The Dortmund - Leverkusen game was a really awkward one. I didn't even give a chance for Dortmund to lose this game actually. But they didn't just lose. They got a very embarrassing result like 2-5 at the end of their home game. Dortmund are really an unstable and unpredictable team now. Their recent form was just great as they had a winning streak of three games. But suddenly, they got an enormous defeat. Even Leverkusen didn't see it coming.  

Barcelona proved why they were favoured against Atletico Madrid in this game. They defeated Atletico really superbly by a result like 4-2. It's been a while since I last saw Barcelona scoring this many goals in a game and I'm really happy to see it. Barcelona have always been known as the dominant team in nearly all of their league games and as a very good scorer team. It will take some time for Barcelona to go back to their old days of course but it is still enjoyable to watch them reaching a better level in time.

I'm curious about the Tottenham - Southampton game this week too. Tottenham have been performing really well since Conte came here. Their Premier League performance has been amazing till the Chelsea game. Maybe they lost that game in Stamford Bridge but this shouldn't cause them to be unhappy very much. They should focus on their coming games and Southampton are really tough to beat. They are an unpredictable team and they proved it against Manchester City not much time ago too. But I still think that Tottenham will win as long as they stay focused.

It was not highly expected for me to see Monaco winning this comfortable against Lyon yesterday. They finished their job already in the first half by scoring both goals. Ben Yedder had a great day by scoring a goal and making an assist. I was expecting Lyon to play more competitive and actually they found so many chances too. They got 19 shots and 5 of them were on goal too. But none of these resulted in even one goal. Monaco still maintained their great performance in their home games.

It is a really easy week for Real Madrid surely. Granada are a team that are not even close to Real Madrid in terms of quality and form. And the game is going to be played in Santiago Bernabeu which is another big advantage for Real Madrid. Maybe they don't have Karim Benzema because of thigh injury but this wouldn't stop them from winning this game. They wouldn't like to make a simple mistake here as the point difference with Sevilla is only four now.

I agree with the people who are thinking that Real Madrid are one of the biggest favourites in this season of the Champions League. But they are really unlucky also as they are going to have a matchup against PSG. I remember the fierce rivalry between Bayern Munich and PSG last season and PSG were the winner there. I'm curious about whether Real Madrid will experience the same thing too. This is one of their biggest chances for the title as their performance has been very solid. If they succeed in eliminating PSG, then they will be much closer to the title logically.

The epilogue today is going to be with the Fiorentina - Lazio game. Fiorentina would feel Vlahovic's absence here in this game deeply without a doubt. He was their main goal source before it was transferred by Juventus for 70 million euros in the recent transfer window. Now we will see if they will have big struggles about scoring against Lazio. Actually the other attackers and midfielders have still been really productive lately. So maybe they can fight hard against Lazio and win this game. But I still think that a draw would fit this game certainly.

We are going to see only the Burnley - Watford game today. And this can be a really competitive game at the same time. Watford seem to be an a little more credible team to me now. Their attacking power is bigger than Burnley and the only thing they need is a good game plan against Burnley. Because they are really an annoying team sometimes in their home games. Watford should take control of the game earlier and get a good advantage. Otherwise they could come across a big resistance.

Marseille just destroyed Angers yesterday in a home game by 5-2. And it was really epic that they turned the game around from a 0-2 disadvantage in the first half. They ended it by a 2-2 draw. And in the second half, Angers weren't able to do anything against them. Marseille got a spectacular performance that they didn't even let their opponent shoot for once. And A. Milik also had a great day as he made a hat-trick. He has 4 goals in total in the Ligue 1 so far and he scored three of them here.

As far as I can see, there is a really interesting game tonight between Utah Jazz and Brooklyn Nets. Both of the teams have had a really serious problem recently. Utah Jazz were doing quite well but they started a losing streak suddenly. They lost five times in a row until winning against Denver Nuggest last finally. And Nets' losing streak is still going on and it is six games now. They are also searching for a way out now and I think that they will be the winner this time. Maybe it is another tough game for them but they have no choice other than this to hinder the problem from growing more.

Athletic Bilbao move on in the Copa del Rey and they really deserved to defeat Real Madrid also. Real Madrid were far away from their usual performance. Maybe Benzema's absence also was a big factor about this but in the end they are out now. Betis also were really great yesterday. I wouldn't imagine that they would win like this against Real Sociedad. Something was not going on well for Real Sociedad and they were terrible in defense. And they couldn't even score one goal despite having many dangerous attacks. If Betis and Athletic Bilbao get a draw against each other in the semi finals, then it would be like an early final game I guess.

Barcelona have improved their lineup with Aubameyang two weeks before their Napoli game in the Europa League in Camp Nou. But he might need some time to adapt also. Barcelona will hope him to start playing decently before this game. Because Barcelona's situation is not very good in the La Liga and there is a chance for them not to qualify for the Champions League. Considering that, they might need to get themselves secured by winning the Europa League title as they would qualify for the Champions League group stage directly.

Whenever I thought that it could have been the end for Egypt, they still moved on in the tournament by eliminating their opponents one by one. That was what happened yesterday too. Cameroon were the toughest opponent they had so far and I was not feeling positive about Egypt for this game. But they somehow managed to resist them in the first 90 minutes and extra time. And by the penalties, Egypt have eliminated Cameroon by 3-1. It is really like a dream for them now and I'm wondering what they will do against Senegal in the finale.

When it comes to Frank Lampard and Dele Alli, I believe that Lampard can really revive him. He had a really problematic period at Tottenham for a long time. And this caused his market value to drop down at an insane rate. He is still 25 now and he can get stronger than this in the future. But he will need time for this. And I hope that he and Lampard have a good relationship at Everton. This would make things easier than ever. Because Dele Alli's main problem was that none of the recent managers of Tottenham had a good relationship with him.

Robert Lewandowski is of course one of the greatest strikers now. He is getting older but his performance improves more in time. I think that he is better than last season now for example. He can break a new goal record in the Bundesliga if he goes on like that. Bayern Munich are really lucky to have him but he seems likely to leave this summer also I think. Actually it will depend on the offers for him. If he gets a really satisfying offer from another big club, then maybe he would make a change in his life from now on.

I agree that Roma are in a decent condition in the league right now. And they have still many games to go in this season. They still can qualify for even the Champions League by ending as the fourth team but it would be really difficult at the same time. The current fourth team in the standings are Atalanta now. And they are having another solid season also. Roma should be able to defeat Atalanta first of all and they are going to play home against Atalanta in one month. If they make it, then I would believe in Roma more to make it.

I have started seeing Nets' chance for being the champions lower than before from now on. Because there is a very visible drop in their performance and the losing streak is getting bigger by each one of their games recently. Nets weren't this bad actually but something is really odd about them these days. Whatever the problem is, they need to solve it before the playoffs. Otherwise, we might not even see them in the conference finals. And this would be a big disappointment for the Nets fans and people who have big expectations from them.

For the fourth place in the standings, I also think that Manchester United and Tottenham are bigger favourites. Above all else, Tottenham have more games missing than all of the teams in the race for this place. But they still are two points behind the fourth team which are Manchester United now. If Tottenham take advantage of this in the best way possible, then they can even have a decent gap with the others when they play their missing games. But honestly, I'd still like to see the Manchester team there at the end of the season.

We are in the semi finals and the first game of the round was played yesterday. Senegal were highly the favourite against Burkina Faso and they didn't surprise anyone by the result they got. In the game whose first half ended by 0-0, Senegal won by 3-1 comfortably and have reached the final round now. Sadio Mane was really fascinating by one goal and one assist. And today, there is a really tough game like Cameroon - Egypt. I wonder what Salah will do in this one. Will he be able to carry his team to the final or will it be the end for them? Cameroon is a really difficult competitor and I think that this could be the end for Egypt.

It was already speculated much time before like Pochettino would leave the team. And the disappointing defeat against Nice in the Coupe de France was a big hit to PSG. They would be the champions in the Ligue 1 easily though but this is not a very big achievement for them either. They are aiming the Champions League championship right now. And if they fail in doing this, then I think that PSG will definitely part ways with Pochettino. And then, their number one target might be Zidane.
