Putting all my money on bitcoin is more smarter than going for altcoins? I think bitcoin will always surge even if it loses value today, i never think twice about this anymore because in the past if i never switched to altcoin i would have be in big profit today, what do you guys think about my plan? Stupid or 👍
If you put your money in Bitcoin is smarter long term because the price is going steady up and is much safe than in altcoins. But if you put your coins in good alt projects, you can gain much much more since an low cap alt can go up even 100x which on Bitcoin is unlikely to happen in let's say 2-3 years. |

We had to move nodes,sites and explorer to other servers, so explorer setup and sync will take some time. I understand, I thought you are working on since you are moving from "nobt.info" Take your time! |

@ othell_rogue We prefer to use safe method to importing blocks in wallet. We did update the nodes DNS IP addresses, pls change your addnode to node1.freebits.win - node2.freebits.win We are also started nobt platform bounty campgin https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?topic=84968.0I understand, now the bootstrapping finished. It took little under 24h to complete. Thanks for the tip, I will change my addnodes right now. Regarding the campaign: - this is good news! I will have a look later today. I hope that 2020 will be good year for cryptocurrency as well as nobt.

No, it's normal. the importing bootstrap file progress will take two days or so.
2 days ) then is not a bootstrap in the real meaning, at least what I expected. I used snapshots in the past and it will take only the time to copy the files in the NOBT folder. If you have the wallet synced, please upload somewhere the 3 files needed for the snapshot ('database' folder, 'txleveldb' folder and 'blk0001.dat' file, then I and other users can replace the files in the wallet folder and the sync will start from there. It will take less time than bootstraping with your method. I used this method with many other coins wallet, most of them get crushed and the wallet balance become zero. Ok then, I will try your method. Thanks for the heads-up! |

I know there is a line to add in the .conf file something like `server=1` but I am not sure. Well, nobt node conf example is daemon=1 server=1 listen=1 staking=1 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=12476 rpcuser=any username rpcpassword=any password addnodes 1 2 3 etc Got it, thanks! Added this to my .conf file. Now I must wait for my wallet to get full synced since I started from 0 block height and then I'll keep it on. Why you don't use bootstrap https://github.com/nobtcoin/Nobtcoin/releases to get full synced faster ? Thank you a million! Just wanted to ask if any snapshot is available for use. |
