61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: November 03, 2020, 06:18:23 PM
From 2114 identities 1480 was killed, and 634 was failed. The growth is really very small. My friend was disappointed with Idena, and killed his identity. I did not even try to convince him.

Sorry to hear this! Can we know why your friend was disappointed about? I may assume because of the price which implies low money return, but maybe is something else, and maybe devs can fix it. Feedback is always appreciated. Thank you!
It seems to me that he is very greedy, that's all. In this case, Idena devs can do nothing, haha. Many people in this world want to push a button once a month and earn huge amounts of money. There is nothing we can do about it.

Of course the devs can't do almost nothing about the price, since is driven by supply and demand. If this is the case we can't do anything to get him back.

Yes, this epoch has shown really small growth. At the same time, 2114 people was failed last validation (1480 were killed). As a result, we see not a fall, but even a small growth.

I wouldn't care too much about the 1480 killed identities, since I think those are old members who killed their identities for the stake and rejoined the network.
What makes me sad.. the 2114 identities who failed the validation.

you're right,i hope that the option, the buyer knows something that we don't know, is true!!!
So it will be a great thing, because we can see that he/she bought a looot of xmg! I am trying to buy xmg and stake, and hope that there will be a surprise in the near future!! Tongue Tongue

Same here, I hold a bag of coins since XMG got delisted from poloniex and the price plummeted, was not worth it to sell then, nor now. Maybe one day...

Any news on this one? Also is there a max supply?

No news yet. World went crazy but V is up and running as usual.

There is no max supply.

I wonder what kind of news people are expecting, maybe we can work that way.
Indeed, the crypto world went crazy with this Defi euphoria. I've stayed away tho, since I bet many will get burned sooner or later.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 30, 2020, 07:01:18 PM

Indeed, very little growth this last validation. Only 29 more nodes, but its still a positive number.

Btw, idena.today's metrics are wrong, the number of total validated nodes is 4751 not 4755. Saying it for the graph, not that it matters too much...
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 30, 2020, 10:41:21 AM
Actually there are 4722 valid identities.

As for the "crazy growth" of the network, I doubt it, since the reward is getting smaller and smaller with the network growth, so many will leave. Maybe this will change in the future since we are on a semi-mainnet (semi-testnet) phase.

^Is that so? I think the more people who join the network, the more rewards the user can get. It seems that I was wrong.

^I have downloaded Idena, but until now I haven't received the code  Undecided

Yeah, the reward/block is fixed, so the more people join the network the less rewards we all get. Not that this is a bad thing tho.

BTW, if you still need an invite I have one for you, just PM me.

2 invites left here, if anyone needs any.

EDIT: out of invites.

Ok i see,but gambling with over 1.5btc is a lot,i think that the buyer knows something that we don't know !!! hahahaha

For some 1.5 BTC is a lot, for some is "coffee" money. It depends how many BTC you own, in our case he/she owns.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 29, 2020, 09:31:40 AM
I like to go back to mining Idena after a long vacation I downloaded the software and tried to install but it's been hours and nothing is happening, it's not moving at all I have a good internet speed 22 MBPS can anyone here explain what's happening.

Are you trying to run the wallet and node locally or on a VPS?

Good to hear people come back and support the network.

Hi everyone,so it has been a long time that everybody is dumping xmg on btcpop, and there is this BIG buyer that bought like over 1.5 BTC worth of xmg,but why??? Why someone would pay over 1.5 btc for a coin that doesn't have any developer? I can't understand

Maybe is someone who knows something that we don't, or he/she is just gambling with XMG. Sometimes putting your money on a coin such XMG it could give you a x100 return.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 27, 2020, 10:18:06 AM
I must say this project is actully very very ambitious, if the team can make it work it will be a total game changer for the entire industry. I expect a crazy growth of the network, base on the stats it is growing very fast, more than 4000 nodes now, incredible. Shocked

Actually there are 4722 valid identities.

As for the "crazy growth" of the network, I doubt it, since the reward is getting smaller and smaller with the network growth, so many will leave. Maybe this will change in the future since we are on a semi-mainnet (semi-testnet) phase.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: October 26, 2020, 10:08:24 AM
It will not make for our case for ADA to go up in price since Wikipeida refuses to list a Cardano page.
Wikipedia says that CEO Charles Hoskinson's company 'lacks credibilty'.
I disagree here since there are so many other projects Wikipedia lists.  Maybe he dont like Hiskinson.

Maybe is not what are you talking about (the right post/page about Cardano) but I found something on there about Cardano: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardano_(cryptocurrency_platform)

Don't be naive, Sushi and YFI didn't got on Binance for free, this is what CZ or Binance employees says, but is not what really happens behind the scenes.
Binance is asking between $250000 and up to $15 Millions depending on the project, to get a coin listed there, even tho is not a upfront fee.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 25, 2020, 06:02:08 PM
Even if the validation is not easy, this coin must be listed on big exchange like binance, gate.io etc to increase the trading volume, Once it is listed to such exchanges, no one prevent them to become the next ethereum, at minimum they can list it on yobit to attract more people otherwise this crypto is just another garbage

Getting listed on a major exchange like Binance, OKEx, Kraken is a very good thing for the project but such exchanges asks a lot of money. Also this is not everything for the price.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: October 24, 2020, 05:24:55 PM
Thanks for your reply. I think this Cardano project is quite promising, and the opportunity to get passive income is generally very cool!

You're welcome!
Indeed getting some return on your ADA is a good thing if you are a long term holder, since you won't be affected by the inflation, at least not that much.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 24, 2020, 11:00:14 AM
I hate to see that I never got a good score in validation because of too many irrelevant filps, I hope that the team may study how to prevent the bad flips, because even you are smart enough, you can never understand most of the flips in validation time.

I hope that team will 100% focus on sharding/oracle/smart contrants. IDENA (validation) is not about making people fill good about how high their score is (how intelligent are they). It is about separeting bots from real person. Real person is someone with more than 60% in short, 75% from 10 shorts and 75% in long session. If you have more than it means that your score is correct (real person is verified, bot is separated) and validation session works correctly.

BTW:

And this includes all errors (f.e. flip didn't load), my obvious mistake because of validating while being drunk etc.

To be honest ... lately i was thinking that dumb, no sense flips is a double-edged sword. Its harder to validate because of them but ... its also impossible for AI to figure it out. And we ... humans will always try to think what would majority do with such dumb flip and in most cases it works. AI will go random in such situation. So dumb, no sense flips do their job too (separeting bot from real person)... maybe even better than obvious flips (car driving, car crash, hospital, cemetery) because they are (or they will be) easy for AI.

I agree with you, but I think @john1010 is upset not about his score, but about the fact that he is under the limit of 2nd invite from the human status.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: October 23, 2020, 07:26:01 AM
Hi guys,
Last installed SIN Core Wallet for Windows, when i try move some SIN's to my mobile android wallet , I get this error "Conflicted".
I tried many times, but no luck so far. Can you help me please ?

Hey mate, I think you are in the wrong thread. Check it out.

It's doubtful ICX will ever recover.

Never loose faith, ICX is one good project from thousands out there which stood the test of time, maybe it won't reach the ATH since the market matures and the fomo from 2017-2018 won't be as hard as it was, but I think Icon have a lot of room to go to $1-2 again.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sora (XOR) - The Decentralized Autonomous Economy on: October 23, 2020, 06:08:33 AM
Is Soramitsu a Sora company makoto? Looking at the name, so it looks like.
BTW, thanks for the constant updates about the project @makoto!

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: October 23, 2020, 06:03:51 AM

That is if you are looking short term but if you look at the long term potential what you will be mining now could worth $1 each or even more
I remember MRAI or Nano now I used to mine 400 MRAI daily now it's now worth $0.933581 each imagine 400 MRAI daily for a month unfortunately I sold all of it at 500 sats each not even 1 cents back then.

I understand what you are saying, that's why I am still here. But hoping that the price will go to the moon is not what people are expecting when "mining" to make a profit for their time/money investment.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: October 21, 2020, 09:32:24 AM
I once bought some ADA in 2018, before the total dump of all crypto currencies, tokens have never approached their ATH since. I think I still have some tokens on my old wallet, I do not touch them, because it makes no sense to sell them now. I was not following project since dump, not sure what the current situation is.

Good to you! I would suggest staking them into a pool if you don't want to sell them. It will give you ~5.5% ADA yearly.
