161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How bad is other altcoin value on: September 08, 2019, 09:53:18 PM
As the most prominent traders say, " buy the fear, buy the extreme fear. It is the point of maximum financial profit." They said buy it even when it hurts so bad. Anyway, if you still think the devs are working hard, don't dump the bottoms.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MASS ADOPTION OF BTC on: September 08, 2019, 09:48:59 PM
Christian Dekker: “I think that everyone will use bitcoin in one form or another. I’m not sure in what form this will happen, whether each person will have their own wallet or bitcoin will be part of some other mechanism in the hidden form "However, this is a very important tool, and people will use it."

What do you think guys? how many years do we need for all people using BTC?
Bitcoin adoption is around 2-3%. Look at this S-curve, which shows adoption over time. As you can see, it takes a time when adoption goes from innovators to early majority.  Wink

By the way, who is Christian Dekket?  Cheesy

I think this is more apt in line with the current market condition.

We are definitely inside the chasm now. And yes, maybe it will take a longer time than you would expect.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Worldopo - Economic Dapp game, Crypto using AR and Geo on: September 08, 2019, 09:42:40 PM
The Wordopo team are still going about the "alpha" tests for the new game. They said it has been distributed to a limited amount of users. They will be studying feedbacks about the new UI. As for exchange listing, that is still not in the cards.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing on: September 05, 2019, 02:44:35 PM
Dev team is still very active and making wonderful progress to achieve their goals. This is one of best project who have working prototype but it is undervalue that is just matter of time sooner it will get nice place.
Last time i checked SONM price it was at 200 sats, but today after hearing your opinion about them which undervalued, i try to check SONM price again. I'm a bit shocked when i see their price. 91 sats, it's 50% down from last time i checked and it even ranked on 473th place. I don't know this means SONM is very undervalued or not
I didn't understand because when the team made extraordinary progress but on the other hand the price of SONM actually dropped to 50%,
so if I may ask please explain all this in easy language so that I understand

Have you seen the altcoin market? The average losses for all is around 95%. You can't blame the dev team when most crypto investors have left altcoins for Bitcoin. Even the mighty Binance coin is now suffering losses. No one is spared. Be glad the SONM team is still working on the platform, others have abandoned theirs.
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: IRAN and Bitcoin/Alts. on: September 05, 2019, 02:31:40 PM
I heard, that BTC prices in Iran 50%-100% more, than everywhere else. My question is how this info close to the truth? How many people really want to buy/own bitcoins there and how safe to deal with IRAN?

It's complicated.  You can't afford the repercussions. Don't do it.

https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/programs/pages/iran.aspx

It may sound stupid, but what problems in perspective could I have as a non-US citizen by dealing with Iran?  Since I free to move from Eastern Europe to Turkey and then somehow to Iran (or find someone there who will move). Cuz selling BTC with 30-40% up, sounds pretty good for me to risk.

Yes, you can actually do that - travel to Iran to sell your Bitcoin at a higher premium. Buuut, they will pay you in Iranian rial in which you can't exchange to US dollars. You could buy Iranian goods like jewelries or some other high-value items, but you will have a hard time bringing it out of the country.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners in Hong Kong protests? on: September 04, 2019, 06:55:05 PM
summary:
topic creator has not done the research to realise that protests of 2-3 months have ended. the government pulled the bill that would have prolonged protests if not pulled.
(protesters have nothing to protest against now.)

basically old news, nothing to see here. plus donations wont help and will be a waste. so double nothing to see here

Yeah, the OP is a bit too late. However, we still have to wait and see if the protests spill over to the real angst among Hong Kongers. The extradition bill is just a catalyst to the many tensions in island. Maybe they will demand independence from China, who knows.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your Bitcoin price prediction for 2019 on: September 04, 2019, 06:49:57 PM
$16,000 by the end of the year. By the early months of 2020, January February and March, Bitcoin will try to break the all-time-high price and will succeed by April. New ATHs will happen in April to May and then crash back to $16,000 because many will sell the hype.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why transactions take so much time? on: September 03, 2019, 07:46:49 PM
The OP must be converting from or to Bitcoin. Of course the transaction will take time since I believe the fees are set to the lowest possible value. It's a "pay-high-fees, confirm-first" world.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum update on: September 03, 2019, 07:43:21 PM
I heard Ethereum will be updated to Ethereum 2 in early 2020.
I would appreciate you if you answer my questions.
1. Will there be a fork like we had for bitcoin cash? Or we will have to deposit our Ethereums to an address to get ETH2 in a new address? Or our Ethereum will be updated automatically?
2. What do you think about regulations? Is it possible that we will be forced to pass KYC to get ETH2?

Yes, there is a planned upgrade in 2020. Of course, there will be a hardfork. But you are asking the wrong question. A hardfork can be smooth with all participants jumping on the new network configuration. While a contentious hardfork may create a separate network like in the case of ETH classic.

KYC is usually enforceable in fiat gateways or centralized services, not decentralized networks.
170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you start trading? on: September 03, 2019, 07:38:47 PM
In 2016, trading seemed easier, as all new projects showed good results in the cryptocurrency market, as well as positive information about the new technology that was conquering the world sounded in the information space.  At that time, not enough experience was required to have good incomes, but just needed to have the basic basics of trade.

Trading is harder now because of all the bots and because of the leverage trading. The ability to short cryptocurrencies places extra sell pressure on an otherwise illiquid market (as compared to legacy markets).
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: September 01, 2019, 09:23:43 PM
Honestly speaking, I have been waiting for that day. Because BTC halving really would make a bull run in the crypto market! I have no hope for this year anymore, Bitcoin went to 13K USD plus and that was the highest growth for Bitcoin! The real bull market will come in the mid of the next year.

Actually the history of Bitcoin halving events are usually preceded by a large rally first and then when the event draws very near like days,  Bitcoin dumps to around 50% and then it consolidates and then it pumps harder breaking all-time-high prices.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN FALL 7% IN A MINUTES on: August 31, 2019, 04:29:02 PM
Why does a price movement have to be triggered by something? Could it be some holders just wanted to hedge their bitcoin? Professional traders don' t read into the news in as much as they read the price action in the charts.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties keeps getting worse on: August 30, 2019, 10:26:59 AM
You just have to accept it. Bounty hunters are the lowest rung of the crypto social ladder. No cares about your predicament. That's why you shouldn't think of bounties as a source of income. Think of it as a way to pass the time.
174  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: can blockchain.com be hacked? on: August 29, 2019, 09:45:39 PM
A website can be hacked. In fact any device connected to the Internet can be hacked. Now an offline wallet stored in a vault, without any connection to the Internet would be virtually impossible to hack.

That's why exchanges practice the cold wallet storage since it cannot be hacked. Their sites are open to attacks and attacks happen every day.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 29, 2019, 09:41:06 PM
I think bitcoin has been one of the biggest innovations of the human in the past years. Many altcoins have been created after bitcoin. But none of  them have been successful as bitcoin is. Why is that?
Why no altcoin can replace bticoin?
Every new thing and every technology is usually replaced by a newer one as the world is always developing.

The first television built was mechanical, then electronic television were invented, then colour televisions, digital, 3D, ....
The first automobiles invented were steam-powered wheeled vehicles, then electric automobiles appeared. Now we have autonomous cars. Now we have Tesla model S. Now we have Lamborghini.
All of us know about the developments made in mobile phones.

Every thing is being developed. Every device is finally replaced by a newer one. Why no altcoin has replaced bitcoin till now? Do you think it will happen in future?
I personally think people will trust what Satoshi has created more than altcoins till many years later.
Altcoins are created to make the developers rich. But bitcoin is different. Bitcoin was created in favor of us. So, no altcoin can be trusted as bitcoin.

What do you think?

Because not one single coin has yet achieve mainstream adoption, even Bitcoin. So, Bitcoin still has that first mover network effect advantage since all of them are still speculative. I believe the future belongs to the first coin that achieves mainstream adoption.

And maybe it will be Libra coin (Holy Shit!). Yeah, Facebook has the means.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss on: August 29, 2019, 09:34:47 PM
Personally , I lost nearly 1500$  from day trading. I do buy back theory now to recover the loss and invest on potential ico's. now i am going on a slowly steady way ,  if we get greedy then  we end up with nothing.

whats your solutions do you do for cover the loss?

Well, back to the drawing board. Like they say 90% of traders lose. ICO investing is a lot harder and the chances of success is almost nil if you aren't diversified. I suggest you brush up on your trading skills instead. Start with low margins and small positions.
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Huge drop happening within 48 hours! on: August 27, 2019, 04:49:46 PM
Well, it is a huge triangle formation. If it breaks down from that, in spite of the bullishness of some news and the coming halving, then it is really bearish. But I bet it wouldn't go far below $8000.

Anyway, all are probably waiting which direction the price will go.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Weird bitcoin art propaganda on: August 27, 2019, 04:35:45 PM
You should start posting here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0 instead. In fact, your art will be more appreciated if it's collectible art. Many Bitcoiners buy that kind of stuff.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: waiting for altcoin season might take time on: August 26, 2019, 10:57:12 AM
Nobody can really know when altcoin season will come back. But I'm 100% sure it will come because you cannot stop innovation and technology for improving on previous versions and people will invest on that.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Crypto trading bot beat human intelligence? on: August 26, 2019, 10:54:20 AM
A big nope. Trading bots are okay if you are trading in a small range or the volatility is small. But when there is a trend emerging or volatility is getting strong, your bot can only interpret signals from indicators which often than not give out false signals. A cross may not be a reversal, it may cross back.
