I guess you could argue that they should move the threads to exchange board, since managers are keeping Bitcoin and paying with altcoin, right? If you want to be technical, but we are not admin/mod, they should tell you what is best, but if it's temporary, why bother?
Note, the important part is that they pay with BTC if you ask, but due to high fees, they also pay with alts.

Adam Back seems to be a reasonable and conservative kind of guy, I don't know him at all but based on that tweet, I'd say he is right, IMO it's not good to censor, they need to make the cloud storage expensive enough to make it a balanced situation, where monetary transactions pay less, but ord/garbage pay more.
There is also another option, all monetary users either use LN/second layers, or move to alts temporarily and when miners see everyone has left, they would submit to even a hard fork if there is a need. 😉

You might also want to mention sending a lot of Bitcoins to burned addresses for no reason or maybe that single address has actually an owner with private key, I don't know, but I would like to know who has done what you said, to derive a key like that?
Ps, do an rmd160 on empty string, the address contains 72 Bitcoins.

I'd suggest to spend it all as mining fee and then wait for the authorities to compensate you after figuring out whether or not you had anything to do with the theft, otherwise you can never actually spend anything from that address, but if you want to throw away billions just like that, be my guest.
I guess it would be a good idea for the hackers to come clean, but man my man, %30 is too much, if you are the hacker, take %10 and make a deal. just calculate 8000 BTC with current price, you'll have more than enough for next 10 generations. |

Also, affiliate and referral links are used on the signatures you see all over the place and no one will ever penalise you for creating your own signature and embedding the referral/affiliate links into it as well. I believe this still serves the same purpose as the person who embedded it in his posts directly instead of the signature design.
So in your opinion it's alright to wear a signature that leads to a site and then getting paid a fix amount, but it's not alright to have a special link for the same site to then earn as people click on it and use the service? Which one is better for you as a promoter, a fixed payment, or a dynamic one? Here is a better question, what if you are advertising your own site? If you don't know the reason for restriction on ref links, here is why: Scammers advertise for fake profit by promising good return, but in reality they just scam the unsuspected newbies. So it's not allowed to do that. Everything is in place for a reason, to avoid abuse. |
