6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction confirmed within 20 minutes on: May 25, 2017, 04:19:11 PM
OK with all the posts about transactions fees and transaction holds etc .. thought I'd post my experience ..

I have just transferred 2 Bitcoin from my Kraken trading account to my blockchain wallet ... cost of transaction: 0.0005 bitcoin so actual coins received in wallet 1.9995 ... 4 confirmations received within 20 minutes (19 minutes to be exact)

Personally I was expecting maybe a day for the transaction to be completed lol (especially with all the scary posts on the forum) so 20 minutes was pleasantly surprising.

The problem isn't here.

No one ever said that btc was not great for those kind of transactions... But you pais 0.5mbtc so around 1.5$ at current rate.
Of course if you send 2 btc (so arounf 5000$) it's nothing!
But people are complaining because they want to do transactions of 20$ or something like this, and at this moment anyone wanting to do this must pay 5% of the amount sent in fees. And THAT is something that people don't really like ^^

Hey!

I'm greatly interested but I'm not sure about the spreadsheet, is there still room in this campaign? Smiley

A campaign paying in both btc and alt is really cool and unexpected!
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RANSOMWARE impact on: May 16, 2017, 12:26:57 PM
I think the bitcoin will fall because of RANSOMWARE,it is impossible/Difficult to track who did this and in futur Bitcoins will be considered as a motivation mean for such act

Well in fact if the malware is REALLY EFFICIENT the price should rise.
Because lots of money will have to be transformed into btc to pay the ransom xD
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin becoming so god damn slow? on: May 16, 2017, 12:25:51 PM
So a person wanting to use the currency must more or less be some kind of wallsreet trading expert and follow the market fees daily to use this to pay every now and again, gotcha.

paid 1$ for a 130$ transaction, seems fair enough, banks take less and its instant

absolute horrorshow.

It's not made for that.
The transactions shouldn't be small ones for inside the country.
It's made for huge amounts and international ^^
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bitcoin Dominance < 50% on: May 16, 2017, 12:05:11 PM
Bitcoin's share of the total marketcap (not its dominance) is decreasing because of a very simple math.

market capitalization = supply * price

increase the supply you increase the marketcap.
increase the supply to a ridiculous number like 100 billion you get a ridiculously big marketcap.
now have hundreds of altcoins with ridiculous numbers you get a huge total marketcap in which bitcoin has a tiny share.

Manipulation 101

Not COMPLETELY true because the price of altcoin could be VERY LOW.
Of course there are lots of alts.
But what's interesting is that they have not a void price at all.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: May 16, 2017, 12:02:23 PM
Evolution makes perfect sense to me. Monkeys did not evolve because they did not encounter the conditions which were necessary to evolve.   I can envision a big tree where everything has a common genetic ancestor. It's actually amazing how many genetic similarities we share with mammals and other species, for example the urge to urinate when the sound of running water is heard, sexual reproduction, the way our eyes look, etc.

If you eliminate the thinking mind and use mindfulness to observe nature and observe your basic instincts, you can get in touch with your animal self.
I believe in evolution, but I don't understand why our genes have more affinity with pigs and fruit flies than with a monkey. Can anybody explain this fact? I wonder how Muslims react to the similarity of their genes with a pig.
We... Don't.
I mean that's not true. We have more affinity with great apes than with fruits or pig it's... Obvious.
There is no explanation because as far as I know what you say is false. Maybe I'm lacking info though.

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: May 16, 2017, 11:55:55 AM
So, you die. What's wrong with that?
I don't get it that plenty of people believe the human race is some kind of a superior species with a given right to well-being, healthcare, housing, food, etc...

Yeah clearly humans aren't special at all.
Nooooooooooooooot at all. Says the guy behind his computer writing on the net.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT SPECIAL!

You're the kind of guy explaining that "this is not natural" while using a computer or a smartphone...
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Monitoring WannaCry hackers' bitcoin addresses in real time on: May 16, 2017, 11:47:51 AM
It's $300 per computer, not per company.

Yeah and as it's supposed to spread in the whole company it can goes reaaaaaaaally fast Grin

There is a link in the first quotation:

Yeah but I have a problem with your link...
It says that they simply put nutrition standards...

How can THAT be a bad thing? Oo
There is no link with corruption or whatever here.
The problem might that the standards aren't good, that's possible I don't know. But nutrition standards are THE BASIS of school nutrition in EVERY civilized country. Including Finland, Japan and all Europe...

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Monitoring WannaCry hackers' bitcoin addresses in real time on: May 15, 2017, 02:50:56 PM
That's funny, they made a global attack in my company.

To be fair you've got to be a bit stupid to actually fall for it...
Added to that the fact athat big companies all have data save of important files.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: May 15, 2017, 02:14:28 PM
Taxation is not robbery but a social obligation. If we do not pay our taxes then we can not have the welfare services from our government. Look at the United States their taxes is working on them they have 911 that will give you police power at your service including medical services during emergency. Without taxes there will be no government and the burglar will kill you since you cannot call for help.

They want you to pay for that...

You know that for example after the 9/11, people came to help. Well lots of them are sick now after helping, and they can't afford the cure...

This situation with the medical care of 9/11 rescue workers only confirms the thesis that taxes is theft.

How is that?
How does that show it's theft?
How do American people? According to official data more than 300 million people. Add to this the illegals who are working and indirectly also pay taxes. So many taxes and fees and no money for treatment of rescuers? I don't believe. Officials sent the money to repair his office, but not for the treatment of rescuers. What is that but theft?
Hmm... Hellooooooo?
Are you even aware that taxation does NOT fund healthcare in USA?
That's exactly what I'm talking about...
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Foodlunch at us public school, another exposure of the demcrats hate on: May 15, 2017, 02:12:57 PM
....
LMAO. Why are Democrats responsible for shitty school lunches?

Sit down and let me rap to you.....
Michelle Obama, hence the Democrats, OWN the sorry state of school lunch programs today.

Don't know what you're talking about.
Any link to understand what you're saying?

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: May 15, 2017, 01:52:14 PM
Well to me it's unfair compared to the past  few months but if we compare to fiat payment processors I'd say we should give the miners a break because this is far cheaper.

For sums under 50$  it's not cheaper than most other alternatives and for micro payments the fee exceeds already the transferable amount.

Yup but for big money it's the best.
Btc is just the cheapest way to send money to other countries.
But the coin is what's best for big transfer
