61  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sellin this Account 1 satoshi starting bid on: August 07, 2016, 12:37:34 AM

Well I can't delete the topic thats for sure.

Also , I am auctioning it at 1 satoshi , how much do you think I care about it?

Well, the account hasn't had it's password changed in the short term at least - I can't fathom why you would sell an account with such a distinctive name?  The Estimated Price: 0.00509681 http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=4d906q9h although I doubt you'll get a tenth of that.

I'd bid what comes out of a faucet if I had the motivation (which I don't)
62  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2016, 12:19:42 AM
Less than 1% of my asset is in Bitcoin. But I think it will rise to 50% in the next ten to fifteen years.

I won't be voting either - less than 1% of my funds are in BitCoin and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Public Trading Calls on: August 07, 2016, 12:18:22 AM
Low volume day continues my neutral position on BTCUSD. Starting the formation of a flag pattern that may indicate growth later in the week. But official call for now is to hold cash and sit on the sidelines for the short term.

Public calls record: 2-1

How much are you actually trading?  $ 1.00 , $ 1,000,000.00 or something in between?

I think we all get your insistence on buying at the opening bell and selling at the closing bell, but you haven't explained is it all that you've bought in the day, or a portion?

Who are you getting to cross verify your Public Calls record?
64  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Hero member account on: August 07, 2016, 12:04:58 AM
Is that price really supposed to be 0.75BTC or is that a typo?

I don't really know the prices of accounts here but i know they are not what they used to be.
Is the account enrolled in any signature campaign or sold with original private key for the address you will sign?

Yes, it's 0.75BTC, but you can pm your offer  Grin.
It's not enroll on any campaign at the moment. But i won't sold it with the bitcoin address to prevent any future dispute.

But wouldn't that mean in future you could come along and say the account had been hacked and that you are the "rightful" owner - indeed if you have changed the password a couple of times you could also say that you were on vacation and didn't know until you got back.
65  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Hero member account on: July 28, 2016, 11:45:35 PM
Any signature campaigns?  Any bans or -ve reps?  What does Bitcointalk Account Price Estimator say - can you give us a link please?
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MOST COMMON MISTAKES OF A NEWBIE on: July 27, 2016, 12:34:18 AM
The most obvious mistake for the OP is after four months since this thread was started, their activity is just six!  They haven't been back online since thirteen days after the thread was started and that was started some fifteen minutes after they first registered.

Basically:  Keep coming back!  Don't just look in once or twice then fall silent.
67  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: July 27, 2016, 12:21:42 AM
It's easy to say that Banks are more secure than BitCoin Wallets and that is true to a point, however, most people miss the word Wallet in the above.  BitCoins are housed in Wallets, so it is essential that people treat BitCoins like they would with any cash.

True, you can encrypt your BitCoin Wallet to prevent theft, but essentially you don't carry your life savings in your fiat wallet, so you shouldn't carry all your BitCoins in one basket either.  That PC you're using less and less for on line stuff can house the bulk of your stored funds and have an amount in a day to day BTC Wallet.

Paper Wallets are an option for cold storage and can be thought of as your own personal bank.  (And again, would you really store all your cold BitCoins in just one paper wallet?)
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin get the ability to implement reversible transactions? on: July 22, 2016, 11:32:32 PM
As of now, (and it has always been) Bitcoin transactions are irreversible meaning that there is no way to get them back (in case of a scam) unless the recipient decides to send those coins back to its original owner. (sort of like refunds)

But, I was thinking of the possibility that Bitcoin may get reversible transactions in the future, in order to prevent scams, fraud, etc. Do you think that such thing will ever exist or what would be the consequences?  Smiley

That whole notion is riddled with paradoxes - The very fact that BitCoin doesn't have a mechanism to reverse a transaction is what prevents scamming, same with cash, the only way you can get my cash is to rob me - that's theft, not scamming.

Telling PayPal or some other online vendor that your account was hacked into and could they please reverse that transaction?  That's a scam (and is theft too).
69  Economy / Lending / Re: loan asked 0.02btc on: July 22, 2016, 11:24:20 PM
I need a loan:

0.02 BTC
interest : 1% a day
repayment date: maximum 1 week from now

1AMCAMdXUsrS5BVFEVZnSUCjNmg7nJHRBf

It certainly doesn't look very convincing, borrow $ 13 - a week later repay $ 14

No mention of collateral, nor any kind of other thing much less their own account.

Have you tried the lenders? What did they say?

One thing is sure with those negative feedback i doubt anyone will be able to lend you any ammount, as all accounts with negative feedback loose their value instant, soo try to remove those feedback and just later ask for a loan.

Given leen93 has had some considerable funds go through this Wallet Address https://blockchain.info/address/1AMCAMdXUsrS5BVFEVZnSUCjNmg7nJHRBf perhaps you should just lock the thread and forget it.
70  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: July 22, 2016, 11:15:40 PM
Sadly no.  There aren't even any coffee shops asking for tips in BitCoins.

Mostly BitCoin gets a nod in the news whenever there is a Mt Gox style theft of BTC - the whole industry is then seen as promoting theft (seemingly oblivious to all the bank robberies that occur in the course of a year).

Any suggestions how to get people interested?  I'm not sure I want to suggest to a coffee shop proprietor they put up a QR code for tips with the promise I'd buy the coins from them.  Has anyone else done this?
71  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you help with bitcoin? on: July 22, 2016, 11:07:52 PM
It would really depend on how large a pile of BitCoins you had:

If it were up to a thousand BTC then realistically speaking you could only give them away to people already in the industry for small projects, eg crowd funding, help (yet another) Altcoin to launch. (see below)

Having said that, if you printed off paper wallets and set up a booth at a trade fair then starting handing them out people would go "Oh that's nice" and most would be lost to the trash can, so that idea is kind of moot.

Faucets get well and truly hammered when word gets around that one has some serious credit.

Up to ten thousand BitCoins and you're starting to talk some serious money - public donations gets free air time:  Donating in local communities gets local media attention (which these days is all cross posted to the internet, so it can be promoted afterwards online)

One hundred thousand BitCoins, you could set up kiosks in Shopping Centres and Malls like the mobile phone companies have and offer services (Cash to/from BitCoin) demonstrate Wallets for Android / Apple / Google devices.  (This is more to bring awareness to the wider community, which isn't actually "helping")

Go out into the community to a soup kitchen and ask them what they'd do with $ 1,000 and they'll tell you they'd buy new tyres for their delivery truck and some blankets.

Portable laundry / showers have been set up in a bus that goes around parks where homeless people are which enables them to groom and wear clean clothes at least for a while.

a small number of BitCoins you could use to help people whose homes have been destroyed (think Fort McMurray) get new identity documents.

Even donating tree-seeds and other flora to get fire ravaged districts regenerated - stop and smell the roses!

Hope this has given you some ideas.
72  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about exchange markets on: July 22, 2016, 10:42:01 PM
Question about exchange markets, is there a way I can find which coin is currently making the most trades the fastest? Example C-Cex?

How many exchanges are you on?  Are you trading already or looking to start?

Some exchanges have features to compare other exchanges trades in certain nominated coins with their own exchange's trades in a certain coin, but you have to dig around and see what each exchange offers.

The trouble with coinmarketcap is that it might only poll its prices from one of a handful of markets ignoring minor exchanges who only have small market turnover.  Again, you'd have to make some comparisons.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLL -Where exactly is this "moon" everyone keeps talking about? (@today's rate) on: July 22, 2016, 10:31:56 PM
IDK - Circling around Uranus I guess...

It's kind of a hard question (no pun intended I assure you)  You might need to phrase your question a little better.

Huh

All the Alt coins talk about "to the moon" - they pump and then dump, only those in the know know what the target price is.

As for BitCoin, it's been hovering around $ 650 over the last three years (with peaks and troughs) so people might have to get used to the being the median price.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Setting up a bitcoin ATM, what location do you propose? on: July 16, 2016, 05:33:09 AM
Nerds are good... Nerds with money is even better.

Students attending University or College are usually stone cold broke so can't be relied upon to feed hard earnt cash into a BitCoin ATM.  They might be enticed to work for BitCoins, so you would have to speak to employers which comes back to cafes, food venues or taverns or pubs.
75  Economy / Auctions / Re: On Auction Full Member on: July 16, 2016, 05:30:11 AM
Screen shots don't mean anything, if you go here http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ and select the merchant button we can get a true idea of what the real value of the account is worth.

Besides, even if you haven't twerked the image, it might be from another account.
76  Economy / Auctions / Re: 112 member- almost full member on: July 16, 2016, 05:26:59 AM
OP should try to lock this thread since the account have been sold in order to avoid unnecessary bumping.

OP is probably trying to sniff out other trades for accounts not already listed which we won't know anything about (either that or to bump up the post count).
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: $705 in 11th july? on: July 16, 2016, 05:25:32 AM
I think it's safe to say the price of BitCoins isn't gong to move much beyond the $ 650's for a few weeks, if not a few months.  Most people would agree that the price was pumped before halving in anticipation of the price being what it is now.
78  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Senior Member account 300+ activity reduce cheap price on: July 14, 2016, 05:09:45 AM
Can you reissue the Estimator link as the original is from the 10th of June and has therefore expired.

*edit*

scratch that I didn't notice you'd edited the OP.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Setting up a bitcoin ATM, what location do you propose? on: July 14, 2016, 05:02:57 AM
A hotel that has a steady amount business travelers and events would be ideal.

What about inside a convention centre or some sort of place where trade fairs are held regularly?  People coming and going from other destinations can talk trade and get some BitCoins out at the same time.

Then while we're talking travel an Airport - people could pick up some BTC just before traveling then use them at their destination.  By extension a travel agent's office.  They can book your travel and you can make payment with BitCoins?

So many posts and no bids.

Why spam guys?
Bid or do not post, its simple.

Perhaps you should follow suit and read some of the posts that have been made:

I'd appreciate a Bitcointalk Account Price Estimator price guide - http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/

If you select "Merchant", then you will be able to give us a better pricing structure.

Also, any signature campaigns, trust issues? That sort of thing.

As you can see I at least am asking what the price is based on an external appraisal of the account's worth.

Am looking forward to your reply.
