1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to fulfill my mother's dream of building a house with Bitcoin. on: October 07, 2023, 06:21:26 PM
As ridiculous as it may sound, the truth is that I want to fulfill a dream of building a house with Bitcoin.
My parents took care of me from childhood and they taught me education and they are still trying to teach me education. Father is very old and it is not possible for him to work as he used to, so I myself feel that I should do something. At the moment, if I could somehow earn to help my family or pay for my education, then maybe the pressure on my father would be reduced a lot. I joined Bitcoin to fulfill my dream.

My mother has a dream to build a house, maybe in the future I will have to help her fulfill her dream because my father is spending the money he earns on my education and running the family so at the moment he cannot afford to build a house. I have already gained enough knowledge about trading by being involved with Bitcoin, firstly I want to start my Bitcoin journey through trading, after making some money from trading I plan to invest in Bitcoin for four years. These four years I will hold my investment and also save the money earned from trading or signature campaign for four years so that after four years I can start building the house.

You must pray for me so that I can fulfill my mother's dream.

Good luck earning the BTC and saving it for your mom's home.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: My 'vast' BTC hodl on PayPal on: October 29, 2020, 12:14:41 AM
as you know PayPal lets you buy btc. So I will track my BTC accumulation on my PayPal account for the next 15 months.

I will delete every post that says "no keys not your money."

 I know that.

...

...

so you did a 20.00 usd on the 21st
         then a 20.00 usd on the 22nd
and then a    21.32 usd on the 23rd
followed by a 20.00 usd on the 28th
lastly a final   18.68 usd on the 28th.

a grand total of $101.32 usd out of pocket in usd funds

with some growth to 102.37 usd .

 Am I correct in this?
I see the pages and grabbed screen shots from your posts. I realized it may not be clear you are out of pocket $100.00 so far.

so you have 1 one board model?

and you have 5 two board models?

what are max watts and max hash for the 1 board
what are min watts and min hash for the 1 board

what are max watts and max hash for the 2 board

what are min watts and min hash for the 2 board
4  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: April 10, 2020, 02:07:19 PM
Quote
2) Is this PPS or PPLNS? It is labeled as score based pplns, but even after disconnecting from the pool for near 24 hours, come back and still have tons of shares. Or is all the math figured out when a block is found? It would seem that if people can disconnect for 24+ hours and still have active shares, it would drastically reduce the payout for active miners. Especially since the rounds are so long.
It is neither.
Perhaps reading the 1st post where how the pool operates is described would help? Wink

Geez, why even post? You added 0 to this thread. Of course I read that, it the exact same info on the front page of the site.

Its labeled as SPLNS.

Score per last number of shares. Avoid pool hopping. Well, if I can collect shares, disconnect for 24+ hours and still get a payout, I don't see how this stops pool hopping. After not mining for 24+ hours, my derp showed my estimate as around $5 worth of BTC. And before I disconnected from the pool I was at around $8 in BTC based of the derp score. I am sure even days later I would still have some derp.

That sounds really terrible and most likely why people are not joining this pool. If a block was found daily, sure. But extremely long rounds, now you end up having to split the reward with 100's of others that haven't mined in days.

I guess I will check my derp in another 24 hours and see.

But if someone can answer my question - Is this basically how it works? Or is derp re-calculated on block find? I think the code is available so can check myself, but figure easier to simply ask people that have been mining here for a while.

What  you need to understand is the pool has 869 th   forget the ½ ing  forget difficulty adjustments  and  go with 5n  and 869th

869 x  0.00001662 =  0.01444278 btc   then 12.5/0.01444278 = 865  this is 1n  so 5n = 4325 days

so our current real time 5n is 4325 days  disregarding

the ½ ing
the difficulty
the fact that the pool may get more hash power
the fact that the pool may lose more hash power

but right now our 5n is 4325 days.  so shutting off for a day or two or three or four  means

the following

4324/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for a day
4323/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for 2 days
4322/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for 3 days
4321/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for 4 days

Now of course  just to fuck with your head I or anyone else can rent 10ph or 20ph from nicehash point it here for a day and  that 869th hashrate I based all the calculations on will get distorted.

I used the following constants of

869 th
0.00001662 btc a th daily earnings.
12.5 coin reward

to get a 4325 day 5n

Reality is all of those constants can and will change
5  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 24, 2020, 11:58:39 AM
The dow dropped to  18591
so  feb 20 price  29,219 would mean   -36.37%
and feb 24 price  27,960 would mean   -33.50%

gold  price went up to 1670
feb 24 price was 1682  that means    -0.71 %

silver price went up to 13.92
feb  24 price  was 18.87  that means -26.23%

Platinum price went up to 693
feb 24 price was 975        that means -28.92%

btc went up to 6739
feb 24 price was 9588  that means  -29.71 %   but when diff moves 15%   the figures for miners  not holders  will be.

6739 x 1.15 = 7749/9588 =   -19.17%

So the trend is leave stocks go to metals and BTC to protect assets.

Gold is king -0.71%

BTC ,Silver and platinum are  between -26.23 and -29.71%

BTC will get a nice boost for miners on wed the 25th when diff moves -15%

Rich people made a lot of money/asset moves since feb 20.  They have less faith in stocks then in metals and cryptocoins.

This is good info.  I have one of this missing a board units.

It worked for 26 days and now the one board is fuck you.

I will still be under warranty on may 15 which is the ½ ing  I may send it in then.

I think this is not a good thing to do bid on every card on the last day.

I know you may not be doing a shill bid but it looks like a shill bid to me.
8  Other / Meta / Re: my topic was delete on: March 14, 2020, 06:36:01 PM
OP pool has a transparency issue.  I clicked on it and can not see how to mine and what sub sections it has.
When you go to viabtc  it has a list of 12 separate pools.

When you go to jerlis EMCD.IO pool  it does not list the separate pools.  It does not  say what  you can use to mine with
as you must register first.   So how can the mods know what is offered.  They can't!

Can I point an s9 to it and mine btc only maybe not sure unless I register.
Can I point a gpu to it mine eth and get eth maybe not sure.
Can I point a gpu to it mine eth and get btc maybe not sure.

Lack of transparency make it hard to decide what the pool really is.
Maybe it is a modernized nicehash  if it is it is a service not a pool.

Basically show the website without sign up for it.
I would not know how to fight for or against you unless I signup to the website.
So a mod is simply going to say fuck you I can't see what you really offer.

I am going to try to keep mining. I bought some coin today at  6100.
10  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Bitcoin Group Mining - let us Burn a block (reloaded #2) on: March 07, 2020, 07:05:32 PM
okay okay - so weit, so gut.  Smiley

und wir haben nun seit dem gestrigen startschuss genau 24 stunden zeit um einen block zu finden oder halt die zahl 15,486,913,440,292.87 zu erreichen  Huh Grin

Sorry for English.

But we have more or less 24 hours of rental.

It varies due to the gear we rent from nicehash as it can switch on and off.

So a 24 hour rental of 10ph  may last 26 hours.
11  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 05, 2020, 01:12:08 PM
Yeah  some will mine to a fresh address hoping to beat taxes.
So buying 10 s17+ at 1567 each does not worry them.
I do think  most of this jump is bitmain cycling out some lessor gear and dropping in better gear. Or maybe a big farm went online.
A 6% jump is about 7eh
9         s19pros = 1ph
90       s19pros = 10 ph
900     s19pros = 100 ph
9000   s19pros =  1    eh
63000 s19pros =  7    eh

63,000 x 3.3kw = 207900kw or  207.9 megawatts.

This is a lot of gear.  I know a plant was being built in Canada it was supposed to do 300 megawatts.  Maybe  they went on line.
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: February 28, 2020, 01:56:58 PM
Nah  they will have a lot of trouble selling this gear.  If coins are at 8500 no one will order.

To think they dropped btc price to kill off coupons  makes less sense than jacking up price to sell  more gear.

Unless they plan to pump BCH or BSV  to sell gear.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: February 22, 2020, 07:59:24 PM
The one thing i remember about ProgPoW is it runs hot as hell, think Neoscrypt hot
those who have older RX cards especially that struggle to keep cool already, will have a hard time on ProgPoW
that said: I do believe it will knock ALOT of hash off the ETH network due to that reason, plus a few more (not as many specialized devices out there for example)

also: reddcoin is forking soon to increase their staking APR to 20-25% (up from 5%), might be some money to be made for speculative traders ...
(i have a few million staking right now)

Yeah  it is a good algorytm   for :

gtx 1660
gtx  1080ti

it also work well enough with vegas

So I am looking forward to this fork.

I can run  8 cpu rigs in the house.  they have
4 vega 56's
1 1080ti
6  1660's  11 cards

I can run

3   2x 1080ti rigs with simple mining 6 cards
3     mixed card rigs with simple mining   total of 10 cards

total of 14 rigs  with 27 gpus.  lets see if I make some decent coin here.
14  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: February 22, 2020, 04:05:32 PM
Price is around 9650usd

diff is at -0.25%

383 blocks to go.

So it looks flat.  A nice break for any miner that is standing pat.

https://diff.cryptothis.com/

About 75 days to ½ ing

I guess the corona-virus has really slowed up shipping of new gear.  This is not how I want the difficulty to stay stable.  I do not see any info to show it stopping at this time.

I have a thread 🧵 ripper 1920x with 8 sticks ram 128gb.

It has three vegas making a few dollars.

Phil... are you mining XMR with that rig?

yeah  7200 hash for xmr  and the vega's do eth I think.  it earns 3.00-3.20   uses 20kwatts a day at 10 cents for winter I pay 14 but the heat is worth 4 so 10 cents x 20 = 2.00

thus 3.20-2.00 = 1.20 a day at the moment.
17  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: February 12, 2020, 04:34:26 PM
I would only buy  s17pro gear don't buy a lot.

1 ph is  1000 x .16 = 160 a day

If it is 70 watt gear and fully paid off  it burns 101 usd a day  your profit is 60 a day  or 1800 a month  about 5000-5400 so you can buy 3-5 s17pros from now till 1/2 ing .

Buy 3 is low risk  Buy 5 is medium risk.

You are close to Malaysia you should be able to get s17 pros...   you want them because they can go from 42th to 57th via stock firmware  also  from 1500 watt to 2750 watt via stock firmware.  You can add gear more aggressive the 3-5 s17pro  from now til ½ .  But your setup  should work  doing the above.

Tough call  ,but with 3nm  and 5nm mentioned  adding a few s17pros should be good for you to do.

A big crash  you don't get killed just shut off the 30th and mine the 3-5 s17pros.
A middle move  the 30th gear turns a very small profit and the s17pros make a profit.
A big run up   the old gear make money along with the new gear.

Lots more to think of  how much power do you have.  If you have 70kwatts  burning now and can go to 140kwatts  adding some s17 pros  should be good. Then if new gear comes out cheap s17pros could occur.  Thats why  3-5 over nex three months is better then 10-15 right now.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless on: February 12, 2020, 01:18:20 AM
Funny  how that 1,000 level and 100,000 level  apply  a lot  to two different areas.
It is as if the government's  want kyc  to let scammers and thieves rob at that 1,000 to 100,000 level while they focus on the larger 100,000 and up level.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newest biggest baddest threadripper for sale on newegg on: February 11, 2020, 02:40:07 PM
whats the current earnings

the 3900 gear earns about 1 a day  the beast  3990x  should be 5

but  that means 300 x 24 = 7200 or 8 kwatts  say 1 in power so 5-1 = 4 a day  the build is at least 5k  so 1250 days to breakeven
20  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: February 10, 2020, 06:59:10 PM
Every bit's appreciated, but we really need more like 2EH.

So 2 blocks in one week with (less than) 2PH and then even less than 1PH... or am I wrong? At least that's what https://miningpoolstats.stream/bitcoin reported anyway...

BTW my recent observations on multiple pools reveal a completely different/opposite picture than the popular opinion goes. Looks like smaller pools with fewer competing miners improve the overall pool efficiency, I guess it could be due to small pools by design/usage "relieve" the inevitable technical bottlenecks any large pool has. Just an intuitive guess of mine.

certainly looks to be a reporting error on someones part.

blockchain.info has that block at unknown not ckpool
If you look at the "pool" that blockchain.com says found it, it is 32LA7cmsj35LH7cK1MjvwyoLEmYpuWAD9k which is also the top (#1) payout on ckpool. Not 100% on what it reports or who's account that is but it is a ckpool user at the very least.
I get this info

 https://www.blockchain.com/btc/block/00000000000000000007c7186fd29956197dc96222b8db62334d73054efc33fc
