Iconomi tokens (Currently referred to as ICN) could be a great store of value because it's the only crypto-token which pays dividends to it's token holders. The potential of this alone could drive ICN token value quite high. Add to that a debit card and total transparency; you now have a wet dream. Transparency is key to widespread long-term adoption in a huge way. This is an extremely well thought out project.

Iconomi, you just retweeted an article from Smith and Crown. That article's first point is: "Due to the crowdsale structure and ICONOMI’s business model, ICONOMI will not return value to token holders until it’s generated as much money in fees as it raised in the ICO, what at time of writing is just north of $4.5 million. This will likely take many years. (1)"
Is this true?? This seems to contradict everything that has been said thus far. Do they mean won't return the full value, or won't return any value (as in no dividends)?

1) that's purely up to you*  2) like everyone else: $$$$$  3) never invest more than you can afford to lose  * I believe this ICO will deliver some positive outcome but I wouldn't expect tremendous spike as we witnessed some time ago with ETH. |

@ICONOMI will Paypal also be an option for depositing money into your platform? I think that having it could help you reach bigger masses It's much cheaper to make a SEPA transfer then to use PayPal. Beside, I doubt ICONOMI would take the risk of dealing with unscrupulous scammers who will not hesitate to chargeback once they get their tokens |

@Romanknickl. I am slowly beginning to think that we are in denial here. I do not think that whales are trying to keep the price down to accumulate more. Did anyone question that the whales want to get out of Lisk because they do not believe in the project anymore, or that they also think that it will not rise substantially?
If you are a long term investor then it should not matter. But how long can we really wait for this?
I believe you're here long enough to understand that a project of this size doesn't develop overnight. Remember Ethereum, it toke them more than a year just to release a wallet... Lisk has already done a lot compare to ETH and we are at the beginning only |

Exactly what will be inevitable... to lose money the same way DAO lost money?  Why should they... The DAO was a broken and unaudited code that led millions to be lost.... ICONOMI will only use the Ethereum blockchain to issue tokens and distribute dividends on a weekly basis. A fairly simple job that doesn't require huge amount of coding. If you need a simple example on how this will work, have a look to coinprism.com: tokens stored on the Bitcoin blockchain... it's exactly the same principle. Besides, none of the cold wallets used for the ICO are interconnected, thus nullifying any possibility of hack similar to the DOA. |

Success doesn't measure up on how much an ICO will totalise but on how a company will use the funds.... $4M is already a lot of money and we just need to hope that funds will be wisely used. Although Ethereum has gathered one of the larget ICO ever and everyone though ETH could easily replace BTC, the (now defunct) Ethereum foundation have depleted everything in less than two years and their recent decision to fork has invalidated the integrity of their initial coins offering. Shame on them....
The DAO has raised $160,000,000.

PS: To fully honest with you the higher ICO goes the higher chances for less profits we will have (Stratis 3x Waves loss 0.95 ICO value)

I'm still not understanding how ICN will show up on ETH address. Can I send it to a Jaxx ETH wallet? Sorry, I'm an Ethereum novice.
Actually that's a good point. Personally I don't fancy downloading Mist again since it's so blotted and heavy.... Jaxx would be the prefect solution! They have included the (now defunct) DAO token in their interface. I really hope ICONOMI will gain enough popularity so has to be included in Electron wallets... |
