2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: March 20, 2013, 09:51:58 AM
I MY BITCOINS ARE *STILL* MISSING for OrderID: dfa0163f-84ac-4f65-9f1b-ed36393be6e7. {'BTC': 18.527930000000001} - This order has not been completed - despite an email from bitinstant saying the order was completed on FEBRUARY 12!

this was a payment that should have gone directly to a bitcoin address.

I have emailed customer support multiple times on this issue. I have yet to receive an answer as to why the coins were never sent to me, just emails from ladesk saying my ‘funds will be deposited within the next business day.’  I have emailed customer support on:
February 13
February 18
February 19
February 21
February 23
February 25
February 26
March 2
March 6
March 7
March 11
March 12

This is incredibly frustrating. I have the receipt from where I used moneygram to transfer the cash to bitinstant. I have a ‘confirmation’ email from bitinstant. But the coins were NEVER sent to the address.

*SHORT SUMMARY*
On February 12, 13, and 15  I made 6 transactions total through bitinstant. 5 of them went through. for the 6th, I received email confirmation, but the coins were NOT transferred. There is NO record of this 6th order on the blockchain.

*MORE DETAILED SUMMARY*
I made the following orders on bitinstant:

OrderID: 2fac918a-0b2c-4fb4-8337-d38e05e43946
OrderID: 8162013c-f5c1-4612-a3de-a63ba4fc8281
OrderID: 2f5ad484-ea19-4c09-bd0a-065fdd760f9f
OrderID: 16e871ff-0552-45c7-b6e2-c4bb12e78510
OrderID: 5caa36be-2d7c-4145-a810-ceacf6018fb0 (“5caa”) (this order initially resulted in a link to an empty coinapult account, but the issue was resolved)

STILL MISSING:
OrderID: dfa0163f-84ac-4f65-9f1b-ed36393be6e7 (“dfa0”)

I *DID* get an email claiming that the funds for “dfa0” were transferred, but the tech support email referenced a transaction on the blockchain that was the result of the “5caa” bitinstant order.

the “5caa” bitinstant order initially had a problem with it as well, but that issue HAS been resolved. (support ticket [AEN-JUNJV-733] )

Here are the same 5 *CLEARED* transactions in greater detail, with links to the transactions on blockchain.info. You can verify that every one of these transactions is related to a bitinstant order - and NONE of these are linked to the missing bitcoins.

Hopefully, this information will be enough for you to send the missing 18.52793 BTC to 17Ra2DFtB8o7W8CByJ3k3xk1K5NbaaFSkf.

Dude check out  something called BITFLOOR> it was my savior during when all this started..NO ID just go to a BOFA deposit and wait 5 mnts..ITs more of a trading platform so no one to rip you off..I have never looked back..  or you could keep messing with this ..either way goodluck..
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trust No One on: March 15, 2013, 04:59:49 AM
you can always use escrow if you need it...

This is not a review of SR .  We all know that everyone who uses SR they should use the escrow ..Still good info bro..You are correct but alot of people still get scammed bye people ,vendors who mandate that they FE.
That is the biggest red flag for me..
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cash deposit worked on: March 15, 2013, 04:28:21 AM
I just did a cash deposit at Walmart and it went right through, no problems.

Haven't had a problem with cash yet.

Out of $504 I got $480.  So that's a 4.76% fee.

I have no type of connection with this site but i had problems with BITSTAMP wehen they first started with all this shit and the DOS attacks..I since then went to BITFLOOR.. Man it was the best thing i have done
.I have not had a problem since then.Check it out.Its roughly the same amount of time to get your coins. The only thing i dont like about BITFLOOR is that you have to go to a BOFA to deposit money into it.The best thin
g is that it is 100% anonymous ,just add money into the account and bingo bango..I dont care if people dont believe me or think this is a scam ..really check it out for yourself! i make nothing off of this im just trying to get
my account out of JR. status so i can post on this site so i really dont give 2 shits...If you feel like giving your money away to bitstamp and wasting your time have at it!...I just know that i have found a way to get BTC.
wihtought all the  bullshit. Also because they are like bitstamp they are not a site that buys or  sells BTC they are only a middleman that puts buyer and seller together..Nothing more..Well have fun and i hope you check
it out..It was the best thing i have ever done .I actually hope that bitstamp gets up and running again because they are 24/7 Withc BITFLOOR you have to work around banking hours..whick sucks!... Now i have 2 options..
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: February 26, 2013, 09:47:43 PM
Also what is the longest someone has been waiting. I think I saw a post a page or so back of someone waiting over two weeks? Was the alt exchanges offer to you and did that resolve your problem?

dont know what the longest was but BITFLOOR was so easy and just as slow or quick as Bitinstant.
The only bad part is you have to go do it on banking hours. That and you need to go to BOFA  Bank of america.still its a good alt.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BITINSTANT down ? (Invalid Exchange) .. 2013 on: February 26, 2013, 04:44:45 PM
I thought the thread title was referring to certain exchange options being down..like when BTC-e runs out of reserves. Options will go away/return as exchanges reserves fluctuate.

YEA i know sorry i should have made it clear .I wanted this thread to be about BITINSTANT outages nothing more.I guess it was kinda of a bad idea because their exist,s a dedicated thread to  Bitinstant.. Duhhh dont i feel dumb .lol

Is anyone else having trouble trying to buy bitcoins using blockchain as their wallet?  If so do you know why it keeps on saying invalid exchange when I try to buy bitcoins?

Dude
Ill say it again go to BITFLOOR when BITINSTANT comes on line again.. Ill be the first to use it..Ilove the ease of use but till then... BITFLOOR.  The only drag is that you have to do buisiness on banking hours..specifically Bank of America but it works!  A guy i met put me on to this and i had such a good exp. They are not like bitinstant they dont own BTC they just unite buyer with seller of BTC.. You have to go to the bank put in money in a specific account that is linked to your email and bingo bango buy the time i drove back from the bank i had funds..I tried one time with a small 200 deposit cause i was nervous and it went smooth then i tried a bigger one.Not sure the limit. Then when you have cash in your account you go to purchase the BTC .You can set a limit if you want or you can set it to buy automatically at a certain price. Its super cool ,i doubt ill do it another way unlesks bitinstant is working perfect..OH YEA NO ID  REQUIRED.. nothing!!

Just thought I'd post my retroactive review of BitInstant here.

Although nearly-free direct transfer from Dwolla to MtGox would have been my preferred method of transferring USD into an exchange, I decided to eat the 2% fee from Bitinstant to transfer funds from my Dwolla account to the Bitstamp exchange so that I could get started buying Bitcoin while waiting the 10+ days for my identity verification to happen on MtGox (yeah, new account approvals got really slow while the price was climbing from $18 to $28).

Every single time I transferred from Dwolla to Bitstamp using Bitinstant, I got the "Dwolla verification failed — unable to locate" error that numerous posters above have mentioned. Every single time, I emailed support@bitinstant.com. Every single time, Rachel at customer support replied within 2-4 hours of start-of-business-day (Pacific time) and manually processed the transaction.

Because of the relatively prompt (during business hours) email support, this process still turned out to be better than any of the alternatives I considered, but it was still frustrating. I'm left wondering ...

Has anyone had a successful Dwolla-to-(whatever) transfer process using Bitinstant, which didn't require manual processing of some kind? Is this location/verification issue a Dwolla problem, a Bitinstant problem, or both?

Ill say it again go to BITFLOOR when BITINSTANT comes on line again.. Ill be the first to use it..Ilove the ease of use but till then... BITFLOOR.  The only drag is that you have to do buisiness on banking hours..specifically Bank of America but it works!

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BITINSTANT down ? (Invalid Exchange) .. 2013 on: February 26, 2013, 02:58:02 PM
I picked the wrong day to buy bitcoins.  I have been trying since yesterday to contact Bitinstant.  I don't know where my funds are!  They should have posted something saying they were down and not to use them.  This is really pissing me off.  Bit Instant my ass.

I'm in the same boat, I hope they decide to start communicating.

hey go to BITFLOOR now! Dude so fast ,or at least just as fast as doing it the BITINSTNT way..The only thing thats bad about is that you have to put cash in an account at BOFA so you can only do it at the hours of the bank.I know sucks but it works perfectly..Had a really good exp. with them Try it..It was made for day traders i think. Ill go back to BITINSTANT if they ever come online again.I really liked it till all the DOS attacks and what not..anyway BITFLOOR is the way to go..

Cry  OK boys n girls as it stands now it looks as though BITINSTANT on of our favorite  ways to buy BTC is down..It would seem that you can not make cash deposits to any wallet through BITINSTANT.. Bummer i know . I like the ease of the use .Yes their support sucks  we all know that but they do get back to you if you post on their  support@bitinstant.com  site.
I have heard alot about them being scammers and such and this is just no so..I dont work for them so i dont really care i am just a client but i know that these guys want to go mainsteam so it is in their best interest to keep all happy. I know that they have very little staff but i doubt if these guys are thieves ..
That being said i too had my 203.95 $ in BTC taken for 3 days . I finally received them but was still charged all the appropriate fees..Not happy to say the least but at least i have my BTC.
I PMed Yankee the said CEO and i got charlie one of the owners of this site. They sent my funds but still im missing my 1.5 BTC .SO i know that i have said that these guys look like they are stand up guys that want to make it to the bigs ..This is true but they need to get on the ball with their support team. If anyone has anything interesting a story to add about how they got screwed over please add away..
Is this the last we shall see of BITINSTANT boys n girls or will they make a stunning recovery. Huh Is this the act of some nefarios  or DOS attack by hackers or worse the US government!! Stay tuned for the next episode of BITWARS...

ps Im going to make a thread about this but if anyone has a complete list of optional safe ways to buy bitcoins then pm me or start it yourself..Ive yet to see one..

I cant directly deposit BTC into my blockchain wallet anymore..anyone have any ideas why.  I goes through BITINSTNT but is keep saying INVALID EXCHANGE.  any thoughts ?

Because they have removed the cash deposit -> bitcoin address option.  None of the owners have chimed in to tell us how long this will be broken (if not forever).

Hopefully it's not forever.  There are other options apparently, they just cost more.
HEy early thanks for your thoughts..I hope not either .I dont know the MTGOX process at all is it safe ? i liked paying at CVS and at mine i can use whatever name i want any other suggestions on what might be safe to use and easy for buying and depositing BTC ? I would like to use my blockchain wallet but if the chain is broke i dont want to use it..I have heard that it is just BITINSTN..I was kinda thinking that they just stop taking in deposits till all this DOS attack BS goes away..I hate these assholes that do that .

Just got home from work and still nothing.  Filed with the BBB as promised.  Its a shame this company could not provide an ounce of customer service.  You have $320.00 of mine.  Finish the transaction or at least let me know when there will be a solution.
