781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the big names are invested already? on: February 26, 2017, 07:29:41 PM
I think many big guys have bought bitcoin but in very small amount to test it and i am quite sure they will happily put few millions in bitcoin if ETF get passed.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a bagholder? Which altcoins do you hold? on: February 26, 2017, 04:23:24 PM

Shitcoins/scams : SPEX, PINKX, PND, BRDD, SPM
783  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hosting companies that accept Bitcoin? on: February 26, 2017, 04:19:35 PM
An alternative is to buy a virtual prepaid credit card that can be loaded using bitcoin and use that to buy from hosting. I did this on godaddy, everything went fine, instead of buying from untrusted hosting providers that can potentially go out of business without reason at all. Go with the tried and tested hosting providers.
Qhoster and namecheap are trusted hosting service provider that accepts bitcoin and i don't think it will be wise decision to buy bitcoin debit card to just buy a hosting, that virtual card may cost more than one month of hosting cost.  Grin
784  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need review of hexpay.org on: February 26, 2017, 04:15:52 PM
HexPay is an autobuy site, users can list whatever they want. We do not escrow payments and cannot protect users from falling for gift card scams, however we will remove them, please email them to abusereports@hexpay.org.
Thanks!
So what is the point of your service if you can't protect buyers from getting scammed. You can make a simple inbuilt bitcoin wallet which can act as escrow, there will be not much manual things to handle.

786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 main mistakes of Bitcoin newbies on: February 26, 2017, 12:13:04 PM
This article have missed to cover about low fee newbies used to put to save cost on payments leading unconfirmed transaction for many hours. That will make them panic about bitcoin and they will start blaming bitcoin network for it and some may even opt out from the idea of using bitcoin again.  Grin
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can i do with Bitcoin? on: February 26, 2017, 12:10:26 PM
I have topped up my mobile several times with bitcoin. My first choice is bitrefill to do this and they have comparatively very low fee. This is one of the good way to spend bitcoin in small amount if you can't spend it in your local store.
788  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining 2 on: February 25, 2017, 04:10:27 PM
Genesis mining are selling contracts which will not make what you have invested in next 2-3 years due to increasing mining difficulty. Buy some antminer S9 and mine bitcoin till it remain profitable, switch towards mining alt when you start to get less than what you are spending in bitcoin mining.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from ICO on: February 25, 2017, 04:06:34 PM
Nowsaday, I don't think there is any ICO worth to invest anymore.
I am thinking about investing in Qtum, ICO will be started from march. I have invested In KMD but they are still under ICO price because they haven't got listed in polo, so you can buy some cheap KMD from other exchanger and hold till it get listed in polo.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you currently Mining and why? on: February 25, 2017, 04:03:41 PM
Have you heard about brustcoin? I think they are worth mining and actually mining can be done with spare HDD space. I am going to give it a try.

It has something to do with Barry Brust?

Coinmarketcap does not know nothing about it. Nor does Announcements (Altcoins) tell you anything. A link perhaps pointing at that new miracle?
Here is ANN of burst they are pretty old alt https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.0
Coinmarketcap https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/burst/

Sorry i had used brust instead of burst  Grin
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now it is too cliched. on: February 25, 2017, 03:59:30 PM
Search about byteball and burst both of them are based on new consensus algorithm and not just clone of bitcoin. Actually there are also many research going on to provide decentralized exchange platform, decentralized storage etc using blockchain tech.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please encourage beginners to say on: February 24, 2017, 06:10:47 PM
Can all coins be mined?
What is the difference between mining coins and non-mining coins?
There are many coins that can be earned with mining either POS or POW but there are few pre-mine coins whose supply can't grow. One example is YOVI created by yobit, but pre-mined coins are not worth to invest because dev can flood the market with all premine coins.

793  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Viable in 2017? on: February 24, 2017, 06:07:01 PM
Cloud mining = most of them scam
Genesis mining = it looks profitable but you have to wait for more than 2 years to get your ROI back

Please read hidden terms each of the cloud mining contract have, they will stop mining when reward will be lower than maintainance fee. Also with rapid development of new efficient mining hardware mining with older hardware will be insignificant to get some profit out of them.
794  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone get this email on Kraken security issue? on: February 24, 2017, 06:01:14 PM
I got similar type of email from nicehash as they also use cloudflare for DDOS protection. What was the actual bug? Is it related to leak of personal information including our login credentials  Huh
795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest 10k - 20k on: February 24, 2017, 05:55:13 PM
1. Where I should buy such quantity? Up to now I've been using BTC-E and Localbitcoins to buy/sell BTC
2. It's a good time? At today it's 1100$/BTC.. Not the best moment I think, what do you think? Shall I wait?
3. I'm ready to hold it till the next halving (2020 I believe), do you consider it safe (even at the current price)
1. BTC-E and localbitcoins for high volume daily trading  Shocked Look at coinbase, kraken and bitfinex they have much more volume than others.

2. Price is pumping really hard in this week so you better wait for some correction so that you can buy bitcoin in range of 1000$-1100$.

3. If you can wait for next 4 years (next halving) than current price can be considered as good price. Good luck
796  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPN companies that accept Bitcoin? on: February 24, 2017, 03:11:53 PM
https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ is one of the well known VPN provider that respects privacy accepting bitcoin.

Check other service providers https://www.bestvpn.com/best-vpn-bitcoin/
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Double spending attack on: February 22, 2017, 07:42:45 PM
Contact that exchanger with all proofs you have about that withdrawal and if they are legit than they may send you again. I think that transaction dropped from the mempool after not getting confirmation for many hours or even days because transaction may not have enough fee which is currently around 100 satoshi per byte of transaction size.

Contact them, actually what is the name of that exchanger you have used.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of burstcoin! on: February 22, 2017, 11:47:13 AM
is mining burscoin using hdd is safe to out hard drives?what about electricity? I wonder if it is profitable mining using hdd.
It will not consume extra electricity like in bitcoin mining or other POW mining. Just open up laptop/computer and keep using laptop like normal while only spare space will be used for mining.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoins and Sleepers in Concept. on: February 22, 2017, 11:39:49 AM
There are two alts that i think will be successful in future Brust (mining with spare HDD space) and Byteball (new consensus algorithm, untraceable payments).
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would the perfect "upgraded bitcoin" look like, perform like? on: February 22, 2017, 11:34:59 AM
-> Proper distribution
-> NO ICO or premine
-> Fast transaction
-> Good development team behind

These should be the features of idle altcoin but i don't think there will be any because all alt need some fund during initial phase of development and no any devs will feel ok to gamble there own fund on development.
