201  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 15, 2018, 01:29:06 AM
So phil I went to bitminter thread and found this

There is a (POSABLE) new miner out called Dragonmint miner. I saw it on Ebay for preorder and on Bitcointalk. It's supposed to hit 16TH. If it is legit it's great for mining and it's not Bitmain's. Launch date is March/April My advice is to wait and see before putting any money into a preorder.

The Dragonmint miner is real! I have had physical contact Smiley

Fefox has mined at bitminter for 5+ years

https://bitminter.com/livestats/big

number 2 on the list
202  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 07, 2018, 04:49:16 AM
So  you can build  10 rigs.
I know  you use 6 on the six card
and you use 7 or 8 on the eight card.

So 5 x 6 = 30 plus 5 x 7 = 35  So you can do 65 gpus for the 10 rigs.
203  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hobby Techno's Soundproof Box for Antminer on: January 05, 2018, 11:22:09 PM
I agree with the fire blankets  under 30 bucks to a 275 purchase worth it for sure.

He may be able to cut the 4 inch hole with the hole saw as an exhaust  and not use a second input hole.

If I were him I would buy the 2 fire blankets run the miner  and check temps over and over and over.

Once they get hot  and I think they will do that. I would cut the 4 inch hole high for exhaust  and use this dc fan

https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-AF120-Quiet-High-Airflow/dp/B00F6S0XJO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8

to pull more air out.

if not good enough cut an intake low use second corsair to blow air in

Hey phil did it get fixed?
205  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer T-9 rare works well and in hand on: January 02, 2018, 05:59:37 PM
Phil  can you move it to a different pool and show it mining?

That shot is from Jan 1st.
206  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer T-9 rare works well in hand on: January 01, 2018, 05:29:57 PM
So phil

 the t-9 is 11.7th
 the s-9 is 13.5th

total is 25.2th  correct?

Will you discount to one buyer?
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 29, 2017, 09:58:32 PM
Yeah... the 2 big increases for mineable coins the last 1-2 days are ZCL & SUMO.  Certainly makes me wish i had my GTX rig build already but I just now started building my Vega rig, even though I only have 3 of them to install in it lol.  I moved 3 of my 4 rx470 rigs over to SUMO about 24 hours ago when it was at $5 and it's already around $10 now. of course, diff is going up big time but it's still by far the most profitable coin currently to mine with 470's, and Vega's even more so once I get that rig up and running.

Speaking of the Vega's... I have a question for those of you who have already built Vega rigs...

What exactly is the requirement for power on these things? Meaning, aside from the riser, what exactly do i need to plug into the 2 power ports on the top of the GPU?  Here's my situation specifics:

- EVGA 1000w G2 PSU - comes with 4 8pin (PSU side) to 6+2pin (GPU side) cables and 2 8pin to 6+2pin & 6pin cables.

Clearly, I do not want to you 2 PSU ports and 2 of of the single 6+2's for each GPU since that would limit me to 3 total GPUs on this rig.

I assume I can make use of the 2 double pronged cables, but have a question about that since 1 is only 6pins. My Gigabyt2 Vega 56 came with a 8pin male to 2 6pin female adapter.  Therefore, can I just plug 1 of this adapter's 6pin female into the power cable's 6pin male, and then subsequently use that 1 cable with adapter (now has a 6+2 from main power cable and and 8pin from the adapter) to power a single GPU with 1 PSU cable?

If so, this will solve the issue for 2 GPUs, and then for now, since I only have 3 Vega's, I can double up the PSU cables for the 3rd without any issues, correct?  This would still limit me to 4 total Vega's on this rig but Im assuming I can try to get extra PSU cables/adapters towards the end state of hopefully 5 Vega's.

Any suggestions on this would be most welcome!

It may work. My suggestion is try it and see what happens.

Thanks to d57heinz

Here is a chart  From this link. Last 30 days of mining.

https://poolprofit.io/en/

It shows  the top 12 pools

SlushPool  pays  rewards method B------------------14.61144 coins
GBMiners   pays Partial  rewards method C----------14.51882 coins

ViaBTC      pays reward method B PPLNS ------------14.41793 coins
ViaBTC      pays partial rewards Method C PPS+ -----------14.16793 coins

on the  darker side

Antpool  PPS+  pays Partial reward method C -----------------  14.369 grabbing  0.541 coins a block
Antpool  PPS    pays  Partial reward method C -----------------13.125  grabbing  1.79 coins a block
Antpool  PPLNS pays  Score reward method A ------------------ 12.50 grabbing   2.41  coins a block
Antpool Solo   pays Score reward Method A --------------------- 12.375 grabbing   2.54 coins a block

Why on earth would anyone in the world  mine  antpool solo instead of ck pool solo?

last I looked ck would take under  .3 btc  on a solo hit while antpool takes 2.54 btc.
209  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Little Pool Transparency. 😀 on: December 26, 2017, 02:47:48 PM
In an effort to show a bit of transparency regarding pool payouts and what you actually make with the different schemes pools like to come up with.  I stumbled on this site and thought I’d share.  In order to help decentralization ideally it would be nice if all pools paid the same on avg.  looking here we can see that some pools are just robbing it’s users blind.  https://poolprofit.io/en/

Hopefully a little transparency will go a long way.

Okay nice with the wires..  this rack  should do 4 easy  and it is on wheels

So 28 inch wide and 16 inches deep.  Does that  mean  this rack from target  could hold 3 of them

https://www.target.com/p/adjustable-3-tier-wide-wire-shelving-chrome-room-essentials-153/-/A-17136152?lnk=rec|slp|search_bought|slp|17136152|3
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 25, 2017, 02:48:53 AM
...

...

I see the board does 4025 sols

and you get 1060 watts at the kwatt meter.

considering there are 17 fans in the build    you do get good numbers  for sols per watts  around 3.8

I would imagine   that higher power just drops efficiency.
214  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Why all miners need to mine on a pool that pays them the tx fees. on: December 23, 2017, 01:11:42 AM
Actually Phil is wrong  it is worse then he said.  The tx fees were 1495 coins.

The transactions were  370,000.

So if the top 3 pools  did 52.2% of the blocks   they would have earned  780 coins  in fees.

So if they spent  300 coins  to do 300,000  sends of 0.001 + 0.001 in fees   they net  780 - 300 = 480 coins.

Since the average fee is   1495 / 370, 000  =  0.00404  and they jammed the network with 0.001 fees  not 0.00404  they score big time.

We must mine on pools that share the fees  or we will die here.

While no one can prove  the top 3 pools are doing what Phil says the fact is  they would make a huge profit if they are doing it.

We as miners must not mine at these pools.
215  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: |||||--ASICWORLD--||||| ASIC MINING TECH |||| BTC & ALTCOIN CHECKOUT |||| on: December 06, 2017, 10:36:35 AM
I looked them up
Timeline for a d3 taking  17 days to show up is not likely
they were created on

Oct 26 2017
and

updated on Oct 31 2017

and the poster said on Nov 17 he got an D3 delivered in 17 days

I think  it is a scam

but Atraxpool   could show us  a screenshot of tracking  to confirm the 17 days.

He would have purchased on  Oct 26th to Oct 31st
and it would have been delivered on    Nov 13 to  Nov 17

How about a screen shot ?

Hey  phil good info.

I have a follow up

It has two double headed pcies  and 6  single pcies,

So he buys a few dual headed  say 3  giving him 2 spares.

He has three dual plugged in and six single.

So send a single to each of the 6 cards.
Then use  each dual on 2 cards.

This means 1.5 cables per card.
1 Single and 1/2 of a dual.
It should  provide the best power possible to each card.

Your seller was pretty good Phil

1 sample = no issues
10 boards = no issues
10 boards = no issues

21 for 21 is good.
219  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: A741 Temperature Allow on: November 30, 2017, 02:06:56 PM
To me  one is a pretty good unit.  Is it set to -2 or -1 ?
It can safely go up 1 number.

Move from -2 to -1  or
from -1 to 0

The other is a bit concerning  is it at -1  if so drop to -2 .
So does the buyer want a discount or a return on the hot one?
Was it used was it new?
Did it come from the USA  seller minerwarez?

I see the intake number of 27  that is a good number.
I see the chip at 101 that is borderline.
