321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 09, 2023, 12:26:24 PM
139 days left.
We've only got 365(1/2) days a year and I'm not good with numbers but this makes me think that we're still quite far to end a year but then it's easier to count with months since it's just a few months away.
Needless to say, everyone is happy now because it seems that the impact pre-halving goes to the altcoins market.
322  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: December 08, 2023, 10:24:10 PM
In everything, of course, there will always be advantages and disadvantages, including working remotely or WFH. Certainly with WFH we can make preparations more relaxed than having to go to the office, for example if we have to leave 1 hour earlier than the time of entry to work with WFH we don't have to. However, I do find WFH a little boring, because if we are used to communication or meeting people, with WFH we can't do that. If I can choose which one I want to do more, then I want to keep going to the office, but on the other hand the time to go to work is a problem for me, because I have to fight great laziness. Lol
There are people that are definitely at their best moment with WFH and don't want to get out of that setup. And there are also those folks that like to socialize with their co workers personally. So, as a worker, find what you are comfortable with and what's going to make you more productive.
But to me, I find more productive if the WFH is going to be permanent for most companies for the positions that are doable.
Now in terms of work, there is no job that suits us, so we have to get used to it. I am also one of those people who change jobs with the aim of getting a job that makes me comfortable, and to be honest I didn't find the job I was looking for. From there I realized that it must come from ourselves, any work if we can make the atmosphere comfortable it will create the comfort we are looking for.
I then thought, if we look for something we are looking for then it will be difficult to get or even impossible, not looking for it but we have to create it ourselves.
That is true, the ideal job that we're wanting to have is hard to find. But it's not impossible, there are people that have found theirs so congrats to them.
While that's hard to find, there's no option if we're in need to bring food to the table. Any job that we may be hired, there's no need to have a second thought if it's going to pay us decently and you can be the one to make it comfortable for yourself on how you're going to bring it.
Actually, that's true. Because there are people that don't like their jobs but eventually, they start to like it because of the vibes they bring to themselves.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investing - DCA on: December 08, 2023, 08:29:07 PM
Any amount that you DCA is worth it. Don't make it look like that you have nothing wherein fact that you are holding a good amount of ETH and BTC.
Think of the others that don't even started yet but they keep saying to DCA and they don't hold anything. No actions have been made and they're all there only for the words.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: December 07, 2023, 11:47:10 PM
I'll be starting to work from home on the first week of 2024  and I'm starting to hate it. While I'm typically not a sociable person, I still find it easier to work in an environment where I see a couple of dudes chatting or doing their work. I opted to work 4 days at home and 1 day at the office just to keep my sanity. Working from home might be comfortable, but it sure does remove productivity when you're someone who's easily distracted by anything. Also, time tends to run a lot slower when you're at home so you'll have to really lock in to your work and exert more effort to be focused on your tasks at hand.

So far, I think the pros outweighs the cons of being at home to work for the common worker, but humans are social beings, and physical interactions are way better than having to chat or video call someone. It will get old pretty fast, and you have to work extra hard to keep your pace steady.
That's certainly true about having a lot of distractions that shall affect your productivity. But you have to weigh things and if you've chosen that, there has to be some reason behind it that you like most. Yes, we all need to socialize but you can still do that off-work hours to whomever you can.
Anyway, with WFH setup, we still need to fight our own battles with it whether we like it or not.
325  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: December 07, 2023, 10:40:19 PM
Working from home was the best thing that came out of covid. Honestly wfh is more of a luxury nowadays I feel like.
I agree, it's more of a privilege these days because there are companies that have allowed their employees to work remote due to the pandemic.
But then, they realize that it's still best to go in an office setup for them to have network and see their employees face to face. Those that are used to WFH setup, won't go back to the former setup and that's why if you're in a company that allows WFH, that's a privilege and luxury.
In everything, of course, there will always be advantages and disadvantages, including working remotely or WFH. 326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 07, 2023, 08:59:39 PM
All of those are needed to take on this market because this how it goes. And taking your time is a must because not everyone starts perfectly.
There could be some mistakes that you'll commit when you trade actually and that's not going to be enough for you to be honest if you want to become a real trader today.
Patience is needed on this and when you don't have one, better to skip this market and leave.
We all came from being a newbie before we discovered things and gained ideas from our bad and good trader experiences. We make mistakes, suffer losses, and earn some, that was our life before but even today, losses are still somewhat possible. As newbies, we never expect to earn a profit easily nor do we think that we could learn today and become good by tomorrow because it takes time to become fully knowledgeable about trading. In fact, every trade is a learning, everything we do has something it returns not just profit but also ideas.
And just expect that you'll get to learn from your mistakes as a newbie, that's the essence of starting this market.
Don't expect that you'll have a lot to get when you start because that's how it goes, you're not the best when beginning.
But if you persist and stay and apply all of those lessons you get from being newbie, it might be worth it.
327  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 07, 2023, 12:35:52 PM
Because they didn't worked hard for the money and that's fine for those parents because they've worked for them, to give them the best life.
But there's something wrong with today's parenting, most parents that have come from nothing to something should also teach their children how to be grateful.
And how to maintain the wealth that they've obtained.
The truth is that they always want to spend money because they didn't work for it, and kidds always have the mindset of whatever they want they can get it with the of thier parent's. I don't blame kids who spend money lavishly because it is their parents who gives access and let them know they can always get what they want. If parents limit their kids on what they should buy with money, their taste for spending money will reduce. It is the duty of parents to teach children on how to value money by not lavishing it.
Because of the influence of what they can see on the society, it's all about how lavish their lives are and it's not about where it came from but how they're going to spend that.
The patronage of their parents should be needed even if they have worked their asses hardly for their kids. As that won't teach them to go through what they've been through and how to be well in managing finances.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 06, 2023, 11:13:40 PM
Unconcious and expectant rich peoples kids really spends more money irresponsibly because they believes there is always more tomorrow at when their parents lives but fails to maintain Such expensive live being if their parents are no more.
Because they didn't worked hard for the money and that's fine for those parents because they've worked for them, to give them the best life.
But there's something wrong with today's parenting, most parents that have come from nothing to something should also teach their children how to be grateful.

331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad news always brings some good news! on: December 06, 2023, 07:13:16 PM
As we all noticed, the market is quite bullish now, we hit $40k and it's already trading above that level.

I said "bad news' because with this recent development involving CZ and Binance, this usually bring some negative sentiment but look what's happening, the market is going on the opposite side and it kees getting bullish.

So this is just my observation, like in the past, about exchange getting hacked, China FUD, etc.. it all resulted to a BULL RUN!

So is this guy? Tell me about your opinion about this....
It's something like this that has to happen for the market to thrive. Maybe the conspiracy theorists are right about that these whales have got insiders.
That whenever there are bad news that comes, they're actually buying and it is no longer a secret that they do it for their own and that makes sense.
Instead of we're seeing a bad market, it seems pretty doing good instead.
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does signature Campaign Sponsors make their money on: December 05, 2023, 11:37:39 PM
I was thinking as well, but seeing people's comment here I have understand where the campegn money comes from. It's just like an affiliate marketing or digital marketing where you advertise product online and create traffic on the site and hey paid for the work. Although signature campegn is better than affiliate marketing. because in affiliate you can only be paid on the people that use your link to buy goods from them, while signature pays you without people clicking on your affiliate link.
Exactly, you have understood it rightly.
That's how signature campaign works and that's why many companies seem to do it because it is effective for their brand. Sadly, the mixers won't be allowed to do any advertisement anymore due to what the admin decided to do. But affiliate marketing and signature campaign are different.
When you do affiliate marketing, you are forced to endorse a brand and make someone under your link, while in a signature campaign. You simply advertise.
333  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea and money are very important to investment. on: December 05, 2023, 10:42:38 PM
You can't invest if you have money but you can make money if you have an idea that you can use to generate money.
It's not all that will have an effective idea that will make them money. But someone who has money and don't have a good idea, can invest.

Crowdfunding seems to be the right choice, when we have the idea and lack fund for implementation. Idea and money are equally important, but the big money out of the idea on success goes into the pockets of the investor. This is how investors create fund and keep investing on new ideas..
It's easy to think of crowdfunding but thinking on how to attract the investors there, you really must be good in sales pitching.
334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is arbitrage still possible in crypto ? on: December 05, 2023, 09:32:03 PM
is arbitrage still possible in crypto ?
Yes.

anyone has any luck with this method ?
Not me.
But I still see people but very minimal that does this because the opportunities are hard to be seen. If you look around and find some opportunity then it's still possible but with all the high fees and slow transactions, do you think that you can do it? It's possible yes but I won't do it.
335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What has been your experience with prop firms? on: December 05, 2023, 09:48:14 AM
I've been with crypto fund trader for 6 months now and I can't complain, everything is fine.
But I see a lot of comments bad other companies and that's why I wanted to know your opinions.
Are you for real with that and sure you're telling a true story? If you're doing good with that trader and you're making lots of money funding that trader for 6 months.
Then, I'd say that good luck to your relationship and make each of you rich through funding and trading as a partnership. Because for me, it's rare to hear with these types of stories so, then that's it.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: December 04, 2023, 11:19:14 PM
El Salvador President Bukele says, El Salvador's BTCBitcoin investments are in the black!

The president of El Salvador took to the X platform early Monday morning to note his country's bitcoin (BTC) investment was now profitable by more than $3 million following the crypto's rally to the $42,000 area over the weekend.

El Salvador President also said "We have no intention of selling; that has never been our objective," he added. "We are fully aware that the price will continue to fluctuate in the future, this doesn’t affect our long-term strategy."
This is a bold statement coming from the president. I think that he will always remember the mocking of people over his decision of adopting Bitcoin as a legal tender.
Now, he's in that much profit but of course it is nothing compared to the other whales. But remembering that he's a president and he's able to move advance compared to other countries, see, they're doing well. Congrats El Salvador!

I thought that Elon is clearing things on his newly acquired social media.  Grin
Well, with too much freedom that he has given to his platform. Even the scammers are also free to roam around and post the links of their phishing websites and can even avail to pay that blue tick badge.
338  Economy / Economics / Re: New business idea. on: December 04, 2023, 03:20:55 PM
Yes, there is some truth in that, even though the peanut oil content is superior, if the marketing is lacking, in my opinion it will be less effective.
It's actually the same for the other products. If there's a lack of marketing and branding, it's not going to be recognized easily.
But in a country where there is a huge competition and it's tighter. There's a need for every step to get recognized where you are marketing that product. It's a good idea though.
I admit that it is a very good idea to develop, but I think the sales targeting should be among the middle to upper level, and it would be more effective if the promotion was to those with high incomes, and usually they will consider the quality of food/drinks including raw materials such as OP said that the oil is made from peanuts which are superior in terms of quality.
Depending on who are your target market, that's on you and how you're going to execute your plans coming from the marketing and to sales.
Well, nothing is impossible if you're determined in doing these things whether you have experience or none as long as you're pursuing it and you think that you can overcome the challenges in doing this business, that's what's the important matter is.
339  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many scams have you caught? on: December 04, 2023, 02:05:50 PM
And what factors deceived you?
This was long time ago and I've been with the herd that where people go, I also go. I've learned my mistake and that's not to be reliant to everyone.
A crowd that says that something is good to invest, it could have been the same people all over again that's being shilled to the community.
So don't be too gullible when you're an investor and it's not always a good day to invest when you have just found a new project, as we say, DYOR.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can happen next time due to a lack of proper knowledge about Bitcoin? on: December 03, 2023, 10:37:41 PM
Most of the time, these days, there are a lot of gullible people and even someone who lacks knowledge about Bitcoin becomes a genius on their eyes.
And that's why they believe what the little knowledge is being told to them but you're right, that it depends to the person that receives the information.
Because if they are critical enough to verify and check every information being told to them, they won't be as gullible as those people.
It all depends on their audience, if in general their audience is gullible people or those who still lack knowledge about Bitcoin and crypto, they are very easy to be deceived.

I've seen news stories about a group of people being scammed by fraudulent investments using the name Bitcoin.
They initially gave a class on how to double Bitcoin, how to trade for beginners, but in the end had to deposit some money to buy Bitcoin that would go into their account.

But in the end it's just a hoax that will take all their money.
This is how if ordinary people find the wrong mentor or influencer, they will easily be deceived by sweet promises of many benefits, but in the end will only be cheated and abandoned.

It's okay to be stupid but willing to learn and have a critical attitude, because that will be the first protector.
Don't easily believe what others say.
I have seen the same thing in different places and it's sad that there's just a lot of gullible people that are being roamed around by these fraud people.
While I understand that with all the stupidity that the gullible people does, well to be fair I am one of them before but experience have thought me toughly on this regard.
