443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining alt coins profitable? on: October 18, 2016, 06:38:56 PM
Stupid question but I gotta ask...

What is FOMO???  Huh

Also in terms of altcoins these days, Stratis is the only coin worth investing in right now. Stratis is following the same timeline that Ethereum did when it first started. BTC, Ethereum, Stratis are the only coins worth having.

MY OPINION, do your own research Smiley

Where did you get those frames that you mount the different rigs on?

Nice pictures, love seeing other peoples mining setups !!

3 cents a coin for a project with such potential. What on earth you can buy with that money these days that can reach x30 value worth over some time.

There are some other projects which got funded way more with their ICO and which also have good potential. Except it is easier to go x10 from here to a 35 million market cap, than a 20+ million dollar cap coin to go to 200 million.

Better buy now before the FOMO comes or you will in the future regret it and ask yourself what if... well it's too late then! In the meantime while you read this I will keep on buying more because I have faith in this becoming one of the biggest altcoins in 2016-2018 and thereafter.

Absolutely right. Feel the pain of guys who didn't bought GULDEN coin.   The same thing will happen with Stratis holders. it will worth not less than 50 million dollars at the end of april 17

Yeah but what does Gulden offer? I have not read too super alot into that coin but seems that it might just be another PnD coin. Stratis on the other hand has real world potential.

Edit: Seriously Gulden will have 1.68 BILLION coins.... Stratis has 84 million.... One of the two projects is EXTREMELY over/undervalued

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Microsoft buys them out and we get 1 Microsoft share per 100 strat coins Cheesy

Yeah staking isn't the issue it was more just idle curiosity. Thanks!  Grin Grin

I updated the stratis.conf file to include all of the nodes on the website, like 50 or something. Still have the same 16 connections that I had before.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Backing up the truck on Thursday, keep stacking Stratis my friend.

If you have not watched the QA videos I highly recommend you do; very informative.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 17, 2016, 04:40:59 PM
Let me explain it in Bitcoin terms.

Each coin when staking is the equiv of 1 Ghs ( NOT TRUE JUST AN EXAMPLE). Right now there are 25.3 MILLION coins staking, which means that you have:

10,000/25,300,000 = 0.00004 of the network. Which means you will get 1 block every ~25,000 blocks. At 1 block per minute thats 25,000/3600 = 7 days.

It says I should expect a reward every 23 hours but I get one about every 3 days.

However I also got 3 stake coins in 1 hour one time, so luck is a HUGE factor.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong.

Yep, im just going to buy another few until I hit a XX,000 number and then sit on it. Then I can start investing in other crypto coins and buy more silver/gold Smiley
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 16, 2016, 04:59:56 PM
I think people are starting to see this coin as a future investment. I noticed that over the past 2 weeks or so the staking weight for the network has gone from 18 million to almost 31 million right now.

Really cutting into my staking profits LOL
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 15, 2016, 11:41:47 PM
Dam somebody dumped 300k strat all at once at 6k. Seems that drove alot of people into the dumping fear, might be able to pick up some more strat at a discount.

Just hope the prices low until thursday when I get my paycheck and bonus so I can load up the truck!!!
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 14, 2016, 05:41:38 PM
Ill be able to add the staking %% once I get paid next week.

Every paycheck I buy alittle stratis, and a few silver coins.

Disciplined Investing. We have a long time to go yet with this coin IMO. Hopefully summer 2017 we can sell it for the $1 mark  Grin Grin Grin

454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Community Call for Claymore Zcash GPU Miner Development on: October 13, 2016, 01:28:33 PM
You do realize that you have all aready been beated to the punch by Genesis Mining.

You can check the Genesis Mining website and see they already have a GPU miner, and it has already been optimized with a 300% increase. Not saying it is in FACT true but IF it is true, then they will be, and already are, set up to destroy everybody in terms of hashing power.

This mining launch will be very, very one sided to the big dogs.... as usual.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] Decentralize the web | DPOS Forging, Trading live on: October 12, 2016, 04:58:16 PM
Thank you for the response.

For all the talk of wanting to decentralize this currency, only have 101 people in charge of the entire staking/mining process seems pretty centralized to me....  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Maybe ill hold onto it and see what happens over the coming months Smiley
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] Decentralize the web | DPOS Forging, Trading live on: October 12, 2016, 01:49:45 PM
So how does the staking work for this coin? When will an official wallet be released? How do we mine this? Can we mine it? Is it only PoS then why do I read about PoW?

Right now I am tempted to just sell all my Shift and get out of this coin because of all the BS and hassle that has gone on over the last few weeks... but the time to buy is when people hate a coin, or when blood is in the streets.

How does the long term roadmap look for this coin? What does it bring to the table that other coins don't? OP didn't really answer alot of my questions.

Thanks for the input

LOL, poor boy, I have 2 million Stratis, when I have 5 million Strat, polo will list Strat, let us see.   Wink

The buy support on bittrex is top 3. First is waves, 400 btc buy support, Ethereum has second largest, which is 180 btc buy support, we have 129 btc now. People consider Stratis as a real investment asset, I am optimistic about Stratis, the new floor seems 4500 sat. We bounce back and never be touching 4500 again.

Would you like me to take out a classifieds add to let everyone know, or maybe I can send you a cookie, Would you like a cookie mr 2m stratisdogturdcoin bagholder.

Next time please respect every investor(I marked your troll words in bold font), do not underestimate anyone. If you like stratis, don't troll here, try to manipulate the price here is not smart, bigger whales can eat your cheap coins.

  Cheesy

Just please dont dump all 2 million of your coins at once and then totally screw the smaller guys out of any profits. Ive been slowly building my stratis fortune and i would hate to see it gone overnight because you decided to buy another house.

But as always good for you on your wise investment choices!!!
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ZCash - My thoughts and Discussion on: October 06, 2016, 05:57:50 PM
Hey Everybody.

So Zcash has been having alot of hype recently. I am blaming a small amount of Devil's Advocate in this post it would be good to hear other peoples input.

So far there have been 0 Zcash coins mined, and there will not be any mined until the release date later this month. Already Genesis Mining has put out emails saying how you can pre-purchase hashing power for when this goes live. If you browse the forums you can see that somewhat modern CPUs, I would say "above average gamer" CPUs are getting around the 6 seconds PER HASH or 1/6 hashes per second. Again the code could change so take this with a grain of salt.

Zcash has had alot of big money put into the system, and it is very obvious that somebody somewhere has coded a miner that will put them ahead of the average miner. I use the term "average" loosely, because I think, on average, most of us do not have big mining farms. From the start I feel that Zcash will be making money for one group of people -- the big name investors who got it started.

People do not get behind projects like this and invest millions of dollars on a whim that it "might work". These are extremely calculated decisions, designed to make them money. I feel that the launch of Zcash is already being setup to make the most money for this initial investors and the people with proprietary coding/miners/huge farms.

That being said, always do your own research. Based on what I have seen I am not going to be clammering to purchase Zcash token as soon as they hit the market, nor will I be trying to mine this ( again I am  small fish). I also will not be purchasing "cloud" hashing power to try and get in on it from the ground level.

Zcash I think will have a good run and of course, some people will make alot of money, but I think the majority of the money will go to the dev team, and the big miners ( Genesis) that have the farms already set up waiting to hit "Start Mining" the second the code/nodes go live.

I would be interested to hear what others have to say and what their thoughts on Zcash are.

You can read more about how Genesis mining already has a farm ready to go from T = 0 seconds here ( NOT ref link)

https://www.genesis-mining.com/pricing

Of course, if you are the betting kind, you can purchase hash power from them and maybe you will make some money. However, Genesis Mining contracts always make one entity money -- THEM!!!

[mod note: removed ref link]

So, what are your thoughts!!?
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethpool on: October 06, 2016, 01:32:05 PM
I was thinking about moving my miners off of Dwarfpool into that pool.

The last 2 days my balance has not been being updated at Dwarfpool even tho I am getting accepted shares from my miner. Also it seems all of the wallets I mine to are "Under Maintenance"

Seems there is a system wide problem going on? Makes me very uncomfortable.
