03, 2018, 09:59:25 AM
This is good, and I believe will help fuel the next bull run. I do see the signs for a huge move, this good news for crypto just keep piling up, the last news will be a Btc etf announcement, can't wait for the ride up, these institutions sure are taking a long time to have their positions ready.

Come on the current bouncing is not because of the face booking lifting the bans from the crypto advertisement. I know there has to be some impact of that because it is big platform and big platforms calls for more and more attendees with them. But that is implied to the investment in the ICO's and bounties and thus it is al about the altcoins which are yet to be formed or listed over the exchangers.
However that is good news for those platforms. Its not related to the bitcoin itself and whatever moves it is taking right now.
247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO categories. Best investment. on: July 03, 2018, 08:45:11 AM
Thats just amazing study dude. I guess exchange ICO's are hottest in the list and I dont think that there are so less count of them? Only 4 ? I guess there are many more ICO's based on the exchange and recently this trend has also risen a lot.

They might be getting more success for one reason and thats they have their own market and most of the time exchangers get started with their services and thus utilising the token on high scale. This utilisation is what might be getting them more investors and more market volume for it. For example, BNB coin of Binance!
248  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go) on: July 03, 2018, 07:10:25 AM
Hi,
Let's suppose that Bitcoin became adopted everywhere such as paying bills with Bitcoin, getting salary with Bitcoin, shopping, restaurant etc...
How your country gonna survive if you only use Bitcoin in a daily basis? I mean a country cannot survive if individuals doesn't pay taxes, well with Bitcoin you don't pay any tax right?
How this gonna be possible? Please shed for me some light on this.
Thanks

Are you serious right now. That would be happiest dream or framework of reality! That will be the day when we will announce the digital world day! And also it can be very beneficial for us. You go anywhere in the world and you dont have to be hassling yourself for converting the currencies into the different world currencies. You can just buy and sell anything anywhere in their country, travel the same way as you would in your own country. Looks like everything can get settled very easily in the whole world, we can have easy life I guess.
249  Economy / Economics / Re: When the government forbids cryptocurrency on: July 03, 2018, 06:23:19 AM
Governments and their bans is problem of whole internet and globe itself. This is like most hot topic in the country and there is no real answer as to why government does such moves. Some says they are trying to protect the crypto investors from the fraud schemes, some says it comes down to the economic imbalance if crypto overgrows in the time, and rest of them says its all about the criminal activities that seeds out of the anonymity of the crypto currency. You see, there are multiple reasons behind this, either all of them true or some of them true but its finally in their hands and thinking on how to protect the nation.
250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The most interesting Bitcoin topic articles you ever had read? on: July 03, 2018, 05:36:23 AM
Most at the time when i read bitcoin topic related articles they lack of facts and analysis, i think more people would agree.
I would like to follow thread in Bitcointalk.org forum where members share only valuable, interesting content.

Be honest and add most interesting, valuable content you have found.
Any promotional and self interest posts will be deleted.

It might not be the most interesting, but my favorite "thread" on bitcointalk.org is Satoshi's post history.  Kiss Cool Cheesy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3;sa=showPosts;start=520

Wow man this thread is really nice one. I guess this is the only proof that we had satoshi over here and he founded this forum for real. I was login through his post history but really dont understand why he left the forum without saying anything to anyone.

Even its non-conclusive to say anything from his last post which he made on December 12, 2010, 06:22:33 PM, was related to some building off Dos stuff!

However, there are no further messages at all! How can he leave everything behind without saying anything. I mean what might have occurred to him and just got off the radar I would ask.

Pretty engaging thought.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no demand but the Alts Do! on: July 02, 2018, 05:09:36 PM
Since the 2 pumps the price of Bitcoin has gone sideways: NO DEMAND
Alts have increased in price!
Logic says Bitcoin is going down unless another whale pumps!

Looks like we have another scenario here. Bitcoin is actually pumping itself in complete positive ways. This was supposed to happen because its completely cyclic one! It was pretty well known that bitcoin will pump back to higher rates with its recovery process. There is still big ground to cover I know but with bitcoin things are always different and perfect one. You may say it has no demand but it is actually used more than the altcoins as it forms the basis of buying and selling over trading platforms.
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time for that Long? on: July 02, 2018, 04:20:24 PM
We dipped below 6k on the weekend. What do you guys think, is it a bottom this time and it is time for epic Long?

Personally I felt like it was the bottom at 8k at 7k and multiple times already at 6.7k and at 6.2k, so I am wary about calling it a bottom again just to see it drop another 500   Lips sealed

Look at the market now who thinks that we have already started up with the bull market. I mean Two days ago bitcoin got pumped with 10% price rise and then it got stabilised at that rate. Afterwards, today 5% more rise from that stable point. The total market is not hiked by 15% and I believe this is the bull run we have entered into. BUT, there always possibility of going down so lets just wait for another hike or time when we will reach the value of &K USD and more. That would be fun to see and as always I believe that we will be very much high before the end of Q3.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese investor loses $400,000,000 in Bitcoin on: July 02, 2018, 02:02:00 PM
Just because he had close to 100k Bitcoins in March doesn't automatically mean he bought them all in March. If he had bought at any point pre-December 2017 (all time high at that point was around ~$5k), he'd still have made at least ~$8 million dollars in profit by selling off 8k coins.

If nothing else, this scenario puts into perspective how well Bitcoin is doing despite the bear market. Same time last year, Bitcoin was trading for around ~$2k if I remember correctly.

This is pretty much the nice reply I have seen. I mean I can relate this to one fact that the investor might not have lost anything at all. What if he bought all those bitcoin at the rate of 500 bucks or may be at the rate of couple dollars back in years? With that rate of investment he might not even loose anything unless and until he sells his coins below the rates at which he bought the bitcoins. Just look closer, he will never loose anything until that point and all he has got right now is booming profits, thats all.
254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I buy Bitcoin in cash or deposit, without using credit cards? on: July 02, 2018, 01:22:02 PM
If I want to buy Bitcoin without using a credit card, how and where could I buy Bitcoin? Maybe there are web platforms, where you have to make a deposit to a walmart or something similar, to later have balance in an exchange and buy Bitcoin .....
Does anyone know how to buy Bitcoin in this way?.

You can buy Bitcoin with cash from various Bitcoin ATM over the world. And you ask for your Bitcoin get transferred (delivered) to any address you want, from an address you own (local wallet) to an exchange.

Or you can meet face to face sellers found via localbitcoins.com

I only see localbitcoin as an option because well the fact is Bitcoin ATM's are not so handy in every corner of the world.  Cheesy

I guess there is another unofficial source you can work with and thats the forum itself. You always trade your bitcoins with the people around forum who are offering different exchange rates as they want it. Its pretty simple to trade here with the help of escrow. Dont forget to make trade with escrow otherwise you may risk your money. Unlike on local bitcoin where they act as escrow themselves.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long will the bear market last? on: July 02, 2018, 01:07:02 PM
The bearish trend and a market correction price would last for about more than 18 months if we compare and based it on the market correction occurred during the 2013-2014 phenomenon where the the price correction fall below 30 percent from ATH like what we have this year where the ATH was 20k usd and fall below 7k this month. So it is better to prepare the worst and celebrate the sweet victory.

I dont see any significance in comparing the market with the events of 2013-14. The current market situation is not even close to what happened back then. The pries are different, the market cap is different and most importantly the investors base has grown largely this year due to the pump of 2017. This changes the fact that the current years bitcoin is different than what we saw previously. The bear trend is here because of the strict regulations, different hacking attempts, whales manipulation etc. I guess this bear will be over soon as these things clear up a bit.
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: when will BTC come back 20000 USD on: July 02, 2018, 12:19:24 PM
when will BTC come back 20000 USD

When people would actually focus on adoption and the technology instead of the freaking price every single time.

Yeah! The adoption and technology, those are the actual things we are looking for. But people will just say we need more investors, we need to pour more money and sort of thing. Thats also true but its not the only driving force. For investors (actual & technical) to jump into the bitcoin they need to see what bitcoin has to offer us! How we can benefit with this technology despite the fact that it can gives us loads of money back after keeping it for years in dusts and rusts! Currently bitcoin seems to have halted all its operations and there is no real thing going behind the scenes. Unless and until there happens no movement, there going to be no moon soon!
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many projects are dead? on: July 02, 2018, 11:48:01 AM

Currently on the coinmarketcap site only about 1590 projects compared to at times more than 1700 projects. They have left many projects without developers or scam projects. I personally invested in some of these projects and lost a lot of money like bitconect and centra. Do you trust the projects you are investing in and will keep them for a long time until they succeed or are they just looking for profit in the short term?

If the projects are within Top 100 then we can say that they are more trusted than the rest of the projects. I guess rest of the 1400 projects are really shit one or they should at least show the potential to grow in the future and try to enter into Top 100. If they are putting their end of the deal then obviously we are entering the correct market and we can have some more faith. To be honest this market doesnt need 1000+ projects. Most of them are shit, getting greedy fro the money and copy paste work etc. So just stick to the formula of Top 100!

260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The market is so positive (100% HODL) on: June 30, 2018, 09:25:58 AM
And here we go, there is another good news just coming from the market as it becomes totally green all the way up. I think there is something happening in this July for sure. As we are moving towards it the market started to become green already and believe that it will stay that way for long. I mean after all its been long time since when we jumped a lot with this pump.

As whole the market is always positive but it is just FUD'ers who make it look like bad, specifically the news channels and articles. So HODL always works because these news never last for long time.
