344  Economy / Speculation / Is BTC at $200 $300 $400 Cheap? on: September 21, 2014, 10:36:16 PM
I bought into Bitcoin around $130 and even now at $400 it seems way overpriced.

I bought in during the early stages of the rise to $1000. I think it's true value is under $200.

What do you think?
345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC now or you will on: September 21, 2014, 10:12:06 PM
It's down to $398 just now.

347  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price would you buy 1 BTC ? on: September 20, 2014, 09:21:45 PM
Getting one at $415 will be a good deal. $412 is even better if you can get it. The question is: Will you take it?

Like $3 means anything in the grand scheme.

350  Economy / Speculation / Re: September Pump on: September 03, 2014, 09:50:58 PM
surely as we have had volatility to the downside, we will have volatility to the upside.  this is Bitcoin's destiny.

it's just a matter of time.  the fundamentals haven't changed and the protocol remains rock solid.  nothing fallling ever says includes any discussion about the technical aspects of Bitcoin, which remain rock solid.  ask him to explain SHA256 and you won't get an answer.  ask him to explain ECDSA and you won't get an answer.  why?  b/c he doesn't understand them nor does he need to when his only objective is to troll the price downwards.

it won't work in the long run as Bitcoin is the best form of money invented to date.  just be patient.

I bought in when Bitcoin was under $100 and I keep my eye on developments daily. I do think it's an incredible technology but I also think it's got a lot of problems which stop the majority from getting involved.
The price is stagnant, it's certainly not going up. I don't consider it cheap at the moment.

If it can be speeded up and made easier to use (like PayPal) then perhaps it will go up.

353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do we buy bitcoin in the UK now they removed pingit and UKBT on: April 03, 2013, 10:57:37 PM
It's a joke it really is, I used to use blockchain until the stopped UKBT, I even registered for pingit and now they have stopped that as well.
Even the option above of transferring to Euros and then to USD is complicated. Why do we have to jump through hoops so much? There must be an easier way?
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Where can i buy bitcoins in uk on: March 28, 2013, 10:24:03 PM
I am wanting to buy a couple of bitcoins online using PayPal, bank transfer (bacs) or credit/debit card.

I am in the UK.

I have tried blockchain but I am restricted to the amount I can buy.

Places like bitbargain and localbitcoins seem a bit of a waste of time and out of date. Ebay means I need to wait and they are expensive.

So, where can I buy bitcoins now?
355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain.info Stopped Bank Transfers? on: March 27, 2013, 07:57:52 PM
Using Firefox instead of Chrome gives me the option of bank transfer, still no Pingit though..

Also, I get this message : You cannot place any more orders until Mon Apr 01 13:26:18 GMT 2013 (Ordered £100.0 Limit £100.0)

Wonderful!

Time to try somewhere else.
356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain.info Stopped Bank Transfers? on: March 27, 2013, 07:55:54 PM
I wonder why I can't see it, I tried logging out and logging back in a few times.

I'll try a different browser.
357  Other / Beginners & Help / Blockchain.info Stopped Bank Transfers? on: March 27, 2013, 07:46:41 PM
Hello,

For some reason, I have logged into blockchain.info and tried to deposit funds like I have over the last few days using bank transfer. I am in the UK but the only option is Sofort Banking.

What gives?

I'm sure a few days ago I could also use pingit.

Is this a temporary glitch, has it been removed on purpose, anyone any idea what is going on? Have you noticed the same?
