Or maybe it's just that the last 3 months *really* sucked. and this month is shaping up to be the same.
How is it the same? ... and September being average 99.80% PPS seems quite a lot better than "*really* sucked" The CDF[Erl] of 0.7642 means about 1 in 4.24 months that's expected to be worse. excuse me while I slow clap for you....

Still. his attitude is like people mining here are rolling in dough, when the reality is that something is up with this place and it's behind again.
This comes up at EVERY pool, anytime short term luck plummets. People come out with their conspiracies. Start pool hopping. Sacrificing virgins. But really, in the end, it all evens out. If you look at the long term stats, they are still above the expected PPS return. On a rare occasion, there is a problem like a block withholding attack or some other nefarious purpose/glitch in code. But at least here you know that here, the pool op is looking into it and updates you regularly with what is going on. If ever that stops happening, it is time to run. Like at Slush from dec 2015 - feb 2016. When everyone mining there got robbed. Finally after 3 months of miner complaints and being told everything is ok, they announced someone (I think it was Omega mining) with a large percentage of the hash was running hardware that could not find blocks. Then the pool op said basically, oh he didn't know. Let's just let him keep all your coins. So really, if they can't handle the swings. STFU and move elsewhere where there will be less variance, or at least the long blocks don't last as long. But you'll be in in the dark as to what's going on. OR Mine ON. Oh, and sacrifice some chickens.... I've been mining on here for quite a long time and was aware of this possibility. I hope kano can figure it out, it just seems a bit ironic that this pool did so well for so long and then the luck just goes down, I guess as many will say that is luck, but thats just the easy answer. Once he's able to get everything sorted out i'll be back in a flash, but I need to get a return on my investment (power) unfortunately I don't get it for free. and last month wasn't spectacular. Here's to hoping I am wrong and November ends as a bright green month.

To be fair. Over the last 5 days, how many blocks did kano find of those large fees. Don't be so quick to judge.

What a bad luck. just started to mine and joined kano's pool - 4 days without any reward.
Relax buddy! If 4 days without a reward has you all worked up, you may want to find another hobby, because this is how it goes sometimes. I'm trying to view this from another angle. even with getting paid out on transactions, when we are getting this far behind even 100% variance, and the price getting as high as it is, this leaves alot of money on the table. If other mines are hitting 100% vs where we are at this month, thats alot of money left on the table. I know its abnormal for this pool, but running for a week without a block (I know we got one that went stale) is not good, thats why all the big guys left I assume. I'm only a 110ths miner but I need some kind of a return. Million dollar question is how long do you stick it out? As good/ethical of a guy kano is, I still need to pay my power bills.

I just got my rewards back up to almost 0.01 and the pool hash goes up Best start getting more 5 black days, Woot, WOOT! Be nice if I could actually buy a miner but no one's selling them! I have 8 S7's from my recent upgrade to s9's i'm ready to sell. no power supplies.

Is there a listing of all the nodes to mine on? I can't seem to find this. I only use stratum from canada and only have bitmain as an alternative... i'd like to change this.

Sigh more ckpool passthru trouble at 13:22 UTC It decided to stop relaying to the main node and ended up needing a code restart. Glad it was after the block All OK again since the restart. I might have to consider running a few nodes in LA as well as, or instead of the passthru, to stop this from happening so often. The nodes run OK but the passthru gets random network problems, even with the recent git (I keep updating it to no avail) It seems it's not tested. Anyone running more than 200TH on a single IP source pointed at the main pool stratum.kano.is feel free to contact me so I can whitelist a private node for you and a few others. I'll contact you soon anyway since of course I have your email at the pool but just a heads up about what I'll work on (probably start on that as soon as tomorrow) I'm sitting at about 90, and should be at around 120 once I can buy two more s9's. I'm in central canada, just curious what I should be using for a primary node and backup node?

This pool hasn't had amonth above 100% since june and october., and may barely made it in there. It's hard to keep people around when the stats don't lie and things haven't been good here for awhile.
Kano always says it's a numbers game, but since the halving, this pool has been struggling for some reason.
Which sucks.
|
|
|
not necessarily, this is a numbers game, the more players you have at the table, the better the odds of finding a block. If what you were saying were true it would make just as much sense to just mine solo vs mining here.

man it's sure tempting to jump ship when things are like this....but have to remember I guess the average. We need about 3 coins per day to make money and we had some big days last week......fingers crossed this week is better.
|
|
|
man I hope so, over 24 hours now since the last block, this isn't good.
I'm running here for a month to do a bit of a comparison to the "other" place. I was getting a consistent .05 to .09 btc per day with my hash rate. The fact they don't pay out as much of a block should add up fast when kano is hitting blocks but days like this make you leary.
On average all I need is 2-3 per day from kano to make it worth while to stay over here.....it's not much!

So my armory wallet shows I have 184467440742 BTC in my wallet...I wonder if it's gone corrupt?

sweet! I just moved my kmp machines back! crazy that an s7 found the block and not one of my s9's
