I'm actually growing fond of this guy...
Joey for president!
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: August 07, 2013, 10:09:05 PM
my ip changes often so i think that wouldnt work here

I can get your IP when you connect to the pool. Firewalls would be an issue though, especially with multi-rig setups. Who knows if those settings really need to be changed dynamically anyways. Probably too much work.

One could have a small batch script running that pulls the latest settings from your site and if they changed restarts cgminer...
It would be easy for you to write a small API that returns the settings in JSON from http://middlecoin.com/settings

I could easily write something that's either a bat file or something in Node.JS

Awesome, better then expected!

I just lost almost BTC2 because of this. Damn.

Did somebody force you to sell your shares for lower than you purchased them for?

I'm glad all these shares are getting dumped. Hopefully, they'll get bought up by people in it for the long game and not be put back up for sale.

After I sold all my shares at 0.3 couldn't resist now and started buying again.  Grin

Now is the time to get in.

I kind of agree, I called .0015 as a fair and I still stand by that.
Everything below sounds like a good deal in the short term.

Guys, probably a stupid question, but why aren't we mining primecoin?
Looks like it's pretty profitable.

I don't believe there is a publicly available GPU miner. As far as I know, the GPU mining programs are private. I've been mining primecoin on my CPU, but I don't think it even covers the cost of electricity.

Ok thanks for the fast reply, I had a feeling it was a stupid question Smiley.

One more question recently I barely manage to receive 0.04 BTC / Day for 1.2 MH/S isn't that a bit low?
It also looks as if I have some quantity stuck at "Immature Unexchanged Balance (estimated BTC)".

The pricing better be darned sweet or december won't be worth it.

I'm running on -I 20 with two 7950's running at 620 each with barely any rejects. Less then 1 percent.
I don't understand that so many people are having issues, am I missing something?
What are your settings? mine are -thread concurrency 23200 (dunno why but it works better than 22336 or 24000 for me)
vectors 1
gpu threads 1
worksize 256
intensity 20
595kh/s
Im getting 15% stale
oddly I am also running a 6950 which is getting stale of 4 %

Ditto. My 7950 is getting more stales than my 6950 but ain't concerned like 50% of this thread is. Overall a lot more profitable than anywhere else. Guess everyone is trying to identify optimization opportunities.

JR

I will look them up for you tomorrow, but I have been mistaken on my reject % it's about 10%.
549  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.2 BTC for 1 week on: August 06, 2013, 04:17:30 PM
Are there still people around that are so stupid they believe they can beat the system?
I thought evolution took care of things like these?

Hi Joey, If you are still here a friend of mine is planning to start the church of "Hakuna Matata".

He is looking for a couple of recordings of people singing this song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB5ceAruYrI

Especially try and get the part with "Slimy yet satisfying", He would like for people to say that when he offers them the body of Simba.

If you upload a YouTube video of you singing this song together with your mother he said he is willing to consider giving you the 5 BTC.

Thanks in advance!

This thread, is fucking gold!
552  Economy / Services / Re: Bounty 0.2btc Help me bulid an awesome PC on: August 06, 2013, 02:47:06 PM
Instead of giving you list of prices I'd rather ask you why (I assume you are a gamer?):

- Why does your PC have to be able to mine LTC or BTC? I hope you know it won't earn anything, use a lot of power, won't be able to game while you mine?

- Why 32 GB of Ram? Unless you want to ramdisk a lot of stuff this is entirely useless. (Instead go 16 GB)

- Why 8 Core CPU? Again pretty much useless unless in extreme computing scenario's (NOT GAMING) (Take a Quad Core i7, Haswell or Ivy bridge doesn't really matter as the gains of Haswell are mostly targeted to laptops)

- SSD and HDD Requirements are fine.

- GTX 780 Can power a 4K display and is a pretty good buy (This card won't mine very well)

Please re-evaluate your requirements.

Regards,
San1ty

So what's the latest? Does KNCMiner look on track for September delivery?
Read the thread.

TLTR!

let's say there is a 50/50 chance they will deliver as promised. it is too early to come to a conclusion. they are very silent, so it seams the process is not under their control at the moment, could be they are waiting for the chips to arrive. there was a discussion somewhere about the posibility to produce 28nm chips for a small buisiness but I got the feeling it is not imposssible in general.

Thank you very much for the reply, there are still kind people around it seems. I'll send you a tip, just pm me your BTC address Wink.

Discuss... how was I wrong?
Well, "slow drop to IPO" was wrong, because we didn't see the IPO price again. "Towards IPO" would have been correct.

"I'll be right on the 0.0015 being a correct value for now" is your opinion but, at the time of typing, it's an opinion with which the market disagrees (price is currently > .0015, closer to .0016).

So pretty much wrong. Grin

- Price has touched IPO even if it was briefly, and it definitely went towards IPO (Right on that regard)
- I am saying correct price right now is .0015, even if the market is currently .0016 that is great but that just makes it .0001 overpriced at the moment. (If you see big volume closer to .0020 you can call me wrong, otherwise I was Right)

I notice a lot of jelly for my toasty!
559  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO] [IPO] [FAQ]BTCGARDEN MINER---Eyes to the horizon on: August 05, 2013, 04:04:09 PM
lol what a comment from post above

have you seen the volume? its nothing all it takes is one person to sell off big and you will be eating your words

Apologies if I have offended you, my choice of words might have been a bit strong.
Either way, let's find out who will be right, shall we.

Up until now I have seen one big sale that caused a little bit of panic and then the market recovered back above IPO.

But if some whale wants to dump again, sure no problem, come at me bro!
560  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 05, 2013, 03:43:42 PM
Seems like we have finally achieved true value.
IPO has been like 2 days ago, it seems a tad premature to talk about "finally" "reaching true value".

Time isn't very relevant when it comes to market sentiment on a security...
I was right on the slow drop to IPO, I'll be right on the 0.0015 being a correct value for now.

LOL.  No, you weren't.

Discuss... how was I wrong?
