Today's the day: $200 to be sure.
$500 by the end of April?

This is the only Bearish thing I've read lately that is based on fact and not emotion, without an arrogant contrarian tone.

Just a quick question. Is it possible that the verification queue @mtgox could be spammed? Is there really 16000 requests to be verified?
FWIW it took me 9 days to get verified from position 5,600 or so. I really don't believe it's fixed but rounded up to the nearest 10 obviously.

This dip was not nearly as much as I expected. Is it that A ) People are getting smarter and not messing around when Gox starts lagging, or B) We could see a double dip later today or tomorrow before jumping back on the BTC rocket to $300 next week?
Could it be that it's stabilising on its mad rush upwards?

Experience and testicular fortitude serve one well in a situation like this.
The DDoS cartel just took 23c from the weak hands.
Would someone let the Teddies back in the room now and give them back their Bitcoins?

Down we go again. Am I posting too many wall pics? Tell me to slow down if it's annoying.
No no, someone's gotta do it There's no such thing as too often when the action is occurring!

To the bears who haven't already shat their pants: put in buy orders at $172 and $163 - repent and come back to the fold.
Oh how this thing ain't done yet.

Zoomed out walls. Here's where we test the depth of buying power, MtGox's hamsters AND MtGox's DDoS-repelling powers once again I guess. This is it lads: $200 or death (by death I mean a small bump down). If we breach $195 without slipping back to $180 I will be very impressed. However: perhaps a sneaky buy order in at $163?
|
|
|
Uh, anyone checking out the market depth of bitcoinity...?
Yeah looks like someone parked the bus at $195. I will not trade the bounce, I will not trade...

BOOM! 438 BTC at $190 dead - they REALLY want their Bitcoin!
|
|
|
Those walls: I swear I can see them shifting sideways
|
|
|
Some nice 100 or so BTC buys going on there too

Oh nothing, just another ATH *yawn*

By way of an update: I now accept Bitcoin for my photography business http://tonycoleby.com. My company is a Bitpay approved merchant as of this morning. I got 2 more people interested at a party on Saturday and one is reading up all the links I sent him today with a view to buying (be quick dammit!) One friend on Facebook admits she hasn't a clue what Bitcoin is but all my posting on the subject helped her score 7/7 on the BBC magazine quiz of the week. I keep posting nice charts everywhere. Doing my bit

But seriously, Kurzweil's singularity will simply never happen - there is ALWAYS a bottleneck somewhere inside or outside of the system.
I do like the idea of living your life at the speed of light though, essentially immortal until you log out.
Will money matter if we see the singularity?

Hmmm...now here's a bubble that doesn't look to be crashing anytime soon. Sheesh, put that shit on a log chart! I know right? Looking at this on a lineair scale is so uninformative... this graph should be used for all retorts in the media when they talk about the coming bitcoin 'bubble' burst. yeah, supernova baby! That is some scary shit right there. The US is pretty much already bankrupt. Thing is, if BTC is worth $100,000 and the dollar is worth nothing then...are we all poor again?

So, have you guys heard of these bitcoin things? I heard they might be worth 200 some day.
I had a dream last night that the value of Bitcoin dropped to 0, scary. Then I woke up, looked at my firefox ticker and chilled by playing this song one more time Haha I dreamt quite the opposite - that I witnessed the Bitcoin singularity, digits multiplying before my eyes before all the exchanges crashed. Woke up and never did find out if that meant I was rich or penniless so it may have been the same dream :p
