381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here and wants to make some money on: December 01, 2023, 10:39:15 PM
Welcome.
If you want to make some money, do you have some skills that you can sell to the public like in graphics, programming, designing, etc.?
Like the typical freelancing skills that you can sell to those that are in need of it. This forum is also like the freelance market where projects and individuals look for someone to hire with the service that they need, examples are the ones that I have mentioned.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: December 01, 2023, 08:04:25 PM
There are some influencers that I am following who are often showing to the Public their bitcoin and other crypto maybe because they wanted to Lure more followers and maybe some will sign up to  their  crypto classes as they are offering a paid crypto knowledge sharing(some even pretending to be mentor)
but for me personally , I only share my assets to a few people and the first is My wife and daughter , and also my Mother and father .,some people that close to me also knew i am into crypto but never that i told them my assets.
It is for attraction why they're showing their Bitcoin holdings to the public. It's a norm these days on social media that they need to show off for them to get followed.
While the bunch of followers do not think of it, as long as there's money involved, someone's eyes is interested to look at the wealth of over people.
This is what influence and social media has done for the most.
383  Economy / Economics / Re: Inventing a job is better than finding a job on: December 01, 2023, 01:58:50 PM
Some people are good for just providing service and finding a job that's regular and permanent. While those inventors of job are helpful as they make more employment. Not everyone can be a boss and not everyone remains to be an employee.
There's a balance on everything but if you're the inventor type, then you're helping people to get employed and that's like a work that you can be proud of.
384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Only Sell what you don't need. on: November 30, 2023, 11:37:33 PM
Good logic about selling and buying back. But mind you that when you use a smaller amount to buy another piece of land, it's either far from the current sold land you did because it's cheaper.
That's one thing to consider when buying back another land but if it's a smaller portion then it's more possible and it's just actual land with no any fence or so.
And after you do it for Bitcoin, do not regret that you have bought it and as you watch the market up and down. Don't invest too much on your emotion.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Joy of forgotten Bitcoin accounts... on: November 30, 2023, 10:05:45 PM
Nice, usually we've got websites that have deposited our Bitcoins back then or the same goes to the web wallets that we've got.
Try sweeping all of your accounts and maybe some of it still had the loaded bitcoins that you did before.
@OP, that's like a good bonus for you coming this holiday season.  Grin
386  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: November 30, 2023, 08:58:25 PM
I have seen that problem with other holders before. They want to hold but they have other expenses that need to be addressed.
What they did was they've sold their holdings and was able to solve and address the problem that they've faced but the consequence, they've lost their holdings or not to consider it a lost but they're able to exchange it for that peace of mind.
You can always get back to holding if you want to.
In holding Bitcoin, it would be better for us to do it consistently so that we can achieve the target we have set, but when the investment is underway we experience a situation that we don't want and we need the funds and we have tried to look for other alternatives but haven't found them so we have to Selling the assets we own is certainly not ready for us to invest.

So it is important to be able to prepare funds for expenses that we do not anticipate before making an investment, because by preparing these funds I am sure we will be able to overcome these needs and also will not interfere with the investment we are currently carrying out and also we can enjoy the investment profits that we have been waiting for.
Yes, if there are expenses that are coming to us. We have to make sure that we're not going to spend the Bitcoin that we're holding.
Because since it's a common thing these days, there are a lot of problems to be made when someone tries to save his Bitcoin but at the same time, trying to solve the current problem that he's dealing with. It's just so hard to decide when you get on that part.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: November 29, 2023, 11:02:10 PM
When planning to hodl bitcoin it is important for one to be able to provide a source of income for provision and to solve problems,  if source of income is not available it is impossible to hodl bitcoin because when their is problem it only the investment people will look on to to get money to solve problems and at the end of it, it will be impossible for hodling Bitcoin to take place. When their is source of income one won't even have the time to depend on the investment.

388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe Technical Analysis? on: November 29, 2023, 04:45:42 PM
Technical analysis works perfectly well, it just depends on the user how he or she implements the information.
Not all times TAs work perfectly. But I have to agree with you that they're like almost perfect and it's helpful to the traders that are looking into it.

Most people are not disciplined to allow most of these analyses to play out, and they will come and say it doesn't work, another thing is the time frame chosen, if you don't pick the right time frame you will be shaken out of the market at every price movement, so get disciplined and stick to your plan
They will come and say that they're not working because based on them, they don't follow the procedures and they're impatient.
In trading, it's not just all about the analysis you do but also the application of it and it requires patience at most times.
389  Other / Archival / Re: Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public on: November 29, 2023, 02:20:28 PM
$5 wrench attack is what came to my mind when I see people that wears t-shirt that has bitcoin or any crypto printed on it.
While it's good that you're giving some help to market or give exposure to Bitcoin in public places.
But just as what's been asked to you if you own Bitcoin, that only gives the bad people the idea if you own one and you might be their next target.
390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: November 28, 2023, 11:05:06 PM
Just some days ago, one of my friends at the university was charting with me, and he said he wanted someone who would invest in his trading skills and that he was 90% sure of his strategy working and yielding more profit than loss. I wanted to give him a try, but when I asked him if he had invested any money yet and he said no, that it was just a demo that he had used to learn all the strategies, I gave because I didn't want to be the escape goat who ends up losing his money after his first trade.

OP, trading is for everyone as long as the person has the zeal for it. While learning how to trade, the person can also be sourcing for ways to earn some money that they can invest in the real trade and try their skill out.
People nowadays are too believing to themselves even if without the actual experience. I guess that's a good capital for them and can't blame them for being too confident without proper application of actual trading.
While it's true that trading is for everyone even these people that are thinking that they are investable because they think they're smart and skilled, they don't know yet how brutal trading is.
391  Economy / Economics / Re: Insurance is important on: November 28, 2023, 08:52:05 PM
It's your life and health protection. Because we've been working hard all of our days and with the savings and investments that we've made.
When illness and death comes to us, we're leaving this world but our love ones are going to take care for us, burials and etc.
And with those things, they come with a fee. They're not free at all but when you're protected with insurance, it's a big minus and help to them.
In the same context - insurance is important, of course. I have seen so many bitcoin users asking how best to insure their wealth in bitcoin to their heirs if something untoward happen. Obviously this insurance is a type of financial insurance - but however there are many other types of insurance that you can adjust to your needs. It is recommended to consult an expert so that you get the right insurance that you need, such as life, property, financial and health insurance.

If it is about financial protection - then insurance may be one thing to consider. I also agree that good financial planning and having emergency savings are some things that need to be considered too - but of course there are many other things that need to be considered so that unwanted risks can be managed well and possibly minimize them.
Yes, there are different types of insurance and avail the one or two or more and as many as you can for your protection. Not just for your income protection.
But also for the protection of your assets that you have worked hard. This is actually the purpose of most of the insurance, so that when something bad happens, you don't have to spend all of those assets trying to sell so that you'll use that for medication.
And with insurance, it is the one that will give you that money to solve that problem for that policy you have availed.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Often Do You Check Your Seed Phrase. on: November 28, 2023, 12:33:25 PM
No time for checking it.
If there is no problem, for me I do not need to check it because I know that it is there and intact. But these reminders on why we need to check got me guilty that I have to be so sure too that it's doing well and if the words that have been written are still fine and printed.
I did my homework thoroughly on securing my seed phrase even before I had a need for it. The articles, videos, and podcasts that I read watched and listened to prepared me so that when I secured my seed phrase I can be sure that in the next five decades nothing Earth, wind, or water can tamper with it including human forces. It is safe and secure, no need to check it.
Nice.
You have secured it probably with a metal piece or dog tag that will never get burnt and no doubt that even Earthquake comes, it's still going to be in whole piece.
That's nice that you have made your homework well and you're able to secure that regardless of what acts of nature will come.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the second most popular investment in "France" on: November 28, 2023, 09:26:13 AM
IMO these surveys should have the margin of error and ratio on what actually it shows based on the demographics of that country.
But of course, even without that and with such simple surveys. We can see that France is becoming one of the countries that have people aware of cryptocurrencies now.
It's also possible that someday that it's going to be a number one preference of many young investors of a country but, we don't know when and only time can tell.
394  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: November 27, 2023, 06:15:39 PM
Everything is gonna need to have the difficulty for someone to enjoy the results of it. Someone will never learn a lesson whether from the forum or from the market if there's no failure at first try.
Those that are wise and starting that gather information from the experienced ones to avoid mistakes is also a good strategy for them to stay longer on this market.
But, success is partnered with failure. And while most success as said by OP don't go overnight, it takes time.

396  Economy / Economics / Re: Insurance is important on: November 27, 2023, 12:21:35 PM
Insurance is the safety net of your financial plan having the right insurance in the right amount protects you and your family against unexpected events and provides a financial security. Apart from epidemics we have to face risks without fearing risks in many such dangers. We need insurance to deal with these various risks in life. Insurance is an excellent and novel method through which the risk be it personal risk or business risk can be transferred to the insurance company in return for payment of premium. Insurance plans also help in long-term capital preservation that will provide regular income benefits to meet your retirement needs.

397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What one change to Bitcoin can make it's adoption faster? on: November 27, 2023, 09:44:27 AM
Nothing is perfect and Bitcoin is no exception. Let us discuss in this thread that one change which can increase the adoption of Bitcoin further at a rapid rate.
One change? We don't need any change. We've been looking at all those points where the changes should be made long time ago but there's no need to think of it anymore.
It's because one change that we're all waiting for is about the government adoption that we're thinking unlikely to happen before. But with things right now, it's happening.

399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your big plans for the Bitcoin halving coming up in a few months? on: November 26, 2023, 11:27:18 PM
If I can consistently DCA, I'll choose that no doubt.
But if some times that I can't do it, I'll just probably go over the lumpsum type of buying o whenever I can afford to. That's still a type of DCA because I'm buying at any time that I can avail to and there's no certain period or time limit that I can do it.
400  Economy / Economics / Re: #HODLing is not a smooth journey on: November 26, 2023, 04:46:44 PM
For me it’s the other way around, I missed the chance to sell a coin on the highs, which would have brought me a huge amount, but I hoped that the project would continue to grow, in the end my investments went down minus 90% and I’ve already been waiting for about two years, but TVL is still  very far.
That's a lot of paper losses that you've got and you're not alone with that because I've got some altcoins that I've gone near to that percentage.
But that's fine because I have diversified my portfolio into several cryptos and mostly have it on Bitcoin and that has made me felt secure by doing so.

My advice: do not miss the opportunity to lock in your profits.
I reckon, learn from everyone's mistake.  Smiley
