Well apparently I found out the problem why it was causing an error of "cannot read xpub error." I had the default chrome wallet app of ledger on during the time I am trying to import my ledger nano S on the electrum with segwit support.

However, it's taking a long time to synchronize the wallet. It's taken like 30 minutes already since electrum accepted my import. I'll update if it does go through.

Update: It synced after a restart! Awesome to have finally integrated my ledger nano S with electrum with segwit.

Though a new problem arises, I can't sign from the electrum wallet :/

It is bound to happen for sure, as prices of bitcoins are going up and the project usually have set budgets for advertising which is not in bitcoins but are in USD or some other fiat currency. I think it is more than fair to allow them to reduce the rates as they are actually just reducing the bitcoin size but not really its equivalent in USD.

Most virtual debit cards are no longer supported in paypal. Usually, the popular ones like spectrocoin, coinizy, cryptopay and others are no longer accepted by paypal as ways to verify your account. I tried doing this to create mine and it failed. I didn't want to use my own credit card or debit cards to verify it so I found dreamvcc's virtual credit cards to work. Though it's a bit pricey since it cost about $10 to get one.

Well that worked. Using internet explorer did the trick, but I hate using that browser. Hashflare should really fix this problem. I also see that there are problems with withdrawals again because there is a new notification about withdrawals being on hold due to some maintenance and hope this is just indeed due to maintenance and not about them doing something bad.

Anyone else having problems logging in to hashflare? There seems to be a problem for with regarding recaptcha. It doesn't show up, and when I wait long enough it will just show an error message stating I should upgrade to a supported browser, which I already have because I am using Chrome. Not sure why this is happening though, hope hashflare does see this so they can fix the problem.

I agree with this, if you want to really promote something do it properly. OP's ad did not include,

1. The product/service to be promoted (for all we know this signature campaign will be promoting a ponzi or something illegal)
2. No clear compensation for the participants
3. No manager but probably OP himself.
4. No funds escrowed, which means there is no guarantee of being paid

Generally, this is a bit shady in my book.

First link is asking about Elecrtrum 2.9.3, the previous version which does not support segwit. Not sure if updating the firmware will do the trick but I'll test it.

Second link seems to be the same problem with mine, but does not yet have an answer so I'll be watching that one to see if anyone could answer it at reddit. Hope I can get an answer here though.

I think from the above statement of DarkStar_ you are not on the list, so I don't think you were accepted. If you were, then you would see your application and an acceptance message from the manager. Which, again, is not there. So the status of your application is like denied for reasons the campaign manager is the only one that can answer.
