To those who are complaining they can't use modules because they have jupiters with full ports: The jupiter wasn't advertised as being modularly upgradable. The saturn and mercury were. Yes, I believe they should sell more Jupes alongside the modules, but you purchased an item not advertised to be added-on to. Among the miner producers that I had a pleasure/displeasure to deal with (4 different companies and 1 scam) they are so far the best. And this BS about upgrade modules not being available is actually BS. If you wanted to get some you did get some. I've got 3.
You're a tool if you believe that. You couldn't just "get" them, and despite their advertisements since day 1, still can't. KNC was deceptive and purposefully mismanaged the entire modular side of the business on purpose--as they later admitted. Originally the module boards were going to be produced continually for saturn/mercury owners, as wanted/needed, and limited ONLY to those verified direct customers FIRST, and if there were any left they would let anyone buy them. KNC then, without telling the saturn or mercury customes, decided it wasn't worth their time or effort to waste an hour setting up database flags and controls to manage the customer-only sale, and simply opened the module purchase up to everyone in the world whether or not they even had KNC equipment. In less than 90 seconds, they oversold inventory. Because they were bafoons! This screwed the majority of KNC customers, as many of the modules went to non-customers and were ebayed at 10x value in some cases. They also admitted in failing to properly notify the Mercury and Saturn owners about the sale which led to most modules going to Jupiter owners instead--the people who WEREN'T supposed to get them first-dibs. So, NO, you couldn't just get them if you wanted them. ASIDE from that, they were supposed to KEEP making them for Batch 1&2 units, AND for batch 1&2 Neptune, but haven't, and have rescinded plans for the Neptune. SO much for buying upgradable units.

The problem with this, is they made enough boards to fill every Saturn and Mercury, which is where they should have went first...Saturn and Mercury owners. Jupiter owners gobbled them up quickly, and had more buying power, of course. P.S. ... What do you mean by "rescinded plans for the Neptune."?

I sorry for you guys, but this is the automatic answer, I got exactly same 16 December 2013 = shortly Nothing to feel sorry for... I don't want or need any modules. I was just pointing out this was a response given this morning..... and BTW; Do you really think there will be no upgrade boards, after we were told so many times there will be? I think KNC is among the most honorable companies around, and doubt seriously they would tell us so many times there will be upgrade boards, and to watch the site... and then .... pull the plug? No, I don't think so; KNC have never said they changed those plans, and re-confirmed it this morning.

Yea, those crazy 17% difficulty increases. In spite of the fact that Bitmain, Hashfast, and Cointerra are shipping in quantity, the difficulty increases seem to be slowing down. Perhaps this is just a temporary slowdown before more large increases, or perhaps we're starting to level off a bit. http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

I have firsthand knowledge they went to folks whether they were customers or not. All you had to be was REGISTERED on the website with an address. This describes thousands of folks who didn't place orders. RE: Rescinded, they had advertised as a bullet point for the Neptunes, module upgrades. On batch 3 they took that out. Oversight perhaps, but legally they're liable for making them upgradable at this point.

Define 'better'. There are 2, 3, other companies shipping equipment right now, with no intention to stop shipping. KNC's demonstrated above-average (BFL) customer service, and better than most for keeping timetables. They've failed to keep their NPS.

knc is the best mining company.
Funny play on words but I have to disagree with you. Avalon, by far, is the best mining company. The amount of btc produced for personal gain from others' money by Avalon batch II can never be achieved again. No one will be able to make that much money from mining on customers' machines ever again. Difficulty is too high. And just because KNC is mining, does not make them bad. They are not mining with machines they withheld from paying customers.

ASICMiner and Bitmain to name two. I like Bitmain, but ASICMiner was terrible to everyone except for resellers and their early shareholders. Buying any ASICMiner hardware for BTC is a great way to lose BTC. I agree that they priced their products too high to allow users to recoup their money, but who's fault is that? They ran two (or three?) auctions where the consumer set the initial sales price. The greed in this forum is what set them as high as they were from the get-go. Further they only sold product they had in stock, no pre-order, and certainly no BS. They were unprofitable and they sold a lot of hardware. I put that on the shoulders of the consumer, not the manufacturer. On another note, who deleted my post? That's kind of BS that you (whomever you are) let this thread run to 1400 pages and continue to be a circlejerk of anything and everything NOT related to KnC and then come in way after the fact and start enforcing the rules that should have been enforced from the get-go.

Bitmine starts shipping next week, Cointerra accelerates... even Avalon new gen2 miners starts shipping right from the warehouse after chine new year.... plus all chips & DIY folk... dif is going to raise and fast.
