The start of the new game week is going to be with the Ajax - Willem II game tonight. Ajax are the leader of the league now but Feyenoord and PSV are right behind Ajax respectively. They would like to win this game and hope for their closest opponents to lose points this week. Willem II were one of the teams that made a great start. But they are on a terrible streak now. In this condition, I don't wait for them to be able to resist Ajax.

The game was really interesting even though Real Madrid won by 1-0. And you were right about Athletic Bilbao. Because maybe the first half was in favour of Real Madrid but everything changed in the second half. Real Madrid's dominance turned into an Athletic Bilbao dominance in the other half. Real Madrid had a really hard time securing the win. They had only 3 shots and none of them was on target. Athletic Bilbao got 12 shots but only 1 one of them was on target. Their clumsiness prevented them from maybe drawing with Real Madrid.

The rumours have started very early though. They newly reached an agreement with Ralf Rangnick as an interim manager. He will be the manager till the end of the season. Hence it seems very early to me to talk about the candidates this often. There are some candidates on the table obviously like Mancini, Zidane, Pochettino etc. . But maybe Manchester United will change their mind and continue with Rangnick as long as he becomes successful.

The next La Liga game is going to be played between Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. And Real Madrid are being favoured highly of course. Athletic Bilbao are not a team to be underestimated though. But it doesn't mean to me that they are good enough these days to be able to upset Real Madrid players. They have a bad streak lately and they might have some problems on focusing fully on this game. I'm expecting a close and competitive game but Real Madrid would be the winner at the end.

The Group B is really tense now. Liverpool have won all of their games so far and their position is very comfortable. The real competition is going on between Milan, Atletico Madrid and Porto. These teams all still have a chance to advance. The last games are: Milan v Liverpool, Porto v Atletico Madrid. I'm favoring Milan and Atletico in these games. Liverpool are already safe and they wouldn't make a big effort in this game I guess. Milan would benefit from this chance and defeat them. They made Liverpool big difficulties before too. And Atletico Madrid are powerful enough to defeat Porto. Maybe their previous game ended up with a 0-0 draw but I don't expect a similar thing to happen again.

I was sad for Newcastle yesterday because they missed another opportunity to win for the first time in this season of the league. It was a really amateur action from the Newcastle player that he was sent off in the 9th minute already. This caused the team to have big problems in the game. But still, they managed to score a goal first. But Norwich equalized the score in the last 10 minutes and it ended up with a draw. Newcastle are still without a win.

The big rivalry between Dortmund and Bayern Munich is still continuing. Bayern Munich are the leader by only one point gap. And we have a huge game between these teams in only four days in Signal Iduna Park. It is really hard to predict which team can win. But the most probable thing seems to be both teams to score.

Today, we have a game between Salernitana and Juventus. Juventus are experiencing a tough time in the Serie A this season. Lately, they have started making a bigger effort and getting better results. But they were disappointed again after the Atalanta loss. They will want to get a certain victory this time and I believe that they will get what they want.

It is a really nice signing for Aston Villa. Steven Gerrard is a Premier League legend as all people know this. Aston Villa have been through a really tough period of time in the Premier League in the recent times. They needed to take important actions to make things right. And this is definitely a good start. They are not a weak team normally and they deserve the better. I hope to see the team rising with the help of Gerrard.

Yes, it is not a derby game indeed. It is just one of the big rivalries in the Serie A. Lazio are much better than Juventus lately and they are even better in their home games. They have beaten two big teams home in the league in this season as far as I know. And Juventus can be the next target. Juventus are having a bad period of time as they are in the recovery phase. Maybe they are good in the CL but I can't say the same thing for this league. I think each team will score and Lazio will draw with Juventus at worst.

I agree. Ajax are already very comfortable in the Champions League as they have guaranteed promoting to the next round being the leader. They must focus on the Eredivisie from now on indeed. They are still capable of dominating the season again. While they were not focusing on their domestic league matches, PSV and Feyenoord got very close to Ajax in the table. It is time for Ajax to open the gap again.

It is good to have races three weeks in a row. We had the Mexico GP last weekend and we have the Brazil GP this weekend. And there is going to be another race next week too which is the Qatar GP. This is wonderful for us, the F1 lovers.    But it may not be very good mentally for the two drivers in the title race these days. Max Verstappen has opened the gap more now and it is 19 points. They both need to focus on every race remaining. We'll see if Hamilton will end in front of Verstappen this time. If he doesn't, his chance of winning the title will lessen and the chance of seeing a new champion will increase more.

In the last season, Inter and Milan were far better than the rest of their opponents and competed for winning the title for a long period of time. But at some point, Milan started performing really bad and the gap with Inter widened a lot. And Inter became the champions easily by a big gap. For this season, I wonder if we will witness a similar scenario. But I hope to see Napoli and Milan competing till the end.

I'm not sure about the Slovakia - Slovenia honestly. But I agree with the rest of your predictions. Russia are a far better team than Cyprus now and we can clearly see it when we look at the condition of their group also. Cyprus have no chance to promote. But Russia are the leader and there is still a probability for them to lose their lead. So they should be able to destroy their opponent in this game. And the Malta - Croatia game should be a piece of cake for Croatia.

In the round 5, Chelsea are going to host Juventus in Stamford Bridge. This will be an important game as it can determine the leader also. Juventus already won all of their group games so far and guaranteed qualifying for the next round too. Maybe Chelsea haven't guaranteed it mathematically yet but they are already 6 points ahead of Zenit. There must be a miracle for Zenit to get past Chelsea from now on.    In Stamford Bridge, I'm favoring Chelsea. I think it is revenge time.

I also don't think that Leverkusen will go very far in this tournament. It is even doubtful whether they are caring about this tournament either. But actually, I think that they must care about it this season. Because they are performing very poorly in the Bundesliga. If I were in their place, I would thrive for even winning the Europa League title. Because by doing this, they can join the Champions League groups directly too. It doesn't seem like they will be able to end at one of the top 4 places in the Bundesliga for now.

Napoli and Milan's domination in the Serie A is still continuing. Actually both of these teams lost points this week but not much thing changed for them. Because Milan played against Inter and it ended up with a 1-1 result. Both sides were capable of winning taking their efforts into account but it didn't end that way. Napoli drew with Verona with a 1-1 result home too. But Napoli and Milan are still 7 points ahead of their nearest competitor.

Sevilla are one of the very consistent teams as for the last years. And they are very good in this season too. They are at the fourth position by being 1 point behind the leader. They are one of the biggest candidates to end the season in top 4 also. And considering Barcelona's having a terrible season, this is a chance for Sevilla to end the season at the third position in the worst case.

Manchester City ended Manchester United in the derby last weekend but Ole hasn't still got sacked. I wonder what Manchester United aim to do by not doing this. Maybe they want to find a new manager before sacking him and I hope that it is the situation. Otherwise, a very problematic period of time awaits the team. Manchester United have a very tough fixture ahead. Maybe the Watford game is the easiest one but even it is going to be hard for them as long as they don't make a change.
