Usually their competition only last for a week so the doge competition already ended few weeks ago Thanks yolodice for giving us another good competition to compete with. Hopefully I won't lose so much coin on this one like the last one LOL Indeed, this one lasts one week too. I am thinking about something like "perma-competition" where we spend a fraction of profit on weekly prizes. This could be like a regular competition, but last a week only, Sun-Sun, and would be fully automated. What do you think? Cheers, Ethan

Happy birthday yolodice longlive 😍😍
Indeed, it's our birthday today! It's been two years! Honestly it's hard to imagine the time passed so quickly, but here we are! I think we really accomplished a lot in these 2 years - YD kept adding new features, coins, competition... but what I really value the most is the trust we got from YOU, our Players and Investors. This is something one cannot simply get free. Or even buy with any coins. Sure YOLOdice must look much different from players', investors' and our own perspective. But I hope we are all having some fun with YOLOdice, and after all that's the whole point. It's a game. I am really happy we made it through these first 2 years and I really hope to keep running YD long in the future. Thanks to everyone: Players, Investors, Moderators, Scott and everyone else who keeps their fingers crossed for our project! Cheers and thanks! Ethan

Anyway do Ethan really apply lightning blockchain on their site? Seems there is no notification about using lightning? I doubt that any site will use it either. Is it already stable with some of huge traffic all around?
Hi, no, we did not implement Lightning Network :-) I think it was a metaphor :-) It was already pretty fast as is. But you were definitely able to tell when the score parser was running (a few times I went and it was really slow).
So these slow-downs should be gone now. Sure there is still some maintenance that needs to be done once in a while when bet speeds can suffer, but it should not be as dramatic. Cheers! Ethan

I had to completely rewrite the code that was generating High-Scores stats. https://yolodice.com/#stats/scoresThe long-running queues started killing the database and affecting the performance, so I implemented and idea that came up when talking to Dooglus a while ago - instead of aggregating data over a hour/day/week, we now only process "differential datasets" every few seconds and update the metadata we keep internally. The conclusion is: the stats are up-to-date now, even the weekly stats and all-time stats. You still need to click "Refresh" to get a new version though (this might change later), but the important thing is that there should be no more bet slowdowns due to generating stats. Dooglus, thanks! It works!Cheers, Ethan

Good news everyone! First, the leaderboard keeps changing. Cashflow still leads, but most other players keep wagering, possibly hoping to score a better place or keep their current rank. Second, the prize pool finally started growing! Site profit recovered just enough for the prize pool to start moving. I know it's not a lot, but there is still one day left. Maybe we'll see some exciting fight just before the finish line :-) Cheers and good luck, Ethan

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY EVERYONE!!!
I wish you all best, but what's most important: THANK YOU for being with us! Without you YD would not exist. So if you are either a player, investor, moderator, or a fan - thanks!
Really love working with you! Cheers, Ethan

To all the participants: Hi, note there are new signatures available in the Referral section of YOLOdice, here: https://yolodice.com/#referralsThe only difference is that DOGE is explicitly added to the sig, but I highly encourage you to update the signatures. To all candidates: you can still join our Referral program and earn commission from players you refer to YOLOdice at 0.2% referral rate (which means you'd earn 0.2% of the amount your referrals wager) Cheers, Ethan Sig previews:

Today I pushed a new change to YD: new followers will NOT grant XP points. Here's why. When we introduced XP we wanted XP to represent something like "reputation". You could get XP from your referrals, the amounts you wagered and invested. We also thought that if more people followed you, your XPs should reflect that too. Unfortunately this led to a few problems: first, some people tried to abuse the "XP from followers" system by creating hundreds of accounts just to gain XP. We dealt with it. But another thing is that people still keep nagging other players to follow them just to get XP and this is really hard to fight. A single high-roller follower would boost your faucet amounts a hundred times. We decided to remove the motivation to get followers at any cost. Hopefully this would decrease amount of spam, nagging and all the "follow me" issues. Other than that, the other XP-related stuff are still in place, so the more XP you have, the higher level you get, the more bonuses and special features you can use. Cheers and good luck! Ethan

Ethan said DOGE will not be added to the on-site exchange, because its wide price fluctuations would result in big losses for him even with the 3-4% fee.
True. I am not ruling this out completely, but for now DOGE is not available in the exchange mostly because price "so volatility". On the other hand I can see adding DOGE was a good move, I have no idea why I hesitated so long. Anyway, looking at the stats, I think both players and investors have much fun. There is already almost 20,000,000 DOGE invested, mostly on leverage 10. Thanks and good luck! Cheers, Ethan

YES, THE WAIT IS OVER! The minimum investment amount is 0.1 LTC. You can use leverage up to x10, this would boost your investment effective value to 1 LTC. So far the site has won over 3,600 LTC, some of that during the competitions. But I think it's a good indication that things will go in the right direction. Good luck and thanks for your trust! Cheers, Ethan

So, I finally got convinced by these DOGE-bots that we should have DOGEcoin. You can play and invest. Yep, investments are open from day one! very cheers :-) Ethan

DOGE is most likely coming on Fri, so stay tuned!

to be honest I was hoping to see investments open for both LTC and ETH before adding new coins , personally I find more value holding LTC and ETH than holding DOGE so not sure why the owners decided to add DOGE and make it public for investors while still not opening LTC and ETH
I can tell you a rumor that LTC investments will open shortly after launching DOGE. Maybe a week after. But it's unofficial. Cheers, Ethan

very variation much profit so funNext week, prepare your coins because we'll be opening DOGE investments too!

Congratulations to whoever won this! Another twist in the players-vs-investors battle.

Thank you for the great competition! The prize pool ended ~ 51.5 ETH, which was pretty nice! The endgame was pretty calm, but overall I think it was fun!
Stay with us and cheers! Ethan

It's over 45 ETH already. Not bad indeed!

I'm pretty sure the house has always had a 1% house edge, and I'm almost certain there was never a 0% house edge.
We've always had 1% edge, but the effective house edge is a bit smaller since your rakeback rate increases the longer you play. During the competitions it was not uncommon that the game itself proved to be in favor of winning players. Right now the prize pool is over 45 ETH, and there is over one day left. Cheers, Ethan
