81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: July 11, 2020, 12:34:38 PM
Hi Piston, great to see you posting words of wisdom here  Grin

Many have that same view as yours and surprised what started out as nothing more than a prank between friends in 2013 somehow lasted this long. Having said that you have to accept whenever there was any publicity about DOGE it boosted the cause and the price went up in line with the interest generated via the media and curious crypto newbies.

Will it really last the course, I do not know but for now let us enjoy the first real meme joke crypto

LMAO really?HuhHuhHuh? what is this fucking 2014?Huh??

c'mon idiots do not fall for the usual 1 mini shit pump in YEARS for doge crap just because of a touch of news?  looooooooooooooooool

seeing this shit come alive is hilarious, even idiots on twitter all over it hahaha, trying to shill those bags to noobs....sigh.

this shit is dead so move on.

Just much butt hurt missing out on the pump lol let this shibe dish out his frustration  Grin

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HOWTO] compile altcoin for windows on linux using mxe and mingw on: July 05, 2020, 05:51:16 PM
Hello everyone,

I decided to revisit this and ended up discovering the build script for BerkeleyDB initially posted in this thread by the OP is quite incorrect.

Here is the correct syntax!

Code:
#!/bin/bash

## Path to MXE source
 MXE_PATH=/home/demon/dev/mxe
## Path for mingw headers
 MXE_INCLUDE=$MXE_PATH/usr/i686-w64-mingw32.static/include

## Path to db source
 db=db-6.1.26

## Make a clean working tree / Create working DIR
## You can also use `make distclean` within build_mxe to start fresh
 rm -rf ./$db/build_mxe
 mkdir -p ./$db/build_mxe

 cd ./$db/build_mxe

## Correct naming of header file
 sed -i "s/WinIoCtl.h/winioctl.h/g" ../src/dbinc/win_db.h

## Define CC and C++ compiler & user level commands
export CC=$MXE_PATH/usr/bin/i686-w64-mingw32.static-gcc
export CXX=$MXE_PATH/usr/bin/i686-w64-mingw32.static-g++
export AR=$MXE_PATH/usr/bin/i686-w64-mingw32.static-ar
export STRIP=$MXE_PATH/usr/bin/i686-w64-mingw32.static-strip
export RANLIB=$MXE_PATH/usr/bin/i686-w64-mingw32.static-ranlib

### Find mingw headers in non-standard directory
export CPPFLAGS=-I$MXE_INCLUDE

## Configure the build
 ../dist/configure \
     --build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu \
     --host=x86 \
     --disable-replication \
     --enable-cxx \
     --enable-mingw \
     --program-transform-name='s,.exe,,;s,\(.*\),\1.exe,' \
     --prefix=/home/demon/dev/mxe_db \
     --exec-prefix=/home/demon/dev/mxe_db

## Build DB and install it
 make -j(nproc); make -j(nproc) install

Pundy x announced that on July 21 all XWallet users should go through a KYC check, they wrote more about this on the blog
https://medium.com/pundix/compliance-kyc-on-xwallet-e20d45283d19

That sucks! Completing KYC just to use to the wallet? but I thought XWallet was a decentralized wallet wouldn't it become centralized if they start doing KYC?

The good thing is that they are allowing us till 21st July to withdraw the funds if you don't want to do KYC.

When governments are allowed to rule over us, we can never progress forward. KYC is another government hindrance from Crypto achieving more wide-spread adoption, and against the basic principles of cryptography, that is supposed to allow for PRIVACY in the transactions that are transacted over the  network.

Shame Angry

I think we would not have the widespread adoption without the support of the government, I understand that we are looking for complete privacy in using crypto and supporting it, but reality speaks, things will not progress without KYC.

We can either choose, no KYC or privacy but bitcoin and crypto will be stagnant, or the government would regulate, require us KYC and we will see more businesses to adopt with crypto. The thing is, when there's an endorsement or support by the government, that's when people are confident on investing or using it.

This is the exact thinking that sheeple have which reinforces the point I've made.

NPXS has not been doing well for a long time so it stands to reason at some point it will be dropped by large exchanges and Binance added it when there was a lot of positive news about Pundi X and when Binance had different rules for considering which coins and tokens to list.

Of course the price will sink, but prior to the listing into big exchange, NPXS was really doing well that's why they were voted and won as the community coin of the month and got listed in Binance for free. If BInance will delist NPXS, that would be a nightmare for investors who are still holding this coin.

Indeed, they arent doing well. They just got hyped, and never actually went anywhere. The only thing that might keep NPXS alive on Binance, is volume and/or the Dev team showing Binance they're legit project that back up what they're claiming to accomplish, and a strong community supporting it !
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: June 05, 2020, 03:24:13 PM
Sad to see Binance removing that pair but hopefully other markets especially BTC will remain very strong and keeping DOGE as a good potential investment for prospective crypto holders to add to their portfolio.
I will hold me Dogecoin until the end of this year. I have earned good profits with Dogecoin and time is matter to earn profit. In recent weeks, we have seen a trend of not too old altcoins and Dogecoin is one of the oldest altcoins so it might need more time to increase in value. After the current trend ends, I hope old altcoins will play their roles on the market.

In part I was a bit surprised by that de-listing being how much the community was gunning for binance to get dogecoin listed in the first place. Albeit on the other hand I dont' care too much for ETH, its tokens or having trading pairs with it, since it creates a secondary hurdle and more fees to convert from altcoins back to BTC, so I think in the long run this is better for Doge to be decoupled from any centralized networks like ETH.

Furthermore, as much as I love Doge, and every spawn of bitcoin that's kept close to the tradition of satoshi's principles. I have to say from a trading perspective, that I think it's hard pressed to say that any inflationary crypto has much chance for a higher value as it's supply keeps increasing. Only way that could be offset is with an increased demand.  That is just not apparent at this time.

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nucleus.Vision (NCASH) Hiden gem? on: April 20, 2020, 01:43:22 AM
THE NCASH/BTC pair has been de-listed on Binance ? Was there any news ?
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Cryptocurrency on: April 02, 2020, 12:17:30 PM
It might lose more value because recently they cancelled staking services for holding Pundixcoins, till now the coin is trading at 2 sats because many people have already staked their coins for getting function x tokens. Now recently they have closed the staking and soon this might dump even lower value easily.

[/quote

It was doomed from the moment they de-listed it from the BTC pair. Only a matter of time shitcoins like this will be phased out. Binance is just making what last profit they can from it till they let it go.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Cryptocurrency on: February 15, 2020, 01:38:16 PM
Nothing but doom and gloom for Pundi X now until it gets removed from Binance and then  - the end. The NPXS price has hovered between 1 and 2 sats for far too long. This project will not last much longer in such a highly competitive and volatile market.
I don't think it will be remove in Binance with its good volume right now, overall in 2 trading pairs, PundiX still has over $1 million daily trading volume.
Moreover, I am surprise that Upbit trading volume is good (so maybe upbit is back), well actually I am not using the exchange that's why I am surprise, but in total exchanges, it's trading volume is $6 million which is very good IMO.

IIRC, before PundiX was listed in Binance, it was actually doing well, but when it started trading the suppose further price increase that we are expecting, did not happen.

It was foolish of them to de-list the BTC/NPXS pair... It's like invalidating BTC by doing so.

Now they are at the CES2020, they will tell the world more about themselves and maybe someone will be interested
None interested with it and it seems like the price keeps plunged again to the bottom price. Look at the current chart and this coin has already kicked out from top 100 CMC. Zero value looks real for sure.
Some people may not say if this coin gets a dump but the market says different thing and when you are visiting binance and take a look at the how many sell orders that already placed by the long term holders.

Wait, have you invested in this coin? because if you have invested, you would still be optimistic despite of what you are seeing now.
It's rank 110 now (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pundi-x/) but if it pump it could rise back to top 100,, its not a problem for PundiX>
If this is a dead coin, probably Binance will delist it, but if not, expect a pump at least this year.

Binance would de-list it for insufficient trading volume and/or lack of project developments/communications, etc
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sprouts🌱(SPRTS) - Revival Cryptocurrency with Hardfork [PoW/PoS] on: January 04, 2020, 06:47:58 AM
Greetings, it would be better to keep the sprouts as it is with 15 trillion sprouts. At this point in time there is nothing to be gained by making the supply lower, we might as well just keep it as is, that way it stays fair for early investors. Also, who knows what could happen to the price even with 15 trillion. I mean these are not dollars were talkin' here.

It seems a lot of people have not noticed, with the Hard Fork in 2018 it was not only the staking reward that was reduced, but a coin burn method was built in which slowly reduces the total supply of Sprouts at no cost to the hodlers of SPRTS.
You can have a look at the block explorer at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/sprts/#@inflation. For a better view click "Last 100k blocks". As you can then see SPRTS is not inflating, but deflating.

For that explorer it states:

Hosting for this blockchain will expire on

2020-01-11 (in 6.7 days)
Hosting can be extended by a contribution of 8.90€ per month

In regards to the coin deflating, what is the target coin supply ? from what I'm seeing:

Code:
src/main.h:static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 2000000000 * COIN;
src/main.h:static const int64 MAX_MONEY_2 = 40000000000 * COIN;

  2,000,000,000 SPRTS
40,000,000,000 SPRTS

Is it 2 or 40 bn ? 40 bn would be an INCREASE/INFLATION  Huh

MAX_MONEY_2 seems to be the amount set for after the fork

Code:
{
    unsigned int forktime = fTestNet ? FORK_TIME_V06_TESTNET : FORK_TIME_V06;
    return (nValue >= 0 && nValue <= (GetAdjustedTime() > forktime ? MAX_MONEY_2 : MAX_MONEY));
}

Also don't compare a tech with its market performance, most of the other projects in crypto that are shitcoins/scams in history made a lot of people rich.  Stratis is a legitimate project that needs time for the realization of its innovations and potential massive business/economic impact.

This will happen when ppl stop focusing on scams and get rich quick schemes, turning around and supporting the real projects out there.
