But try to generate 128bit number. You can't even do that with NumPy.
Well, I wasn't aware of the fact that when you generate random keys you have to pay the price by computing units, now I see you want even a faster RNG than the one you posted a link to.
I don't know anything about RNG or seeds used to feed RNG, but it looks like a waste of time looking for a drop in an ocean, while there is a better way, to shatter the crust and let the ocean drain, meaning you should try to work out public keys.

As I see it, the most important part of the brute force that is missing is:
Quick database implementation.

assuming you want to find the public key of
1582856285957395958375836588

if you have the ability to store 10Mk and read them quickly.
You could then change G for 10000000
and subtract 10MK from the target and you would only have to scan
158285628595739595837
Something like this you mean :
Code:
75836588, 65836588, 55836588, 45836588, 35836588, 25836588, 15836588
Now we'd need to store 15, 836, 588 keys to look up.
742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: November 01, 2023, 10:34:34 AM
Fundamentally, it is not a question of a desire/idea what someone conceived for building as script.
Ceate/invent a random generator 10 times faster than all existing ones. Any programming language.
Then we talk further on ideas.

There are very fast ones especially for short keys. But we need very large keys. Cry
I'm not sure I follow what you are talking about, who are you talking to? Hope it's not me.
What exactly does it mean to invent a random generator 10 times faster? Looks like you are confused about random, it just selects values without any pattern, the "speed" depends on other factors such as implementation and hardware. Unless you can invent a computer which operates beyond binary, there is no 10x faster invention.

Wait, they already invented such computer, it's called quantum, but where is it? No where to be found.

Cool story though about ideas, I have seen only a few useful ones, such as the one searching for rmd160 with step size, stride etc.

Have you seen a donkey with horns? What could happen if donkeys had horns? I imagine all our ancestors would have died a long time ago due to injuries caused by such creatures, that's why God didn't give them horns.
This applies to people like me, if I had programming skills/talent, we wouldn't be here chatting, read between the lines.

Wrong door, not interested, these are the replies when salesmen go door to door.
I'm reading the whole post to get to the punch line to see any relevance with Bitcoin, to no avail. Maybe you didn't read the board description, it's about Bitcoin related projects. If your "altcoin" is not about "Bitcoin", move this topic to trashcan located here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0 😉
744  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Stacker.news a website where posts are ranked with bitcoin instead of upvotes ! on: November 01, 2023, 02:12:45 AM
The site may be out of their radar now but once it increases its rank it will be a target of manipulation.
I still think that Reddit and Bitcointalk are the best sources of information, its free and anyone can participate in appreciating the pieces of information provided by merits and upvotes.

Not true, merits or upvotes has nothing to do with information being presented, I have seen useless comments/articles/posts getting a lot of merits but technical posts get less than average.
What you need to note is the person giving merits, nowadays half of the sources are either corrupt or biased.
Never base correctness of information on likes, merits etc.
Regarding the spammers, scammers not knowing about that site, good news for them, bad news for us, they know about bitcointalk and already nested and infected every single place of this once great forum.
This forum is also filled with manipulation, censor, discrimination, abuse, fraud, lies, the only difference is how they give you freedom to say whatever you want.(just don't say anything "manipulators" don't like).

One advantage this new site has over bitcointalk, well there is no advantage, here people can scratch each others back or even their alt accounts to gain trust and status simply by transacting a few bucks back and forth, from right pocket to left pocket. In here we also have ring kissers, they do anything to please their masters.
Now expand beyond this forum, go global and you'll see the same thing happening in all the governments.
And the only solution is to burn them all to the ground, corruption has to burn from the roots.😉
745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the irreversibility of Bitcoin transactions a downside for an average person? on: November 01, 2023, 01:27:30 AM
@OP, you really think people are actually using Bitcoin widespread in market places to buy stuff? Most of the transactions you see is to and from exchanges/casinos, the volume for ordinary users is very low.
The only way to "reverse" the transaction is to double spend or cancel before confirmation. For anything other than that, use paypal etc. Where there exist another type of scamming by chargebacks.
746  Other / Meta / Re: Investigation and action required. Unusual forum moderation. on: October 31, 2023, 11:15:35 PM
He is a merit source? Do you have any evidence to prove that he has been misusing his source merits?

Who has given him more than 11,000 merits other than other merit sources? Why don't you consider them "tricked",  shouldn't sources read a post in full before meriting someone? And why didn't anyone notice his "manipulation" tactics before giving him so much merits?

I will not judge anyone here, but if someone takes advantage of a community by manipulation and deception, deserves no respect and should not be put in a position of authority.
Also note that, back scratchers are every where, it's not limited to this case, almost all merit sources discriminate when it comes to meriting.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The possibility of another bitcoin hardfork. on: October 31, 2023, 09:38:31 PM
Come to think about any possible hard fork and splitting the chain like it happened many times in the past, you have to wonder, why are they shooting themselves in the foot?
Because if you have a substantial amount of hash rate to have any influence, why would you remove your self from the competition and allow other miners to benefit by replacing you?
Since you'd be moving to a new altcoin and would allocate your hash rate to mine the new coin, which will become more of a dead coin over time, you would be doing the rest of the miners a favor.

Chinese miners made a mistake by migrating some of their hashing power into alt/forks, it allowed US to take control of the majority of hash power.
And now if US miners decide to fork, it'd be a strategic mistake IMO. So I'd say there will be no forks, but US is known for such mistakes. That's why you should be ready for anything.
748  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoinica Theft with unusual transaction to Theymos. on: October 31, 2023, 09:25:09 PM
The video is not recently but was 8 years ago.

In the video, he said theymos is the owner of Bitcointalk. The founder of bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto is the owner of Bitcointalk while theymos is the admin.
Wrong, theymos is the sole owner of the domain name, Satoshi never even posted here with the founder account.

@OP, while you are accusing people indirectly, why don't you put some effort and provide a few txids, blockchain evidence here instead of inviting us to watch a video which we can't figure anything out by watching it?
749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN UNVEILED:Revelation of Bitcoin as Divine phenomenon after fifteen years on: October 31, 2023, 08:30:36 PM
I didn't know the consciousness behind Bitcoin is so close to me, maybe I should visit his tomb in dezful to learn a few tricks.

Satoshi knew about the future, right? That's why he chose that specific newspaper as the source for genesis message. It all makes sense now. But I wonder, why do you think anything related to knowledge, wisdom and technology is not a divine intervention? Bitcoin is not an exception, anything good or evil comes from a single source, we decide and choose which one to use.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: October 31, 2023, 07:08:38 PM
I will build out any script. Tell me your ideas and i will build. anyone interested PM.
you may have an idea that can lead to victory, may not be sure how to write the program. I've got you.
it may be taking forever because a great idea hasn't been built out yet  Huh
Go for it, we have 2 targets, we want to divide them both by a range, and then we want to add or subtract their results of division, but with a twist, if we are dividing for example by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, we want to add or subtract target 1 divided by 6 from target 2 divided 5.  I have learned a few tricks and it can be done this way, it could result in something good.
If you could make it to work by both scalar and points it would be great, we could comment out scalar operations when we are working with points, and vice versa.

Another one:
Ters function, we want to have 2 targets performing ters on each of them by different values, example, if we had -1 divide by 2, now we want to have a different strategy with second target, like, target 2 be -2 divide by 3, and then we want to either add or sub the results. Both over scalar and points preferably. Thanks and good luck.
751  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BTC private key generates wrong address. on: October 31, 2023, 08:43:33 AM
Can you post your python script here so that we can check for any errors? Why did you generate the key that way just to import it on electrum?

When you import on electrum android it will automatically give you a legacy address and since your key starts with L it's compressed . But we can't help you until you show us the script.

One thing I don't understand, how could you generate a WIF but not the address?
752  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: October 30, 2023, 09:31:14 PM
Sorry but did you guys just tagged a user based only on the similarities of usernames, without them doing anything? Or they did something we can't find? Why proxy ban though if they haven't done anything wrong?
Talking about trust abuse etc, hence the need to say this.
753  Other / Meta / Re: Forum moved to bitcointalk.org on: October 30, 2023, 09:17:07 PM
Or https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki is the official wiki of Bitcoin?
Your question should be : which one of them is the most technically accurate and politically unbiased?
It seems Bitcoin wiki has no use, at least that's my opinion. When you have a forum, no need for wiki, but it's good to store the history in one place and categorized.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LastPass hack - move your crypto assets to a more secure place right now! on: October 30, 2023, 08:31:53 PM
So, people use online services to store their seed phrases/private keys? Ok, why don't you guys just give me your keys, I promise to keep them safe, whenever you wanted to access them, just give me the password, and I will let you access them.

I want to know what is the difference between me and last pass? Fine, I know I can't be there for you 24/7, but the security of your private keys is equal to the security of lastpass, why? Because of human element involved.

How can we educate people about this issue of trusting third parties with their funds? We'll grow white hair and die, people will continue to trust strangers, at least when you teach kids not to go with strangers they'd learn and listen, crypto community is less than kids in learning? Disappointment!
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The possibility of another bitcoin hardfork. on: October 30, 2023, 06:01:29 PM
I believe this is franky's territory, he will submit 500 posts to prove that core team is the single point of failure, well of course they are, no matter what, blackrock, blockstream, core team, whatever they do is going to be in the interest of Bitcoin, if they deviate from the core principles of Bitcoin, they will loose more than others, if they fail as the single point, well they will be replaced. Yes that's how easy it is.

We can't maintain a system by dancing to every song, logical thing is to dance to one song at a time.
756  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sypheon Online on: October 30, 2023, 05:44:04 PM
Played the demo, built a few resource facilities, though the metal extraction is so slow, I think every minute you get 1 metal unit even if you have no mines active to mine metal, I know it's a demo, but building different facilities should have a limit, I know it takes time, but maybe just allow building 3 resource production units at a time.  It takes a lot to learn how to play if you haven't played such games before.

One other thing, the box where it explains each function is transparent and the text color gets lost in the background, maybe change the text color would be a good option to add, or maybe it already exist, I didn't check the options. But the font color should be visible by default.

Overall, loved it. Looking for the release.
757  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sent Coin by mistake to wrong address and got them back:) on: October 30, 2023, 04:00:42 PM
So what was your original destination address? Were you randomly sending to a random address or you knew what you were doing? Because if you are sending to an exchange, to a friend, to anyone, usually you'd double check the address before sending, but now you are saying you don't know how his address got into your clipboard, that's a bit strange.🤔

Edited to remove some content. Oh and I found a way to make solving these puzzles much easier. Since no one is interested, I won't bother to post and talk about it.😉

760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: October 29, 2023, 11:19:21 PM

you would automatically get a key that reflects a low range.

I swear I was starting to doubt my sanity, at least now I know I'm not totally insane.
Your understanding shows that you have worked with scalars and know what happens when you operate mod n.

Now have you tried to work with target and it's 1/16? Try divide & add/sub scalar.
One thing I noticed, even if you post a private key of a funded address, not all but some people would ask what is this, what should we do with it?😂
And say how is that going to help us solve a puzzle, while they think finding a way to partially break ECC is like planning for a family picnic or throwing a dice and get lucky to land on a key just like that.

To understand, you have to try any possibility until you find a solution, and since the group order is fixed, you can observe what happens when you divide different keys from different ranges, like sometimes you get 8 with some 0s after it, and when you divide by a larger number you'd get something like 67b with some trailing 0s, sometimes it goes like 8, c, 4, with trailing 0s.

You can understand what I say if you divide 0x1 by even or odd numbers, e.g, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 3, 5, 7 etc.

Something to work with:
Target: 1001, sub 200 to get 801, now if you divide 801 and 1001 by 200 you get 1, but do it using scalar, and set your range to 2:400, you will see 256 bit keys and in the middle only "1". Now how can we find an unknown key close to 200? And start by dividing and sub to land on one of the unknown key's divisor.

Let me explain, think of target as 1600, now if you divide and sub 1000 and 600, you'd get 400 being divided, now what if you work with 600 and 400, you'd get 200 divided, now imagine all the keys above are odd, how can we work with them by subtraction/addition only to get a composite number?
