The price already hit record highs this year, it is okay for it to pause and coast for a bit. It will surely go up again after the soft fork, not immediately but surely by the years end. A much improved bitcoin can only be good for it's value.
It already hit the ATH since it was launched and that was this year. But everyone is expecting that bitcoin's price will be up again after this fork. Once everything was done successful new investors will be in and fund movers to alt coins will be back and they are going to make sure that they will have secured fund it bitcoin. It's good to know everyone is optimistic about bitcoin, we can surely see more price increase that will happen in the future.
