1  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] CoiningSolutions.com HashFast Shares ฿2.5 = 20GH/s [CLOSED] on: February 26, 2014, 08:24:28 PM
Well, the fact is that there is nothing we can do without waldohoover.  It is the person who made the purchase, so nobody else can take legal action against HashFast.

Last message from Waldohoover was that he would seek a USD refund.  I'm not sure if he did do that or if he is still willing to consider a legal direction.

I can see this flamewar coming once we get USD ;-)
2  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] CoiningSolutions.com HashFast Shares ฿2.5 = 20GH/s [CLOSED] on: February 26, 2014, 06:58:29 PM
So who is willing to provide 0.2 BTC for lawyer downpayment? At current BTC prices we need 10 ppl.

If we will not be able to gather crowd large enough the only option we got left is obviously USD refund.

I'm ok with with 0.2. Anybody else?

EDIT: I have looked again at invoices provided by waldo: http://imgur.com/qIMQ406 . On all of them says payment 100% via BTC...

I'm ok with 0.2 if coiningsolutions/waldo/DHJ/RG whoever he is will respond and pick up the torch for his own damn group buy. We need  someone with a cool head to manage this, not a hydra. Wheres he at, and most importantly, what's his excuse for ignoring us. That condition must be met before I send the guy anything, but I doubt it will be. Hell, if he spoke to hashfast they same way he spoke to me and others, I dont doubt that they are ignoring his ass.

Agree, I'm not gonna send 0.2 to some random dude. And waldo has already made it clear the he wants nothing to do with us or the lawyer.
What if the lawyer needs more fees and waldo ignores him?

We need someone geographically close to Ray to step up and handle this. Anyone in this GB that lives in NorCal?

I really can't see how some of you want to make it work without/against waldo. There is no reason to blame him for anything that happened. In addition, if I count it right people committed 0.8 BTC so no point to discuss it further.

I guess we are slowly but surely moving towards USD refunds. Unless anybody has some other idea? So who is willing to spend it's own time to make this thing work? I am not talking some bullshit talk but actual action.

Thats even better!

You do not seem like very active member of this forum. If you have some other info or opinion please speak up rather than complain about ppl bending over.

My activity on this forum, currently, is solely to get my Waldohoover group buy resolved.

I actually found waldo on reddit at /r/teamredditmining, so all of my communication up until the point that he stopped responding has been on reddit.

I cant tell if you are saying my opinion doesnt matter because I havent posted enough? I am an investor, I deserve to be here. My voice is just as important as yours, even if I havent posted enough for your liking.

I'm really not sure of the point of your post.

I had an opinion, I spoke up. My opinion is that this group buy is going to bend to whatever pennies refund waldo decides he has the energy to throw at us.

If you have something real to add to the conversation, please dont hesitate to post meaningful replies.

I am not saying that you opinion doesn't matter. Quite the contrary. I simply don't like when someone calls me names.

Apart from sharing some details about California can you please explain how would you like to get yours and my btc back?

I'm definately NOT up for a USD refund. What is wrong with you people?

As a matter of fact, if you are "IN" for a USD refund, why dont you send me $50 bucks now and I'll send you $5 bucks next week.

Did you know california just passed a law making BTC legal currency?

Did you know hashfast is in california?

Did you know waldo is supposedly in california?

Since you all enjoy losing money so much, just send me any money you dont mind losing.

Waldo, you arent getting anywhere with this. Why do you like fucking us all so much? It doesnt seem to bother you one bit. Oh thats right your the only one making any sort of money here.

Pretty sad thread this is. Bunch of people bending over taking it up the butt. Willingly. Ugh.

Initially my understanding was that the lawyer will work for the percentage of the the recovered funds. I was assuming that this would give him enough of motivation to fight for our money. Now it seems that it's not the case. I really did not go deeper into the conditions but now I am not so sure that he has enough confidence that he can win this case. Therefore asking for upfront payment.

I myself have more than 30 btc in this venue so it will be heart breaking to go for USD refund but at this time I would say better something than nothing.

You can always get US dollars. The question I have is whether one can get a BTC refund. What HashFast said on this site may not be in the sales agreement. If the sales agreement does not "guarantee you will not lose you BTC" or that refunds will be in BTC (both claims made by HashFast on this site), then there may not be a case. I have no idea what the law would say in the case. The sales agreement would normally be the only agreement, but we know other claims were made.

It would be interesting to see how the other cases go. If somebody wins, then it would make it easier to demand BTC.

I have stopped following the main thread. Does anybody have any news on other cases. Any success stories of BTC refunds?

Could be be tricky to make everybody to agree on any additional payments.

I guess at this point I we do not have much choice but try to get USD refund.

Also, I am not sure if there is a question that could be asked in any poll.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: February 04, 2014, 09:22:00 PM
People who say botnets ruin CPU coins are idiots. Just like with any coin botnets are an issue. Bitcoin has them, litecoin has them. What makes people think that botnets can't use GPU's just as much as they can use CPU's?

Veeery valid point.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 04, 2014, 07:16:26 PM
For the first time I am considering a refund quite seriously. I think I may refund and buy BTC. Anyone else share my sentiment?

It was always a gamble and still is.

I am sticking with KNC.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: February 04, 2014, 02:36:08 PM
gpu miner = bad idea.
cpu only  = good idea
+100
CPU ONLY first month
There is no way to stop GPU later on so I agree CPU only in the beginning should be just fine. Just like it was with btc in the beginning.

Seriously keep out GPU mining, huge GPU farms are ready to mine this coin, it's not fair at all.

Can you imagine all the dogecoin crowd switching to maxcoin?! I am really not sure what it more f***d up: botnet or gpu farm.

I voted CPU only here: http://www.easypolls.net/poll.html?p=52f02bf8e4b0aa0bc59f064e

Can you name another ASIC mining manufacturer that has done better?

Define 'better'.

There are 2, 3, other companies shipping equipment right now, with no intention to stop shipping.

KNC's demonstrated above-average (BFL) customer service, and better than most for keeping timetables. They've failed to keep their NPS.

i guess one is the black arrow place doing what is it called prospero-x or some such..they have up until around 3 days ago (trying to remember) said
they would ship in FEB now they say MAY of course it was BTC only I think

oops

just search black arrow in the www.bitcointalk.org search bar above

and of course everyone on hashfast has gone completely off the rails

the cointerra folks are also p/o'd at 1.65TH or so and 28mm minner that they have is not 2TH if the 1.65-1.72TH or some such is accurate from my memory..we are talking
3 Jupiters (Oct) at 555gh using the same elec power more or less ..they say 2100 watts so that /3 means 700 watts

anyway it is pretty ugly...cointerra seems the only one attempting to compensate...as far as i can tell BFL/hashfast and so far anyway blackarrow do not seem to be or want to compensate....at least not yet

man makes me appreciate KNC more

on a side note on KNC forums a guy got a 'used' jupiter i think it was with a burned chip I think on the controller board and was intially told by someone at KNC that they had to contact the original owner to RMA.....one of the KNC staff got on and said that is incorrect...the warrenty FOLLLOWS the equipment and contact him...again the guy was posting to find someone to fix it...no way can i see BFL doing that

here is the link and reply from kurt at knc

better then my trying to remember above

http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/off-topic/miners-cafe/28957-beaglebone-and-controller-board-needed

anyway nice to know the warrenty follows teh unit

KNC again comes thru!

Searing

I agree with the above however timeline for Neptunes would be nice.

Jakie?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 02:25:18 PM
Ugh.. I can't use modules.. have an 8VRM Day 1 Jup that only has 4 slots.. Shoot.  Sell more Jupiters!!!!!!

I bet there are more people that would like to be day 1 Jup rather than Nov batch with upgrades ;-)
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 30, 2014, 10:22:45 AM
Oh, and they weren't universally compatible either were they?

To my knowledge they were, I did not have to mess with them in any way.

Nov batch? I seem to remember them saying they weren't Oct rig compatible, couldn't mix and match due to different firmware?

Oct batch. It might be the other way around.  Huh
