1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: January 21, 2024, 07:33:06 AM
You have a point in what you said. Because of the technology we have today, it will be a bit difficult for parents to monitor their children in such situations. Especially in the neighboring provinces where people live that are not so updated with the technology we have today.

But as long as we can monitor our children, let's do our best in these situations so that we can still guide our children in online gambling. And if we are gamblers, we should also try not to show it to our children. or explain it correctly to them so that they can understand the pros and cons of it.
Besides that, what their children understand cannot always be understood by their parents and their parents need more time to learn it. Parents have not been able to keep up with technological developments because many of them are too busy with their work so they do not learn more about this developing technology.

But parents can still supervise their children when they are with them and guide them so they do not take the wrong path. Parents should be close to their children so that if their children are experiencing any problems, they can tell their parents and ask for advice or solutions to solve the problem. In this case, parents need to actively supervise and guide their children well, especially since their social interactions are now very complicated for parents to understand.
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: January 21, 2024, 06:49:26 AM
I am confused, they knew it that it is haram but they gamble because they don't see it as a haram. I think these are the people that I am talking about as the blacksheeps.
No need to be confused. That is human. They clearly know that it is haram but they still gamble. That's because the temptation of gambling can make them forget for a moment about the rules of their religion. And they even say it's okay, especially if you win. Apart from that, we also cannot force them to leave gambling because they desire to continue gambling. We can only give them advice and then it's up to them because they are the ones who live it.

Exactly! , its not that we are depicting their religion, but let's be honest, some people or most of the people out there that do have their own religion sometimes do the things that are forbidden in their religion. Yes,  it is stated in their religion beliefs that this thinc is bad or forbidden, but according to human nature, they will tend to do things as they can't control themselves and they can't fight the urge. And gambling is one of them. Like the OP said, gambling is forbidden in their religion, but they still do it. Why? It's because they can't control themselves, and let's face it, not all people could be as disciplined as the other members of their religion. What should they do? Make it a secret. Yes,  maybe the god or the person they are worshipping might see what they are doing, but we can't do anything about our own desires or decisions. If we decide not to follow religion, then it is. The same goes for gambling. As long as we can't control ourselves, even if we stay in the religion that gambling is forbidden, we will still do it.
Yes, those are the people who still gamble even though gambling is prohibited in their religion. They don't want to leave gambling because there is an urge to make money from gambling so they will continue gambling even though they don't have a big chance of winning. If it is their wish to continue gambling, we can only leave it to them and that is their responsibility in gambling. The important thing is that they know that gambling cannot always make money, but they will experience a lot of losses. This is what they are aware of, so even though their religion prohibits gambling, it doesn't mean anything to them because they want to continue gambling. We just let them choose and they should also be aware of the consequences.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 21, 2024, 06:28:04 AM
You can’t stop or hinder being addicted to something by getting closer to that thing. Unless the person does not aim to counter addiction, they should not check any gambling update at all. It will start from merely checking updates, to seeing a game that’ll tempt them, to them possibly falling for it and gambling, or something similar. If you do not want to be addicted, you should have time away from anything gambling. I don’t mean partially, I’m talking of complete detachment for the chosen time frame.
Only those who have the desire to fight their gambling addiction can do it, while others will only fall deeper into their gambling addiction and find it difficult to see that they have a very serious gambling addiction. Those who can resist the urge to gamble can check the updates in the casino, check the new games that the casino has added, and so on, but they will not gamble on that day. They already have a certain schedule for when they can gamble so that they can also prevent themselves from the problems that gambling will cause. If they can stay like that, they don't need to worry about the problems that arise from gambling because they can avoid them, and that's why they don't gamble every day to avoid those problems.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 21, 2024, 06:00:12 AM
Yeah, casinos are well known to have lots of checks to actually make sure they are not losing money while operating.

Technology always has been there with the potential to win over the casinos, but the casinos always remove your chances to do it.

For example using devices for counting cards, and similar things, cameras and people in the casino are always looking for things like this.

And if you keep winning more than what's expected they keep an eye on you, and eventually you might be invited to leave their premises if you keep winning.
That is why famous casinos always ensure that their casinos can operate well and always make a profit from their business. With the technology that casinos use, they can give casinos the opportunity to make a lot of profit from losing gamblers, so gamblers should be aware that they don't need to chase wins. Casinos will not let gamblers win many games or win big because it will affect their profits. And yes, the casino will not like it if there are gamblers who often win, even if it is an honest win, so the casino may restrict those gamblers who win.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 21, 2024, 05:43:32 AM
A matter of being wise and in-control on every situation,  it's not easy though but that's the purpose of having experienced and use it as a good advantage to pick the right decision,  there are gamblers who have that good mindset and capable to stop whenever they needed,  they are good in adjusting and they are really keen in minimizing losses and maximizing their potential earnings,

but, challenges against tour emotions and greed are always that hindrances whenever you take you position and decides when you need it to be more positive for your own sake.
It's not easy, but we must keep practising it to benefit from making the right decisions and avoid many losses. Having a wise attitude and being able to control ourselves in every situation can make us think about the steps we can take and also be able to stop gambling whenever we want. We can also adapt to our conditions and situations to make appropriate decisions.

We can face these challenges because we have practised self-control from time to time. From self-control, we will know when we can gamble and when we should stop immediately before the situation changes. We must prevent that from happening so we don't experience that bad thing.
1146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Higher and lower risks in gambling is the gamblers choice. on: January 21, 2024, 05:16:20 AM
The risk in the gambling was always high when the gamblers play the game without knowledge or random betting in the gambling. The gamblers can do two different strategy in the gambling, one is low betting strategy which help you to stay in the game for longer period. The gamblers also limit their time of game in the gambling site, because the time is only thing needed one by the gamblers to win using their money. If the gamblers had huge money and no time means,it will be useless. But when the gamblers have time and no money means it’s hard for them to win the game.If the gamblers able to access both money and time at a time can help to make money.
If gamblers know that the risks in gambling are high, they should not try to take risks even though there is a temptation to win from gambling. Gamblers must be able to control themselves so as not to take high risks by always limiting themselves in using their money and time for gambling. By always limiting money and time, it is hoped that gamblers will not lose a lot of money but they can still enjoy their gambling activities. If they can do this, the number of gamblers who experience problems can decrease because there will be awareness among each gambler not to gamble excessively. Gamblers must have a goal in gambling only to get entertainment and not make money because the longer they gamble, that goal can change and that can trigger them to continue gambling and eventually lose those boundaries.
1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 21, 2024, 05:04:13 AM
It's not the right step for them to always deposit money back when they lose, but what they have to do is, when they lose they have to introspect themselves, that they won't be like the host who has complete power, so they have to be able to stop. and apart from that, they also have to know when to stop gambling, such as when they lose and when they win, even though they have won, it doesn't mean they have to continue playing, but that's where good consideration is needed, deciding whether to continue with a big risk or cash it in to enjoy the winnings. has been obtained.

I agree with you, of course they definitely have other activities that they have to do, with the gambling they do of course don't let it interfere with other things they have to do, but it is clear that gambling can make us forget about time,  so we can play without realizing the time it's been so long. and at this time they must know that they have overdone it, because it is not recommended to gamble for a long time, because it can trigger their emotions to rise.
It is true not to deposit another amount of money when we have lost because that could cause us to experience an even bigger loss than before and make us regret it even more. We should be able to introspect ourselves when we experience defeat so that we can realize that we have been gambling using more money. If they realize that they have lost a lot of money by gambling, they don't need to gamble anymore or don't need to use a lot of money anymore. They must know when to stop gambling, especially after experiencing defeat and do not need to deposit any more money but choose to rest first. We really have to decide well and don't regret it later.

If they have other activities, they can do these activities as a diversion from gambling so that they will not gamble too often. This really helps someone not to get too deep into gambling and can still take care of himself when he is gambling. With the many temptations they will encounter from gambling, it would be better for them to have better self-control so that when they are gambling, they don't gamble excessively. This will prevent them from losing more money because they have created a barrier that functions to prevent excessive gambling.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: January 21, 2024, 04:38:17 AM
It is true that gambling is an activity that is full of risks and the risk is losing money, every gambler must be able to accept the risks they take and every gambler must be willing to lose money if they decide to start gambling.
Blaming other people for losses or losses that get is very inappropriate and we gamble without any coercion from anyone, so when we lose, the best step is to learn and try to accept it.
Every bad experience will have positive impact if we can take the positive side, this will be related to much better results in the future and of course we will not feel regret or blame other people when we experience defeat.
A gambler who cannot accept defeat and blames other people or even blames the gambling site for the defeat he suffers can clearly be said to be an amateur gambler, he still needs to learn lot and gather experience before he really dares to take betting risks.

Decision making is the tool that most often makes gamblers make mistakes, they don't think long and consider what will happen with the steps they will take.
This is mistake that is quite fatal and often occurs among gamblers, but it is very funny when you see gambler who bravely and enthusiastically gambles suddenly feels angry and blames anyone, including the gambling site, when he gets detrimental result.
However, if someone has decided to gamble, he must realize that gambling has risks, and he must be able to accept whatever the risk is and only take risks that he can afford. So he only needs to gamble a few times because there is a risk of losing that money and he can only gamble with the money he can afford. This is to avoid the regret that comes when he has finished gambling when he sees the remaining money he has. Many gamblers regret having lost a lot of money while they couldn't win because that's how gambling is. Gambling cannot always give us a win and gambling can even take all our money if we cannot control ourselves. And when we have experienced defeat, we don't need to blame other people because they have invited us to gamble. After all, it is our responsibility when we decide to gamble.

The decision to gamble or not to gamble comes from us. Even if a friend invites us to gamble, the decision is still in our hands. If we cannot accept losing money from gambling, we should not gamble. So it's funny if people still blame others for inviting them to gamble because it is each person's decision.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 21, 2024, 04:20:48 AM
Yes definitely 5% money is enough to gamble on gambling platform. There are many gamblers who participate in gambling with all of their earnings on gambling platforms and at some point they become the worst losers in their lives. There are many gamblers around us who earn a week and spend all their earnings on gambling, leaving their family life in dire straits. So I would like to say to every gambler that you budget before taking part in gambling. If a gambler can set a fixed budget and does not spend money outside of that set budget then he will never become addicted to gambling.
It wouldn't be good if they used all their income to gamble because after all, they have to be able to set aside some of their income for other needs. What must be set aside is primarily for urgent needs because we don't know when those needs will come. And by setting aside a small portion of that income for gambling, our gambling activities are sufficient so that we don't waste money on other needs. It really requires practice and discipline to set aside a small portion of your income for gambling funds while other income is allocated to various daily and urgent needs.

Gambling discipline should really be practiced so that people won't fall into addiction. It's common for people to fall into the trap of having bad gambling habits because oftentimes, they get past through their set boundaries. They keep on saying "just this time, it won't happen again" or "one last time" so they can ease their guilt. But little did they know that they have been going out of their limitation for a long time that it starts to harm their fund and time allocation, as well as their behavior. Once it becomes a continuous act, it becomes a habit that can be hard to eliminate. Hence, it's essential to watch over yourself to avoid this from happening.

Betting what you can only afford can possibly prevent you from addiction. It can also prevent you having financial troubles because you are willing to let go what you risked. Coming up with 5% of your income that won't hurt your budget for other things can be a good way to entertain yourself, without compromising your life.
If someone feels they cannot discipline themselves, they must continue to practice it in everything, not just gambling, because having good self-discipline will help them manage all their daily activities. Yes, in the end playing, gambling continuously can cause addiction because many people have experienced this without them realizing it. By returning to gambling, we are experiencing signs of addiction because we want to get entertainment from gambling again. Even though we cannot win and only lose when we are gambling, that is okay because we can still return to gambling another day. That's what makes many people keep returning to gambling even though they know they don't have a great chance of winning. And it is indeed very important to be able to take good care of ourselves so that we don't become addicted to gambling.

And in gambling, we only need to risk what we can afford and by using 5% of our income, that is enough for those of us who only want to gamble for entertainment. We will not experience many losses, we can enjoy our free time, and we can also avoid gambling addiction. That's what we should be able to do instead of using more money after experiencing loss.
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 21, 2024, 04:01:40 AM
If I look at it from this side, it is probably true that people who go to physical casinos will get other services that casinos do not provide, namely the opportunity to socialize with many people in person and this is an advantage that we will not be able to get if we gamble at online casinos. With this opportunity, it can pave the way for you to have relationships with many people and maybe you can make many new friends which is certainly true what you said that our gambling will feel more fun. Now in this modern era everything looks easier to do, one example might be from gambling, you can choose according to what you want, if you really don't want to bother leaving the house then obviously your choice is to get involved in online casinos but if you want to meet lots of people in person with a lively atmosphere that can make you feel more happy or mean you are one of those people who like crowds then of course you can come to a physical casino, all of this is your choice.
So each casino has advantages and disadvantages that we won't be able to find in each casino. People will choose which casino is comfortable for them, so they will return to that casino. Building relationships with other people while doing activities may or may not be necessary, depending on what we are doing. But if someone wants to build relationships with other people while gambling, maybe people can go to a physical casino because they will meet many people from various places. In physical casinos, they can gamble with them, see each gambler, feel the sensation of gambling together, and more. But in this day and age, where there is ease in accessing the internet, people can also spend their time gambling from home so they don't need to visit a physical casino. They don't mind if they can't meet and build relationships with other gamblers while they are gambling. Their goal is only to gamble and spend their free time while they can build relationships with other people through other activities.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it bother you when dealers change during play? on: January 20, 2024, 11:50:52 AM
Sometimes I play blackjack even though I don't understand it but I've never experienced anything like you. So far, the dealer hasn't changed and is still the same person, but I don't know what happened because while I was playing blackjack, I only played a few rounds and moved on to another gambling game.

What you are experiencing is normal because, as dealers, they also have regular working hours, so when you play blackjack, the dealer has finished his working hours and is being replaced by another dealer. That is just one example of changing the dealers. But if I had an experience like you, I wouldn't mind because I knew the possibility of the dealer changing. And so far, I have not experienced that incident and am still with the same dealer.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: January 20, 2024, 11:21:20 AM
The parents had huge responsibility while the children grow in this society, because the society was corrupted now.The parents should teach the good things from their early years, because they will grow based on that. The parents can teach the gambling to their children at the earliest stage and say all the risk in the gambling site.Because when they get the gambling knowledge from their friends,it was not sure they teach your children about the risk in the gambling site.Playing gambling is not the offence, only if they loss the huge money into the gambling will create the financial burden to their family at the end.So they should play responsible gambling in real life.
That's why the task of parents is now more difficult because their children are facing technological advances so that they can find out about gambling using the internet. And if parents don't supervise their children, their children can start gambling using their devices without their parents knowing. And it has become a problem for his parents because they will continue to gamble secretly. Especially if their friends also gamble so they can gamble together while spending time playing. That is why supervision is needed from parents so that their children do not find out about gambling or other things because once they find pleasure in gambling, they will come back to gambling again and they can experience gambling addiction later. Parents also do not need to teach their children about gambling, especially if they are still teenagers and cannot control themselves because this can be seen from their daily attitudes and behavior.

1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: January 20, 2024, 11:06:32 AM
Based on my understanding it is undoubtedly that gambling is haram on their beliefs and we should respect that belief. I am not a Muslim guy but I haven't heard here in our locality wherein they were involved in gambling activities or even online I didn't see one so far. With crypto gambling we really have no idea what religions are involved on there but it is their own decision and risk to do such activities.
Gambling is haram, but people still gamble because they don't see it as haram. After all, according to them, it is a pleasure like any other pleasure. We can't say much about this because it will depend on each person. If they know that gambling is haram but they still gamble often, that's up to them and whatever reasons they say, it still depends on the judgment of those who gamble. We also cannot force them not to gamble because it is haram. After all, that is a decision they have taken and they should be able to take responsibility for it later.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: January 20, 2024, 10:40:27 AM
I would dream of stopping gambling when I get $100k, and I don't think that's possible because I won't be mentally ready to accept a win that big, and we know that getting a big win requires quite a lot of capital too, we not knowing the situation when we have reached the target, it turns out we are addicted to playing, we'll see...
I think many people also dream of getting $100k or even more from gambling and decide to stop gambling as soon as possible. But we know that it is difficult, and not many people can get it because, in gambling, many things become obstacles for most gamblers to get their big wins. We have to be aware of this so that we don't need to be too eager to try to win the gambling game. It's better just to realize that playing gambling doesn't require using too much money and only gambling enough so that we won't lose much. Who knows, by using methods like that, we could get a big win because we managed to get lucky. And we should avoid gambling too often because it can make us addicted to gambling.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 20, 2024, 10:17:55 AM
If I had a relative who is addicted to gambling, I wouldn’t give him any money no matter how little or small it is. I will only help you to establish yourself and not support an act that ruins you. I wouldn’t also let his gambling affect me because I am a different person from him, it’s his lifestyle and the best I can do is feel pity for his life but it’s his life and not mine. If you want to gamble, do it decently. It doesn’t hurt to be (and act) responsible, or does it?
If a relative is addicted to gambling, we should be able to help him to cure his gambling addiction rather than giving him money to gamble. We must be able to persuade him to leave gambling in various ways, especially if he complains about his gambling activities and he really wants to leave his gambling addiction. That is a sign that he needs help from us and we should help him get out of his gambling addiction. We cannot let any of our family members who are addicted to gambling without doing something and the best thing is that we can tell other family members and ask for their help to help family members who are addicted to gambling. Having more family members who want to help him cure his gambling addiction can give him the opportunity to start realizing that his gambling addiction is so severe that it bothers him. He can also start trying to cure his gambling addiction.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 20, 2024, 09:37:25 AM
I think it's best to check everyday but not gamble everyday. In other words, you should only gamble when you see games that meet your conditions for sports book, or pattern that align with yours for some other gambling events. It could also be that you check everyday but gamble only on days you are lead to gamble. This is very important because gambling against one's will, I mean when you don't have the urge to gamble, could be disastrous.  This is from my experience and it could work opposite for some other people but the key thing is to understand oneself and take action accordingly.
But what’s the difference of checking everyday and gambling everyday? Checking everyday shows that you are still addicted but you’re holding down yourself from staking. My thought is that one should be very independent from gambling that they can stay a week without it (if they wanted to). There are people today who are so addicted that a week would feel so terrible, like you took away their heart from them. To avoid this, start while it’s early and control your interest (not just actually staking money) in gambling.
The difference is that he only checks his sports bets and doesn't gamble daily. He will only gamble if he sees a sport he likes and he knows that sport well, then he will place a bet. If not, he would have missed it and checked again the next day because it would have been a sports bet he knew well. It can be done by refraining from gambling and only checking sports bets without wanting to play casino games. But he should be able to control himself from that urge so that he only checks sports betting daily. The important thing is that they know what to do and will not gamble if there is no sports betting they are familiar with.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 20, 2024, 09:14:53 AM
I don't understand whether special rules such as maximum bets will still apply because so far as long as you use large casino, no matter how much the bet is, it will still be legal and won't cause any problems.
It just that for the use of AI, I sure almost all casinos will prohibit it and have ways of anticipating the use of AI in every gaming system they have.
Casinos don't want to really experience losses and they always have the upper hand, this is why I often say that whatever efforts gamblers make in every bet to be guaranteed to win will never work.

Yes and that is the real meaning that the casino has far greater advantage in front of the gamblers and the casino has the power in every game or bet by providing opportunities that change significantly at any time.

From this, it can be concluded that the efforts made by gamblers are only failed attempts.
I understand all that and I still gamble to the best of my ability because of the belief that luck will always be on the side of those who dare to take risks.
It just that this understanding also makes me always avoid using AI because it allows problems to occur and it will only be in vain and it will never guarantee victory.
There may be no specific regulations from casinos regarding the use of AI, but if AI is more developed than now, there will be changes in regulations from casinos. Casinos will protect their businesses from the possibility that gamblers can gain greater profits using AI. And casinos will also apply the same thing as gamblers, namely by using AI to restrain gamblers who use AI. Casinos do not want to experience losses from gamblers, so the casino will always check the status of each gambler.

Casinos indeed have a bigger advantage in front of gamblers because the casinos own the gambling business. The casino will always check if they are still the ones who are always lucky in getting profits. And there is a way for casinos to stem AI attacks by gamblers.

We gamblers should also understand the situation and if there is a ban on the use of AI, we should not need to use AI. Moreover, we also don't chase winnings from gambling and only use gambling as an activity in our free time so we only gamble when we don't do other things.
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: January 20, 2024, 08:54:29 AM
One of the solutions which is recommended by most gamblers on this forum for gambling addiction is "Therapy" . Professional help in the form of therapy. It is good and very effective but how many persons can actually afford it? There is a fee for each session that lasts for a duration of 60minutes. And there are more than one session. Therapy for gambling addiction is expensive. How can those who are unemployed afford it?
There are free services that active gamblers can take advantage of, although it is not the same for paid people as for free ones. The question is how can unemployed people or people who don't have money get addicted to gambling? Don't addicted gamblers usually have the money to get involved in it because there is no way for people to be addicted to gambling but don't have the money to gamble.

The therapy in question can also be carried out by the family at home, although it is not the same as the pattern used by professional therapy, but at least simple things can be done alone at home with the family.
That is where the role of the family at home is to be able to help family members who are addicted to gambling using methods that are adapted to the conditions at home. It is best to discuss this matter first with the person who is addicted to gambling so that he can understand that they are using simple methods to help him overcome his gambling addiction problem. With openness from gambling addicts and their family members, they can provide the best solution for gambling addicts to start implementing their methods and can also reduce their gambling addiction.

Maybe they will start by reducing their gambling addiction slowly and although it may take longer, it is still worth doing. With help from other family members and always encouraging and encouraging gambling addicts to cure their gambling addiction, this can give gambling addicts awareness that they still have a chance to cure their gambling addiction.
1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 20, 2024, 08:31:06 AM
Some people prefer to play at offline casinos because they want to socialize with other players and feel the live casino vibe, which can improve their mood when playing. But there are people who prefer online casinos because they don't like crowds and can play anywhere and anytime via their devices - they can play more quietly without any interference from other players. So it's not a matter of shortcomings between offline and online platforms, but just a matter of gamblers' preferences.
People who like gambling at offline casinos want to experience the fun of gambling together with other gamblers, and from there, they socialize with other gamblers. While gambling, they will meet many gamblers from various places and they can chat about many things. It will be an experience different from other pleasures. It will make them get to know other gamblers and being able to gamble with them will feel even more fun. Some like to gamble at online casinos where they don't need to go anywhere and can gamble anywhere and anytime. This makes it easy for them if they want to gamble at home. They can do other things while gambling, providing them with fun.

A brief advice for the newbie gamblers.
My advice to a newbie gambler would be not to take full share of earnings on gambling platforms. 1%-5% of earnings should be used on the gambling platform. Slot dice games can't be addictive especially on gambling platforms. Those who are addicted to slot dice games suffer the most. Gambling platforms in particular should always be used as entertainment and not outside of entertainment. Here is my advice for a newbie gambler.
5% of income from gambling is enough, and it can give us pleasure. We can limit our gambling activities with that amount of money and will not be influenced to continue gambling because it will exceed the money limit. We realize that slot games can be addictive so we have to really limit the use of money. Many people have been tempted to play slots and even end up using a lot of money, but they don't win. They also try to buy the Bonus feature, which is expected to provide big wins accompanied by large multipliers, but that will only increase the number of losses even more. That's where they start to get curious about slot games so they will continue to play them until they can win.
